Hello Art-Family!
If you like this one there is a full length version on patreon for ($5/month). This was a fun one. Sketching some rocks and rushing water in the sketchbook with gouache. Thanks for watching!

Nobody narrates like Jared and his painting skills are top notch too😅
Aww always nice to hear from you! :) that’s really encouraging and helpful at the moment. :)
“Looking for the shapes” … I heard that and can’t wait to practice that myself. Thank you - lovely scenery, painting and narration.
Beautiful painting! Love all the little shapes and details coming together, and the colors look splendid against the tan sketchbook. Thanks as always for taking the time to share your process with us!
Thank you for watching! :)
Really enjoy these videos. Excellent work!!
Thank you! That means a lot!
Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing and explaining the process
Thank you, I appreciate you watching.
Great as always bro 😎
Thank you!
Thank you, mastery of gouache!
Thank you :)
Gouache on toned paper. That’s what I’m attempting for “Plein Airpril”. I just ordered A small beige Hahnamule sketchbook for the texture of the paper. Strathmore is too much like cardstock for me. What are you using there, or do you prefer? I also hate buckling paper. lol. Thanks. That painting is really cool. I live in Ga. Lots of moss and creeks! 👍🙏🏻🌿
Awesome! Good luck! I never have time to participate but would love to one year.
This is strathmore 182lb mixed media toned. The regular toned is a bit thin. This stuff doesn’t buckle. It’s great. I’ve really liked the hahnemule papers I’ve tried so you won’t be disappointed. This 182lb stuff is pretty cheap- comes in pads you could rip out like panels or I take them like this to a staples and have them bound.
did you feel the earthquake today?
I did not :) I'm on the west coast of PA. I don't think we felt it unless I missed it. We are getting crazy flooding here in Pittsburgh.
@@JaredCullum we just had a nor'easter in Mass. It's been really rainy this winter/spring. I guess I wouldn't wish earthquakes on anyone but it kind of suspends belief for a few seconds. a million thoughts raced thru my mind and here I was thinking my brain was slowing down! I enjoy your painting videos.
@@lindysmith13 Well- be safe. :) Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment :)
