Thanks! As good as any MIM Strat, that's for sure.

I’ve always wondered how to decipher what pickup resistance is and what it shows. Is that just how hot it is or is there more to it than that? I’m shopping for a loaded pickguard for a partscaster, and all the ones I’m seeing have the resistance ratings listed in the listing info, I just don’t know what to look for in picking which may be better suited for this guitar

DC resistance is an indicator of the hotness of the pickup. It’s not a perfect measure but is an easy and common measurement. Single coil Strat pickups are historically in the mid 5K to low 6K range. Hotter pickups or ones with higher resistance will typically overdrive more quickly and be louder. That is somewhat dependent on the magnet type and wire used, but generally a higher resistance means more copper windings and greater output. Greater output generally means less bright. If you play jazz or mellow blues, go lower resistance, but if you play rock or distorted blues, you should go hotter. If you play metal and look at really hot humbuckers, you will see very high resistances listed.

@@hacksguitarhobby thank you for clarifying. That makes a lot of sense now. I’ve been seeing it on all these pickups wondering “ok, what does it mean?” lol I have a better understanding now 🙏🙏
