It's a wonderful thing when a career and a passion come together. Our friend Kayleen McCabe shares her story. Follow Kayleen on Facebook: / kayleenmccabe
Good message! Our country cannot survive with generations of people creating video games or sitting in front of a computer screen or cell phone giving the world a minute by minute view of their lives. You have a great story and I hope it inspires young people everywhere.
I KNOW THE FEELING! When your working on a project, it's like time doesn't exist, your loving it so much! I can't wait until I can have my own home shop again, even though I'm 75, the passion is still there!
Lost in college obtaining knowledge without aim is the story of my life. I had many degrees and no passion. It was only remembering what my grandfather taught me when I was 5 did I realize what God created me to do. Today I am a GC although I will always be the carpenter that my grandpa taught me to be. Yes, the "Trades" are a very good place to be. Thank you for your inspiring story. I hope it finds many ears.
I needed your advice 55 years ago. I fell into the trap of following the "college prep" track in high school. It took me decades to wise up. Young people ought to go to a school that has shops - wood, auto, metal. You can learn history from books, which you can buy or borrow from a library, but can you buy or borrow a shop?
Very inspiring. I try to teach my kids the little I know about everything. I hope they will grow up to find their passion in a good trade or at least use it as a hobby. Thank you for sharing.
This is the most inspiring video I have seen on working in the trades and I enjoyed it even more because it empowers young ladies to join the trades !!
She’s an inspiration for women and men of all ages. I wish someone had told me the same thing when I was in high school. That I could have as a woman, I too could have a career as a wood worker. But it’s never too late.
awesome job, I learned also watching other people do small projects n I got the hang on this n I love working with wood. I did not take classes on this, I watch videos also to learn more. like u said, the sky is the limit. u really inspire me. keep up the good work.

Thank you for sharing your story. It is obvious to me that you have a lot of passion for what you do. We all need that kind of passion for what we do.
I've thought about it, but have been to scared to try it. All the signs keep coming at me, thanks for the motivation.
