Fun fact: blackberry 10 os is not based on android but on their own operating system called QNX. They just added a compatibility layer based on aosp to allow installation of android apks alongside their own bar files afaik. It's a shame the latest version supported is android 4.3 since they probbably had to stop updating that component when they came out with android phones.
The moment your screen cracks and your battery has aged normally after 2 years you start to wonder if it's worthy to upgrade. It's sad. Typed using a USB mouse on my 6a
after my s10 broke (the repair costs more than the phone itself :/ ) im genuinely considering using a dumbphone as my main (due to affordability and repairability)
It's near impossible because of all the locked in smartphone only apps we're attached to now. I wouldn't be able to use WhatsApp, for example. Real bummer. Good luck if you manage to make the change!
slight correction, the phone has micro-hdmi not mini, yes there are 3 different connectors for hdmi (4 counting usb C alt mode) and yes it does indeed suck if you have devices that use all 3
Great video. My only nitpik is AMOLEDs have been popular way before 2020, Lumia 950, S2, S Tab, One Plus 3, a fair chunk of higher end phones. Again minor nitpik not a big deal good video.
I vastly prefer physical keyboards on my phone and wish they'd bring it back. My last phone before i got a touchscreen phone was a Samsung Intensity II and the only reason I ended up getting an iphone was because I was in high school and still on my parents plan and verizon was charging us more for not having a a touch screen phone :/. That said, 10 years later, I still prefer it over constantly missing the correct key on a touch screen whether it's ios or android.
Samsung Galaxy S2 (back in 2011) and I think every Samsung flagship after it had Amoled screens... Although I wouldn't call an S2 to be a flagship because it was so affordable at the time.
While I like that idea, I'm not sure I agree. How many iPhones do you think actually get re-used in another country after being thrown in the rubbish? And how many are unusable without significant rebuilding after 2-5 years of use regardless of the country?
Nah, Apple is doing everything in their power to make sure their phones get thrown away after they break or just age. Software updates for years to come aren't that important if the battery is too old to get you through a day and the device is designed to be unrepairable
@@timo0947 They’re the longest lasting in the industry. I know people who have been using an iPad 2 everyday as an e-reader for 13 years. I also must say that an iPhone that’s never been opened or repaired will easily last 5 years with no need of battery replacements. The problem is people trash their phones and then get awful repairs which then lead to more problems and a crappy iPhone. I’d say you can easily live with an iPhone 6s even today, but only if it’s still completely OEM
Hello there WOYS guy, my name is Johnny and I'm a freelance logo designer, currently I'm looking for more works, would you love to have a logo redesign for your channel's branding to have a more memorable graphical based monogram logo to help your audience recognise and remember you easier and longer? I would love to craft it for you and let me know if you interested to make it happen! :-)
Hey Johnny. Thanks for reaching out. I'm happy with my own graphics work right now, as the channel's still small, but growing at a steady rate. I'll certainly consider you my first port of call if that changes. Best, Monte
Hi Monte, nice to meet you, I see, I have a logo idea for you, it's fun and quirky, it's going to drive your audience rate higher and motivate you to make more videos too, I'm ready to make it and show it to you, just let me know as soon as possible so we don't forget each other and end up the idea gone and you went for someone won't come out that idea!

That's both interesting and pretty cool. Thanks for the explanation!

@@chriswright8074 2017, actually. I'm talking about the majority of iPhones, though. Not just the super expensive models.
i still use one as a burner phone with my alt sim and as music player cuz the dac is quite remarkable
Hadn't thought to test that out. Cool! How do you transfer files?

lol you post this right after I just got REALLY into looking at these old berries… but we can’t use them on US cell towers anymore ):
Bummer!
You should remove the battery so that it doesn't expand
Good advice! Thanks.

i’d call it so. prices just have constantly risen…
Honestly didn't think about the Galaxy devices enough making this video. True about the AMOLED!
I wouldn’t say an iPhone is a disposable item, they have a lifespan of about 15 years. In third world countries there’s still people using iPhone 4’s
