    Ingredients
    1 yellow onion
    3-4 lbs Corned Beef Brisket
    5-6 cups water
    1 lb baby carrots
    1 lb baby potatoes
    1 cabbage head
    Horseradish Mayo
    1 tbsp horseradish
    1/2 cup mayo
    Instructions
1️⃣Slice onions and place on the bottom of the slow cooker. Add corned beef brisket on top. Add enough water almost to cover the brisket. Cook on low for 10 hours.

2️⃣3-4 hours into cooking, add the potatoes and carrots. Flip over brisket at this time as well.

3️⃣Eight hours into cooking (2 hours before finishing), add the cabbage cut into 8-12 pieces. You may need to scoop out some water to get it to fit.
4️⃣Make sauce for the meal by combining the horseradish and mayo and serve. It’s done when it easily shreds apart with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 155F. (It will likely be much hotter than that, though, when it’s done.)

At almost 12$/lb at my local grocer and closer to 15/lb at the local butcher, i might be skipping the corned beef this year.

OMG! That's so much for brisket, which isn't even that exciting cut of meat! I think Trader Joe's was a little better pricing than that.

@@HungryHobby Its where i live, the cost of meat is crazy here, because of supply issues.
boneless chicken breast is almost 6/lb and chicken thighs run anywhere from 4.99/lb to 7.99 depending on if its 'regular' or Steroid free.

I wash my corned beef off because it's always slimy coming out the package.

That slime is kind of gross, but like other commenters have mentioned it is part of the brine. Washing it will reduce sodium content but also may reduce flavor!

What seasoning do u use to make it ur recipe to me that's just a generic way of making corned beef n cabbage in a crockpot

I agree, it's just generic, but I'm sharing because not everyone knows! I don't have any desire to make my corned beef from scratch ha ha as in use my own seasonings and cure it myself.

The way she did it is the traditional way. Generic would be canned corned beef 😅

Crock pot is my jam 🤗 Washed vs not washed corned beef seems to be a thing I've seen lately so here's what I can share about it. I don't wash it bc that gookie gelatinous salty brine it comes in helps flavor your water. I try to use beef stock instead of water, preferably but when water is all u have, I don't wash the meat 😊

I don't wash mine either for the same reason! I used water because it's already so salty! I did add the stock option on the full recipe on my blog, i suggested unsalted beef stock since the brine makes it already so salty.
