The AD should be the one who makes a decision. That's the problem with UNC. It's their leadership structure ADs are supposed to be the ones who make the decisions on the sports side of everything. Get out of the way and let the AD hire the coach.
This will turn out to be such a D-UNC-E move by Carolina. Will they have to sell Kenan Stadium and the Old Well just to be able to pay Belichick and his staff for one year? How long are they stuck with Stephen Belichick after Bill bails after one year once he marries somebody that could easily be his granddaughter? The "vision" that Belichick has says nothing about players getting a college degree that will support them for a lifetime (99% of the players don't make the NFL) and just converting high school boys into young men of character. I don't know why the parent of a top recruit would want to send their son to a 4-year NFL combine rather than getting a quality college education (such as that offered at NC State, Duke and Wake Forest). Fans of other teams are more worried about UNC taking a quality coach like Steve Wilks than a 72-year old with zero college football coaching experience. And one more thing, WRAL sports staff, the greatest NFL coach of all time is VINCE LOMBARDI with 7 NFL championships, more than Belichick. That's why the teams play every year for the Lombardi Trophy. Duh.
Belichick has said a big component is the education aspect to set athletes up for success following their career. Also not sure if this is how you meant it, but it sounds like you are saying UNC isnt a quality education, and if that is what you are saying is not only wrong, but one of the most hilarious things I could have read given rankings of UNC vs NCSU
@@CB8151 No, you are trying to create a narrative. I said the vision given of the Bill Belichick NFL Skills Program would not focus on a quality education. Belichick didn't say anything about education on the McAfee Show. As far as the school rankings, we all know those are a joke. Engineers from NC State make 3 times the salary of almost any major at UNC. THAT IS WHY UNC WANTS TO START AN ENGINEERING PROGRAM, which is another joke. UNC has many excellent folks at their hospital complex, but as far as salary, they make A LOT less than an engineer, sadly, for them. It's all about the STEM majors - quit kidding yourself.
Well they can't sell those democrat statutes they tore down. Blawwwww. Face it Bunting, Fedora and Mck Brown twice ain't walking through that door. All of college wanted NIL. Then time to pay up or get left behind
@@zachmorello6592 Aerospace engineers from NCSU pulling in $200K within a few years after graduation. UNC is full of legacy kids majoring in art history who will never make more than $50K. THAT'S WHY UNC IS TRYING TO START AN ENGINEERING PROGRAM. Comparing a STEM school like NCSU to a liberal arts school like UNC is laughable. You should retire your fingers.

College ball has become like pro ball. Why not a pro coach? UNC could have the best team money can buy.
7 figures for a college player is crazy.
The $12 million offered to Belichick is 8 figures. Mack Brown's $5 million salary is a lowly 7 figures.
Big keys is BB wants his Son’s on his Staff and eventually they take over for him down the Road ..
Ir will Cost UNC $10 Million + to occur
Yes BB Will Accept as he’s getting no interest from NFL Teams at this time
Yes the next coac unc
Hell. UNC had no choice. Everyone else on their want list had no interest
