I'm a HD fitter. I've got the armor 9, was a hiccup with the speaker but fixed under warranty. Very understanding customer service. When this phone gives up the ghost I'll be getting another ulefone. (Australia)
I've got the armor 10, went to take a photo of the kids underwater, approx 1foot underwater on the side of the pool. Now the phone won't turn on anymore and fair to say I believe it may not have been as waterproof as ulefone has advertised. I hope I can get it to work again, other than that it has been a great phone for some time for me. (using the wife's now phone as I write this)
so, you'd probably have a replacement when the rubber case starts to oxidize, too bad... reminds me of most silicone "tough" casings. other than a rubber case would have been nice, for longevity... perfectly contented with adding 3rd party protective case. More so if you want to keep your phone for more than 2 years.
Cant agree with speaker of U10 5G, If you turn in setting speaker boost, its alot better and usable. Also i like 60/120fps on videos 1080/720p. Ofcourse you cant have everything best in phone what is focused for workers and pretty hasrd conditions where other phones just fail. But good review.
Do you have a sign on your gate warning visitors to "Beware of the Chicken!" I'm definitely not going to mess with that fowl at 12:26 - maybe you should just stick that photo on your gate ;-)
Haha, he's locked down in our greenhouse at the moment anyway on account of avian flu doing the rounds :( He's fine with me, but doesn't like my 6 year old. Can't blame him, mind ;)
@@MakeUseOf Aye, the avian flu is a real pain (lots of chickens and pigs here in east Yorkshire too), like we don't have enough trouble at the moment - this is getting biblical! Locusts next? Back on topic, my ancient iPhone 4 is starting to decrepitate and I've been thinking about replacing it but with what? I'm not a heavy phone user and 4g is a bit of a luxury in these parts too (sometimes 3G needs a following wind) but a decent camera, GPS, email, messaging and a few other useful apps is all I need so I took your advice and looked at some of the other Ulefones and ordered the Armor 8X - at £140 it seemed like a good deal. We'll see. Thanks for the review.
So, how is it as a phone? Call quality? Will I, or the other end be saying "what did you say? " often? I work in busy environments, so a loud earpiece and a quality mic are imperative. I'm running a S8 Active right now, for 4 years. Also, any issues with an SD card? I've read reports of compatibility issues.
Didn't have any issues with calls on my end, if anything louder and clearer than the iPhone X I swapped from; nor did the other person complain about quality, so I assume it was fine on their end too. I only use Sandisk SD cards, and was able to trasnfer files to/from it when used as portable storage. Any specific issues I can check for there?
Any permissions settings that seemed off? An Amazon reviewer had stated they had issues with the SD cards and the camera's permissions security settings. I'm following up, as perhaps it might've been a buggy software setting, since remedied.
I love rugged phones, #ulefone Armor 10 is definitely a king phone, with 5g capability enabled. If I win it, I will do 5g test for you James. Liked your stunt to literally sit on the phone, lolz. 📱❤️👍
I'm looking at getting this, but do you (or anyone in the comments) have any thoughts on this one vs the Armor 11 or 12 that came out since this review was done? I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S9+, but I've gone through 2 LifeProof cases in 2 years (got a cheaper one this year), so I'm looking at rugged ones. I tend to drop things in snowbanks, so I figured I'd look at things with built in protection. I do want something that would run things like Pokemon GO or Ingress where you have GPS and the game running, but this looks decent. Better than the Kyocera I tried using a few years ago...
I've got the Power Armor 13 at the moment for testing and the battery is insanely big. Actually the whole thing is insanely big. More weapon, than phone. I did have the Armor 11, but internal specs were identical to this, so I didn't bother posting a review, it would have been the same but smaller screen. Not sure about the 12.
I actually have an Armor 11 at the moment, I'm a bit late with the review. The only difference is that the 11 has a smaller screen, and night vision (photo) camera. Otherwise the internal specs are identical. Yep, it's kind of weird. I prefer the 10 simply because of the huge screen, but that's an entirely personal thing.

Great review. 1 year old but still accurate. do we need to put an extra screen protector ?

Great and honest review. Got mine sub and like💪💪💪
So the Armor 9 has a Flir and this does not?
They made a Armor 11T 5G! No reviews yet though
@@ericlotze7724 Do you know how many MP is the Thermal Camera?
Thank you.

The camera app is showing as permissions for location, mic, storage (those three are obvious), and telephone (less obvious why it needs that).

This is a brilliant phone
I love mine.

I really wish they would just build ALL PHONES like this, Especially your top of the LINE PHONES.
Umidigi also sells a rugged phone, has a heat cam too. Just never buy into these preorder things. If a seller hss stock, go for it.
