    We have been thinking of heading to Louisiana or Mississippi this spring. Nice to know is a nation Forrest we can stay at. Look nice. About 15 years ago near us a tornado dipped down into a valley and killed some people in Utica Illinois. So beware. Can’t wait to see your videos of Quartzite. I really appreciate your honest reviews of campgrounds and your videos are great to watch on a cold winter day!

      Thanks, Nancy the trip out was definitely a lot of fun. This is one of those trips where I think the destination was more hype than it played out to be.

    Thank you so much for taking us along on this adventure to Quartzite! Must take a lot of planning and research to find such nice places to camp along the way. As always, wishing you and Akela Safe Travels.

    Really nice campground. Not sure when you recorded this but I hope you missed that bad winter storm in the great white south. Now that Slim's on hiatus, maybe you'll get some of his viewers attention and boost up your subscriber list. You deserve it!

    FYI tornado's are capable of traveling into a valley or holler as some call it. I saw evidence of a tornado follow along the ridge of the Clinch River in Clinton,TN and then dropped into the river bed to cross to the other side. I'm not an expert of tornadic activity but I've experienced my fair share of them growing up in the Midwest. They are extremely unpredictable and will surprise you every time!!

    Last July, I was at Balsam Pond (between Cazenovia and Norwich) I got a tornado warning on my phone and I didn’t even have a signal. It went over head and came down in the village of Canastota, New York. Not fun!!

    • @GoingNoWhereFast
      @GoingNoWhereFast  7 днів тому

      Ya. They can push out a signal to the far reaches if they want too

    I enjoy deer hunting the traditional way, sitting in a tree stand. Not in favor of using dogs. Rabbit hunting, yes. The journey west has begun!

      Ya. Dogs are an unfair advantage in hunting. My opinion and the ny state wildlife opinion. Though I dont think baiting is too terrible. Seen msny a deer enjoying s nice meal of “ pine tree apples” placed there by a eager hunter. I guess that would make them pineapples.

    Here in PA, we shoot dogs that chase deer. We don't play dat. The state park roads in PA are in the same poor shape as that campground. Thanks for your video!
