In the US, the following stores also carry vehicles that are pretty similar in scale at $5-$10. CVS, Walgreens, Lowes, Home Depot. I've gotten sports cars, taxis, cops, trucks, junky cars, vans, but I've never seen military vehicles carried.
There are kits, but if you use a model kit, the fewer parts the better. Armour Fast and Plastic Soldier Company are good bets.
This has been so helpful, thanks buddy. Finding good vehicles has been a struggle. I'm glad you know about Turnbase Miniatures. I've been a patron of theirs for a couple of years now and they turn out some really nice infantry and vehicle STL's.
There is also an artist on cgtrader by the name of CGmorph who has a pretty robust library of vehicles, including quite a few that are good for modern wargaming. Most of his stuff is 1/35 scale by default but could easily be scaled down for 28mm prior to printing.
Thanks mate! Yeah definitely a fan of TBM. I used mostly his work on ly last campaign!
For people completely unfamiliar with 3d printing, you can get some vehicles on ebay but there's a big difference between "resin" and "fdm" vehicles. FDM will be low quality but cheaper, Resin will be high quality but expensive. So depending on your budget you might have to get FDM 3d printed vehicles or you could get Resin printed vehicles.
I have found Ali Express (basically Chinese eBay) is cheaper. Takes a while for the kit to arrive, but if you want modern civilian vehicles, there is a wide range. They are 1/43 scale, look for cheapest prices.
yep I also heard that. Never ordered there though
Perfectly timed video. I've had the same problem for a while; and this input has helped a lot. Thanks for the great video.
Cheers mate. I have 4 of these "where to find x for modern wargaming" so come check the next one on saturday ;)
@The Solo Wargamer will definitely do!
Top ... good shop recommendation
Checked out Ebay directly for the Jumajo vehicle. Thank you very much for the video, this really helps a lot for Spectre and TWD All out War! 😊
Indeed, works for anything modern :)
I remember these vehicles use to be $1-$4 made of metal from China 20 years ago
I wish they were still the same price ^^
@@TheSoloWargamer A few days ago I discovered a place selling these vehicles in $5-$8
❤
A heads up. If you need more hmv's from spectre miniatures. They are available at this moment.
All good on this side. I have 5 of them and a friend of mine just succesfully finished his kickstarter for humvee and they have way more variety :) but thanks!
Thanks!
Je galérais pour trouver certains vehicules...
Maintenant je sais chez qui allait!
Un grand merci m'sieur! :)
Avec plaisir 😁
Some great ideas
Thanks :)
One the BTR, can you replace the barrel with with a brass one from the company in Poland? As far as turrets, instead of gluing, can you use small neodymium magnets?
indeed, that could be a way to fix the barrel and yes, I know many people use magnet but for these gaz turret, I don't really need magnet, just placing the turret the way I want is working fine.
Who is the missile launcher made by? I can't seem to find it on Amazon or Ebay here in the states.
Also, speaking of objectives, have you seen anyone that makes either a SCUD missile launcher or other ballistic missile launcher in the right scale? Great work... love your videos!
A random seller on amazon. It was put as 1/50 but was actually 1/43. I reached otu to them when I saw that and they took down the object from sale since that :/
For the SCUD, maybe Guaro3D? that would be the only one I can think of.
@@TheSoloWargamer Thanks!
