Please give yourself as much grace rn as possible. It's just makeup, after all, it's supposed to be fun. And Two Faced shadows are notoriously difficult to pan. It's okay if this year isn't as successful for PTP as past years. You've had some amazing panning wins in the past but just like life, panning ebbs and flows. I'm rooting for you!

Don’t feel bad. Change the palette. Pick a small one or only work half of the shades. Do whatever works best for you now. Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you have to do it every year.
thank you- and you're right. I'm way to hard on myself and definitely feel like a "failure" if I don't hit the goal I set for myself at the beginning of the year. But if there was a year to bend the rules and be easier on myself- it would be this year! 🤍

I have found those Two Faced panned pallets extremely hard to use. I even got rid of my chocolate bar palette because I felt like no shadow was even getting on my brush, they were so hard pressed and almost like hard panned, I had to literally scrape away at the shadows to get anything. Plus you've had a really hard year. It's only makeup and should be fun, not a cause of stress. We don't love you any less for not accomplishing your goal, if anything we love you more for being REAL and open with us. This is life and all those feelings are okay! Ps it is also good to cry if you feel like it, I like to think of it as a release, a cleansing of all that old energy you've been holding on to, it will help and doesn't make you any less strong 😊
Wow that is so interesting- I haven't heard that about Too Faced shadows, and this palette while new to me, is at least a few years old already. That is such a good point- thank you so much for being so sweet, kind and supportive! xoxo 🤍
Girl you did better than I would have! Just remember (as Angie said) it's literally just dirt. Colorful dirt that we put on our bodies.
Your feelings of overwhelm are completely valid though. Just try to remember most people out here are pretty decent and aren't going to hate you for not using enough dirt on your face. 😘

Every year you show up with a more challenging palette. With bigger goals. And you crush them.
But that's not why I watch you. Or any panner for that matter. I like just sitting down, watching your progress, and seeing you do your best. Even if your best looks different from month to month. Year to year.

If you were my husband, or one of my kids, or one of my friends, and you came to me with energy, i would give you a really big hug, make you some coffee/tea and a snack, and tell you to give yourself some compassion.
Some thoughts:
1. I personally don’t come to your channel for “results” or an end “product”. I like your vibes, i like your energy and honesty, and i enjoy your chatter. Bonus points for Rex content. To be completely truthful, i gave up project panning long ago (though i still watch your panning content for the above reasons) because i felt such pressure to achieve the next pan that makeup became not only not-fun, but i started really getting down on myself, just like you’re doing. I realized that if i was using my makeup *at all*, i was getting use out of it. Using up one product completely wasn’t any better use of the money i spent than using all of my products. I’m going to use the same amount of eyeshadow or blush or foundation or whatever, whether it was one product or distributed over ten different ones.
2. The person who helps me with housekeeping came over a few weeks ago and was in a very rough state. They are dealing with a lot right now and felt spread really thinly. I told them to nevermind the upstairs bathroom or the kitchen floor. They needed a couple hours to sit down with an ice water and just talk. I was happy to give them space and time to just breathe. And this is a person to whom i pay for a service! Needless to say, you are providing a service to us for free. Never hesitate to take a moment to breathe. We will be here. 🖤

I completely understand what you mean about the pressure of project panning. It's so easy to get caught up in the end goal and forget to enjoy the process (like me right now lol)

Hun take it from somebody who has gone through IT. Your make up should be your release, your fun little moment of the day where you are kind to yourself. Not a place where you beat yourself up for not being productive enough. You’re doing awesome, the fact you find time to put makeup on and film is amazing. Don’t be sad/hard on yourself just bc your pan that Palette project isn’t as you have planned. It‘s just makeup and there are more important things to life ❤ also too faced shadows are very hard to pan/use up and this is a brand new palette. It took me multiple monthd to hit a tiny pan (matte shade) in my TF born this way Palette

I'm so sorry that the year has been so rough. As a super long term subscriber, l am here because l enjoy your videos regardless of the content. Each year you seemed to up the stakes on your PTP so it's only natural that eventually it wasn't going to happen as planned. You are no failure to me (and l'm sure every other subscriber), and all we want is for you to feel better and find your own balance.

The only person disappointed in you- is you. You are a human, not a machine. We weren’t built to be constantly productive with no down time. Please remember that we come to see you because we love you, not how much makeup you can plow through in a short amount of time. As long as you turn that camera on and be yourself, we’ll be here.
