I actully mix eyeshadows together to get my preferred shade. if you are truly in need of that shade and do not want to buy more then you can try taking perhaps layering first to see if the contenders make a viable shade match. if they do then you can take a quarter of the shade out and mix to get the right proportions. you can then pot them in a magnetic pan.
I do this too! I havent bene able to dupe the Norvina Rose Gold or Amrezy Barb shades. I have over a 1000 eyeshadows but nothing comes close to barb not even multichromes. Rose gold is just slightly more pink and my other are all just slightly off, but I can mix some of them to get it closer.
I need to do this for my favorite eyeshadow ever, it's Pewter from the Lorac Pro palette. I've gotten pretty close but not this close 😢
Yay for the dupes video 🎉 I expected you to have a few similar shades with how large your collection is but wow a couple are so close! I liked the zodiac and one of the ND shades. Now to try laying the base shades the same on both eyes and using luscious on one and a dupe on the other. I would not suggest saving luscious because I've had favorite shades dull or just not perform as well over the years and it's sad that I didn't use them every chance I had.
Oooo you're so right- I would be so gutted if I saved a favorite shade for so long only for it to deterioriate after so long!!!
I did this with a discontinued pink shadow but couldn’t find an exact dupe. Layering got me the closest. Maybe I’ll retry swatching. That’s a very pretty shade, it reminds me of the wetnwild comfort zone palette. The first Nd seemed the closest to me 🤔
