That is right. But why there are so many art educational videos out there? If you can avoid some mistake and make the process much easier and more enjoyable why wouldn't you?

You should check out that one artist’s video of him painting a denim jacket, he drew a star wars character, but he only used acrylic paint, and said that he didn’t bother to do any research on how to do it properly.

I use it in many of my videos. For example video about minimalist art (one of the latest ones). You can watch it I show there.
Research is important. Me: hmm ,,fabric paint,, I guess this is what I need to use on fabric. Yeah, it did work with shoes, shirts, and tomorrow denim jacket is on the menu 🍽️
Hey, thanks for the videos have been really helpful! I have a question, can I paint on top of an already painted fabric? I painted over my jeans, but I didn't like and I want to cover with something else. Or should I paint on a different piece of fabric and sew it like a patch? Lots of love 💜
You know it depends on artwork you already have on your jeans. If its painted with not much paint , like 1 layer and something graphic- yes you can cover it up with other artwork. But if you already used much paint and will put even more on top of it, your artwork will become so stiff (and stiffness will turn into cracks after a couple of washings). So yeah handpainted patch will be the best option.

Sometimes stickiness happens . Especially if you used a bit too much paint. But after washing it disappears. So wash your jacket :)

Where did you see a negativity in the video? I am educating people on how easily you can customize your clothes and giving some very helpful tips. And seeing other's mistakes helps beginners to understand right technique.That was a purpose of this video.

Daria I have one question, please. Id like to paint my first jacket and Id like to use thermotransfer pencil (u draw contours of the picture on the baking paper and then you iron it (transfer it) on the fabric). If I have a dark jacket I will paint the white base and then Id like to "iron" (transfer) the pic on the white base. And the question is: Is it okay if the white base is ironed and after that I paint with further colours? Or should it be only dried? Btw. I am your big fan!
Yes you can iron.sometimes when I don't want to wait I dry base layer with hairdryer, it pretty much the same as ironing (you can set paints with hairdryer too), and then I apply other colors and I never had any problems)

I don’t think I knew art had so many rules Kind of takes the fun out of it. Pretty mean spirited video.
