The New Best Printer
ua-cam.com/video/QhamNfiq-1s/v-deo.htmlsi=PUML1XQ2VLFfxAq1
Very helpful bro, appreciate it.
For the much more expensive option the s8 brother pocketjet 883 that was recently released combined with electrum gold standard transfer paper its absolutely amazing and can print with shading like an inkjet , over wifi, bluetooth or usb , batterys also available. it's also even smaller than that one but yea $$$$
Get them to send me one for review 😂
Bro why do i keep seeing bad reviews for the s8, i really want to get it but i dont want to spend that ticket just to have ridiculous malfunctions with it, so you say you personally like the S8 alot?
Looks like it will be pretty decent
I bought it for $120, too, it's quality, the cost is super! 203dpi I also have a brother that prints slightly better at 301dpi but also costs 7 times more! unbeatable price quality for now!
Yeah I’m definitely surprised by the quality for the price!
I still have yet to get my hands on the brother printers 😩
Where did you get it for that price? It's $250 on the site
Is there any chance you can show us how detailed and small the designs can be achieved with this printer?
@@lexsapla Yeah, I got the new brother printer and I’ll compare it to this one and see what can print the best at the smallest detail!
It’s going to be a few weeks yet till that video is out.
any recommendations on a non blue tooth stencil machine? i have a ol skool 3m transparency maker thats heavy an huge.....bout 30 years....its worn out
Love how you respond to everyone. The link you sent for CNC doesn’t have the stigma logo/ emblem like the one you have; is it the same printer?
Yeah it’s the same printer Stigma and CNC go through the same company and rebrand the printer. You might be able to find the printer cheaper if you look around
I poirchased one amonth ago works well but ican t get much ontent on the different content like one has skulls one them Japanese ect but works great
Try out the ozer printer from element tattoo supply. That thing is replacing the inkjet printers you can print some really good detail check it out 🙂
How does it compare to this cnc printer?
Can you post a link to it here?!
Hot tip insert paper before power on to mitigate excessive beeping (i have toddlers who wake to annoying noises and i cant tattoo with them up so i learnt this the hard way haha) the its just power on beep, then when its complete you can just turn it off before the finish beeps.
lol thanks for the tip 🔥
@@adamdarklord algoods man! great review alot of artist seem to be looking down on the product as too cheap (as in quality as well as price), as if you have to spend thousands of dollars to do it "properly". i think that it stems from the whole "you can only be a tattoo artist if you learn and work in a specific way from another artist" or gatekeeping mind set. Do you think the only way you can become a "real" tattoo artist is through apprenticeship? (here in New Zealand you can tattoo anyone over the age or 16 with no license or medical cert)
I got one for ya bud. How's it work with printing out horizontal lettering? Or long straight lines. Or large patches of dark?
I know some of the ones that you have as your backup tend to bind and crumple the stencil paper unless you print long straight lines at an angle.
Hmm 🤔 I’ll have to try that out!
I’ll feature this comment in my Brother printer video where I compare all the printers to each other!
@@adamdarklordwaiting for that 🥲
The yilong ATS886 was tested out along side this printer, the brother and another brand in a video I recently watched. The yilong appears to have given the best results surprisingly. Have you test one of those?
My next two videos going up are stencil printers. I actually turned down the review of the Yilong one 💀
To be fair I didn’t look into it when I turned it down it was only because I got a few I have to review still.
But I’ll look into it now 😂
Can you share which review that is you’re speaking of?
@@osakabinladen I think it's this review
ua-cam.com/video/ALpRxY3k-ps/v-deo.htmlsi=UxbO7cPPHrXDnkAG
I have the same exact printer and it’s not printing at all… the error light stay on… and the paper release doesn’t work either… i’ve followed all of your instructions as well…any feedback as my next move? Return? Or keep trying?
If it’s broken then I’d try and get a return maybe film a small clip showing the issue and send it to CNC on Instagram.
Posting the issue on UA-cam might get their attention lol
Hi Adam, Im an artist In Lafayette Indiana...Im fed the f@#k up with my Epson. I own an old 3m thermal but for todays deasigns...its a headache. Id like to see how well the cnc does with complex designs. Ive also read (Today) , that you can hook the cnc up directly to your PC which is a must as i edit via photoshop...Do you have any insight on the complex design capability.
I believe it can do complex designs.
I’m actually testing two new printers and videos on those should hopefully be out next week
The way you load your printer with the paper works? I have to get rid of the yellow one too, and feed it with the white sheet up
Weird it works for me the way I put it in and yellow sheet still on. They must have changed something in the later batch’s..
China does that sometimes
Are you 100% sure your printing white sheet down and yellow sheet up? the thermal lamp in the machine is at the bottom so the white part of the paper [the part you apply to the skin] needs to be at the bottom (face down), so it goes white/blue/yellow.
hey do you have issues with the app? every time i try to add my stencil to the app I have to restart it to add another.
thanks
I actually went back to my inkjet printer because we had a big tattoo event and it was quicker to print off that and now I’m still using it. So I haven’t tried the app in a minute. I always closed the app completely after printing something off and in-between stencils
Can it print out something you drew yourself as a stencil or just stuff from the app?
Yes it can print anything
Just bought this printer and it's been such a headache.
I was less stressed just teacing everything by hand 3 times before tattooing.
It's either way too dark, or barely visible, there's no in between.
Any ideas?
I hand stencil my design in the Procreate app or stencil using the Ghostline app on the iPad before printing. I never directly print an un-stenciled image on any stencil printer
@adamdarklord I'll look into that. I'm doing it all off my phone mind you, so not sure if those apps are tablet exclusive.
But hey... all part of the journey to become a tattoo artist right??
@@drummerwolf8000 Definitely pick yourself up a used IPad and Apple Pencil. It’s a total game changer for doing artwork and designing and stenciling.
I believe the Ghostline app or Tattoo Stencil app is on phones
I have had at least 5 inkjet printers I’m looking for the best thermal printer that will do a lil shading
You would want the brother s8 printer if you want the best one.
This is the Chinese version of that one but it’s not bad
ur awesome
I try
So can you print any images feom it? Sorry im kinda dumb...?
That’s not a dumb question at all!
Yes you can print any image as long as you get the free app for it
I already changed 5 inkjet printers 😢 you are 100% correct, the ink drys inside and now I don’t know what to do. How can I flush the printer? As you mentioned it.?
Go watch like 5 UA-cam videos on how to deep clean it 😅 I believe if you look on Amazon they have a eco tank printer cleaning kit. I did it one time and then the printer broke like 2 months after that so I just got a new one 🤦♂️
Also watch people who do sublimation printing how they clean their ecotank printers got even better tips from some lady who is a crafter not tattooist. Sublimation ink kills these things just as fast as us with our inkjet ink she had some really good tips
Don’t hope
To jinx it but I’m not print everyday . But still first printer only last year summer i some day can’t print anymore very light stencils . Then had to do a deep clean and slusht minimum of a year
Of ink .
So realy curious about that kits and now I’m not filling it anymore full .
And from now I’m only filling the black tank and leave small stuff of the others
I love the very detailed stencils how much dpi is this one , I do realism with old style stipples not a complete picture but has to have real detailed prints . I like to have a brother type back up so love to someday try it when the ink again do some bad stuff
Thanks for the vid man !
@@ri-ealismtattooart2244 Yeah definitely don’t fill the inkjet black tank all the way full lol you never know when you’re going to run into an issue. I’m honestly surprised mine hasn’t shit out in awhile.
Make sure you only print in black and gray and yeah a keep the other tanks at a bare minimum.
I just got the brother Wi-Fi printer and that’s 300 dpi resolution I’m going to start testing it out next week and I’ll be making a video on it comparing it to this one. Some people had issues with this CNC one but I haven’t yet and idk what resolution it is I just know it’s less ress then the brother printer
It’s a really good printer but I ran into a problem lately it comes out faded even tho I put it to the darkest option ive only had it for a month
🤔 I’ve haven’t had that issue yet. I use the Ghostline app to stencil and on the app I make my outlines super bold and dark, then I save the image and print it off on this printer.
I’ll be getting the Brother s8 printer soon and a comparison video with this printer should be out next month hopefully mine doesn’t run into that issue…
Hey same here man. But the more I think about it. It stopped printing well when I ran out of paper it came with and I started using cheaper paper from Amazon. Idk I just started noticing this problem and I cant remember if it was the paper or the printer. I think I'm gonna have to buy better paper and try before I judge the printer cause I already threw away the box because I was sold on it.
@@TheeDrMoseleytell us what happened then please
@@seromagashi oh it was 100% the paper. The printer is great. You just can't skimp on paper unfortunately.
Dude have you checked out the yilong ATS886. I don't know which one to get?
I haven’t checked it out! If the Yilong one doesn’t have the loud beep sound then go with that one lol
@@adamdarklord I don't know if it obnoxiously beeps or not lol. I'm leaning towards that one. I mean I'd really like to have the German thermal machine buts it's over a grand.
@@kevinstrosnider1545 I’m getting another $160 printer sent to me right now by a company to review so that video should be posted in about a month. Many many artist use the S8 brother printer and I got one it’s very good
Does it always print the full size or can u make the stencils smaller??
I believe you can adjust the size with the app. I just adjust it in procreate on the IPad b4 printing
@@adamdarklord awesome thanx!!!
What type of needles is the machine compatible with and is there a type of brand you’d recommend?
I’m confused by your question 🤔
Can you rephrase it, what machine? The stencil printer doesn’t take needles or ink 😅
Smh sorry man I was originally watching your review on the critical torque tattoo machine review and the video ended and auto played the one I commented on
@@mileswan9583
Oh I see lol
The Torque is very strong and can literally use any cartridge needle!
It can use single needles all the way up to 100+ needles at a time just fine!
I order needles and most of my supplies here store.truetubes.com
@@adamdarklord appreciate you getting back to me buddy
Can u add images to the app. Or is it only on the app
You can add any images
Where do you buy spirit paper for 20 dollars?
Honestly I might have been wrong about that I see only the 25 pack for 20$ 😭
im trying to combined 2 images into 1 for a tattoo do you have any program recomendations
If you have an iPad use the app Procreate!
@@adamdarklord im using a pc or andriod tablet id perfer pc tbh
@@josephbelliveau7783 Photoshop with a Wacom tablet then is the best for pc then
So is CNC the originator of all the other brands on Amazon that look identical to this model? Or is it virtually the same?
It’s hard to say if there’s an original supplier the companies are ordering from then re branding or if CNC owns the factory line, I don’t know 🤔
Could u use these on shoes as a stencil?
I have no clue but I don’t think so. I believe it would smudge and stain a shoe 🤷♂️
How this compare to brother thermal tattoo printer is smaller and portable too
I don’t have the Brother printer, as far as I know it’s similar and a bit more expensive. This one works through an app. Idk if the Brother printer works though an app or internet connection 🤔 I’d love to get my hands on it for a comparison video!
The brother one have been staple for many artist for years
@@kelvinlee9735 I’ve known of it, just never got one
The brother printer can do gradients I don't think this one is capable. But this one in the video is also a great step up from those amazon ones I feel like this style will be the new standard for the budget option
what about ozer thermal stencil copier?
Have not tried!
I got the wormhole stencil printer and it’s pretty good, it’s my next review video going up in a day or two
The App dosnt connect to any Printer. Dosnt show up on the app, any idea what to do ?
I’ve only tested the app with the CNC tattoo printer. Another printer might be able to connect if the printer uses Bluetooth but I haven’t tested it. A very good app that I use with other printers is called “Ghostline” on IOS only.
@@adamdarklord oh okay, i dont think my printers have Bluetooth. I know this app but i wont pay for a subscribsen
@@romanschurr.tattoo Yeah hopefully they update the app to allow printers to connect over Wi-Fi.
the Ghostline app is definitely worth it. I use it almost everyday I believe if you go to their Instagram you can find a %30-%50 off discount code
@@adamdarklord its not about money i just hate subs, i would buy the App for dunno 100 or so but i wont sub any apps. Myb there will be another App soon 😅 or they update the app
@@romanschurr.tattoo lol I’m the same way
can u resize on app
Yup!
Try printing a tattoo with lots of shadows in it please
I moved on to testing other products, you have to ask someone with a more recent review.
You can print shadows but it’s not going to be as strong on the skin. I recommend stenciling it through an app first.
Easiest way to get rid of the beep. Open it up and cover in the hot glue. It'll dull it completely to be tolerable but while you still have it and don't have to solder our fuck shit up
That’s a very good idea!
Wheres the beep sound located
It's still cheaper and much better quality to use inkjet
Its price is $245.99?
Yeah I believe so, they have many of discount codes on the website otherwise if you message them and tell them you found the printer from my video they might send you a discount code 🤷♂️
It's pants. Darker doesn't even make it darker. Try print a lion
What’s wrong?
Too much useless words. Try to pack your video in 2 minutes next time.
Put paper in, print, done!
Companies that send me the products expect a certain length video.
Next time put the video at 2x speed its a game changer ⚡️
