- What can we say about these beautiful boys? Well it was immediately felt just how sweet and gentle these two are in everything they do. So very respectful. Just a couple of true gentlemans in every sense of the word.
When they were released into the big open paddock, I’m not sure there was a dry eye from any of us. Especially when Brax took off with such impressive speed and power but an obvious excited skip at the start. Like wow I’m free! This is what I was born to do. Run free.
Honestly, anyone would be lucky to have either of these dogs as their companion. Aunty Sam sure commented a few times how there were no Greys in our pack. But surely these two will not be up for adoption long. They’re just so sweet.
Please help us by sharing these adoption posts so that we can try to reach Tim and Brax’s special people, who we know are out there somewhere.

BRAX’s PROFILE:
We'd like to introduce Brax, a handsome Greyhound born 1st April 2019.
Brax is a lovely young man who loves everyone he meets. While he's very affectionate and sweet he does pull quite hard on the lead and is quite strong for his breed. Due to this we are recommending his owners be strong and relatively fit.
Brax is unfazed by dogs of all sizes and he showed no interest in cats. If you have a resident cat at home we recommend a slow and controlled introduction to ensure the safety of all animals.
Due to Brax's racing background he is not suitable being rehomed with pocket pets.
Brax has shown no signs of separation anxiety at the facility so we believe he would be fine being left alone during the day. He is super playful and loves his toys.
Brax is such a sweet and loving boy who wants nothing more than a home he can call his own. He also loves to lean on you when walking.

I adopted my first retired greyhound over 20 years ago. Mine have been all ex racers and have never lived in a home. It is the most wonderful experience ever. I live in a small village in the UK and with my first girl people would stop me and even cross over the road to talk about her. When I let her the lead and she took off doing circles around me it always brought tears to my eyes. The most beautiful thing I had seen. At the moment of posting this I am cuddling with my greyhound girl . Please adopt the greyhounds.
I don't think these two will be in rescue for very long, they are so outgoing for x racers. obviously haven't had their their soul knocked out of them like most. I had greyhounds too many years ago, three x racers and one that i found in the park and according to studbook he wasn't a racer, but they said that he was probably a private coarsers. he was a gorgeous big black very handsome boy and i loved him to bits.

@@beckyboop3517 3 of mine were good racers and were well looked after. My boy 'Blue' was not so good and was picked up in Ireland in a sorry state. He was the most loving boy but it took a long time to win his trust. He will always be 'My Boy Blue'. I lost him aged nearly 15 years old a few years ago. 💔

I just heard on the radio news that surrendered and dumped animals have increased dramatically. I don't understand the cruelty and non-caring attitudes of mankind. I thank everyone wholeheartedly who rescue and care for these beautiful creatures. Cheers Rosemary Perth Western Australia (71 yrs)
I DID NOT CRY. And I am lying because I only did not cry like a baby for the first 10 secs. They are a couple of very special dogs.

I too have cried watching them run during these last 2 videos. First one was a real ugly cry.
I have a rescued greyhound, I had Charlie for 7 years. He raced for 3 years. He is a senior now and still doing his zoomies. Greys make awesome pets, no barking, total love bugs. Gentle and regal they are awesome. To watch a Grey run truly is breathtaking.

As someone who has had rescue greyhounds and lurchers, I want to dispel the myth that they need tons of daily exercise. Sure, they need a good run on a regular basis, but they also love lazing on the sofa, just chillin'. They are incredibly rewarding companions with wonderful temperaments - gentle, laid-back, sweet and loving. And when they run, they are poetry in motion!
The speed they have is unreal. Beautiful to see that in an open field for fun and joy.
To see Brax and Tim run brought tears to my eyes; so free, so happy to run. Such beautiful dogs. I pray a lot of people in your area of the world are watching these posts and may be interested in adopting the shelter dogs; I pray so. ❤❤🙏🏼🙏🏼
Two beautiful, polite all round athletes who deserve to spend the rest of their days on the couch. They were so happy to get a chance to run.

I have 2 beautiful black Greyhounds sleeping in front of me at this moment🐾🐾❗️I’ve worked with Greyhound Rescue in Florida, USA for years. These “30 miles per hour couch potatoes” are perfect pets. They love to run, but equally love to just be walked - as long as they are with their human☺️. So glad The Farm gave them this wonderful video. Thank you Sam and Luke. Love and hugs ❣️🐾❣️🐾❣️

I live in Virginia, and am friends with a woman who has been doing Greyhound rescue for 20-some years. She says her dogs will zoom in her yard around the house 2 or 3 times, then are just done🤣. The rest of the day is just lazing and riding in the car with mom or dad. 😍😍😍
@@eleanorgordon9228 The local animal shelter that I volunteered at had a small dog park. It was never too busy so a couple who had just adopted 2 greyhounds started to use the park. It was the fall season and these beautiful dogs had just come off the race track in Florida. So, it was a bit cold for them even with their coats on. They would come in, race around the park 2 or 3 times and then stand at the gate shivering waiting to go home.

Slimmers was great, severally abused. But she had a fantastic life with me. The tears were coz those greyhound’s were just so beautiful! Like poetry in motion.

I also have a greyhound and I can confirm that beside the obvious, their speed and elegant looks, they are the most affectionate, loving and peaceful dogs.
My dog is quite happy to spend lots of time on the couch and to just love all who are near.
I occasionally foster dogs and my greyhound is like Yoyo, so very kind especially when playing with the fosters in accordance with their size and age.
What a very remarkable effort this is by everyone at the Farm. These dogs are clearly adoptable and I hope they all find marvelous homes quickly.
My friend described her retired greyhound as a "40 mile per hour couch potato" because he loved to run at full speed but once that was done all he wanted was a soft couch and snuggles while he napped.
You have definitely made the decision of a lifetime, when you decided to help the rescue dogs. These videos showcase these wonderful dogs at their best, not just being seen on a quick walk thru viewing them behind a cage. Absolutely lovely. ❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful, they are so graceful when they run. Greyhounds are known to be great companions and basic couch potato’s. So great to see them stretch their legs and feel free, and to see them swim as if it’s second nature to them.
What a beautiful moment, to be able to run free and enjoy the farm. Really hope all these dogs can find their forever homes. Showing them outside the shelter really let’s you see a different side to the dog.
I would adopt them if I could. The sweetest dogs and just run for awhile then nap. Love them. I wish there was more than just a like button.💕💕💕
There is no way anyone can prefer watching these guys run on a track and watching them just run free in a pasture. One is free and happy and the other, well, i have no interest in watching. Much rather have them running happy. Just a beautiful sight. 0 to 60 in seconds. Very impressive.

Greyhounds are like potato chips (crisps), you can't have just one. These 2 make me tear up. They need a lot of love and allowed to just be what they want. No agenda.

Tim and Brax are amazing! They will make great additions to any family. I remember Luke saying in another video that while this breed likes to run, they like being couch potatoes too.
A friend of mine had a retired racing greyhound (there's Greyhound rescue really near us) and she was very lazy. Loved nothing more than lying on the settee in the conservatory and it was really difficult to get her out for walks some days because she just wanted to lie there. Ha ha

It hit me where they came from. Thousands of Greyhounds across the world (inc Galgos/Spain) are discarded or worse, after they no longer serve their purpose i.e. win races or hunt. These 2 are actually the lucky ones. How they turned out to have beautiful nature's and still love people says so much about dogs.

I’m glad we don’t have to stifle our tears on this side of the vids.
So happy to see them being able to run free- even for a little while. Yet so sad to know that people have discarded and disappointed them. I pray people would realize that taking on the responsibility of a pet is for life. They are not shoes-they are not disposable! They love us and we need to love them and care for them to the best of our abilities! My pets are the sun, moon and stars to me- I brought them to my home to live and come what may- they will remain with me always. We are family. Thank you Luke, Sam, Jason, Dee and staff for caring and loving these homeless pets until they find their true families. God bless you all.
Stormi19. I know, right? Impossible to understand unless circumstances are very dire. These really are two beautiful sweet boys...so very emotional watching them run free. They're former racing dogs and racing dogs are discarded and killed when their career ends. Thank goodness for the greyhound rescues.

Greyhounds are such fantastic dogs. My experience with them has been they need a daily long run...not long walks. They usually do not have separation anxiety, and have a calm and sweet nature about them. They are not barkers, and love meeting and being with people. Including children.

Dumping greyhounds in the US after their racing career was a major problem in the US as well 😔. I think it’s getting better here though 🤷🏻♀️. Such GORGEOUS, majestic creatures. Lovely dogs and great pets. Wonderful you guys are highlighting these love bugs up for adoption 🥰

I filled up at this one, seeing them so happy was joyous. What a pair of stunners! ..beautiful natures, cat tested, AND totally chilled swimmers! What a package - how lucky their new parents will be?! I have a long-legged lovely too sat with me right now. The only body of water he's braved is ankle deep at the beach. Maybe Aussy greyhounds have it in their genes. They'll be surfing next : )

Absolutely stunning pups! My neighbour adopted the “poster girl” for greyhound dogs when retired dogs were being abandoned etc here, and she’s such a beauty, and has turned my neighbour’s life around after losing her husband. Such sweet dogs, all they want is some love🥰🥰🥰

Tim and Brax are both gorgeous dogs and it's so sad (and infuriating!) that they were used to provide profit for owners who then abandoned them. I hope they find homes very soon. I worked in greyhound rescue over earlier years. I sincerely have experienced the rescue breed wonderful all around pets! I had three adopted rescues and the 3rd was a foster that was adopted by us and we just couldn’t let go of him and never left my home. What a beautiful day out these dogs have had and hopefully someone out there has fallen in love with them like us all who live too far away. Sometimes I think thank goodness that they are in the shelter and away from those who never wanted them and at least now they have the BEST chance to find the beautiful loving home they deserve. At least they are able to get a day away from the shelter and the exposure so that more people get to see them. It also enables potential adopters to get a better sense of who the dog is away from the shelter.

How can people just toss them away when they don’t race anymore?! It makes me so angry and sad. They are not just a piece of property. They are such beautiful boys. @@lorelleblackwell8556 Probably why I don’t condone dog racing, horse racing, or any use of animals in sports, circuses, etc. People who can just kill an animal when it is no longer useful to them are monsters.
@@doglover1128 I was born and raised in FL, before dog racing was a "sport" here, and just recently moved back. But, I've kept up with the 'business' and the horrific practices by some of the vile people involved and it's often horrific. While some owners aren't part of the problem they sometimes unknowingly employ people who are, or they simple turn a blind eye and pretend not to know. I met some to the rescued racing hounds through a rescue group in SC and almost all of them were wonderful pets. One lady said it took her dog way over a year to realize he could now sit without being abused for doing so. (They didn't want them to be sitting when the gate opens at a race!) She said the first time he sat she praised him profusely, and then cried.
I have a retired racer greyhound aswell. He was much beloved by his breeder/trainer family. He is a happy confident quirky fascinating dog. I've had many rescue dogs over my life. This greyhound has been loved and cared for. I can't say that for most of the rescue dogs I've had.
GAP, associated with the racing industry, does a wonderful job matching retiring dogs and finding them forever homes. The trainer/owner retiring them does also contribute financially in this scheme. The fellow who retired my gorgeous boy came to deliver him and we keep in contact. There are bad apples in all fields and walks of life. Please don't demonise greyhound racing trainers and breeders. If it weren't for retiring greyhounds I would not have my wonderful greyhound. Looking for a dog? Please adopt a greyhound.

They are such beautiful, graceful dogs with blazing speed. I often see owners proudly walking their Greyhounds on the Coast (NW U.S.A.). They tell me they make wonderful pets.

Both these boys are stunning, full of character and up for anything. It was wonderful to see them running free because THEY just wanted to run. Either of these guys would be a big bonus to any Family.
Suddenly the big paddock looks small with the amount of ground the Greyhounds cover in a flash. I can't get enough of watching these two, they are gorgeous.
Beyond stunning, there are beautiful dogs. Love to watch them tear across the paddock, poetry in motion. Maybe someone with a good piece of property will step up and take them both. How can it not be a good life with these beauties in it.

Well the 2nd video seeing them run free,teared me up again. Greyhound racing needs to be illegal. Many states here in the US have stopped it.
They are beautiful boys who need their own home. 🙏 for them soon.

@kp8381 Why should greyhound racing be illegal? Greyhounds love to race. It's a game for them. The tracks are safer for them to run on than open fields or their own back yards. They get the best care to be able to race. They love their lives doing what they love to do. To deny them of racing is cruel.
This is what I love, when a dog or two are just enjoying life. These two are a great example, the other is Princess Red and miss Violet.
