We make the same basic thing except we sub in Bowtie pasta. Cook the pasta first, mix it all up and toss in the brisket, ham, you name it.
Since there's only 3 of us, we split it up, freeze and have it for "Easy Peasy Suppers".
Great for stormy days or just whwn you want to be lazy

Have you used the kingsford cumin chili pellets? They are on clearance from Menards for $5 for a 20# bag. I like em, but dont have the experience to know the difference really. I mix them 50/50 with kingsford charcoal pellets. But, the smell off the cumin pellets prior to smoking is amazing
