- In ancient times, the Arbiter was a position of unmatched power and authority, wielded by those who had proven their worth in combat and to whom was granted the weighty responsibility of governing their people. Within the Covenant, the role of the Arbiter was twisted by the San'Shyuum, who would bestow the title upon Sangheili warriors seeking redemption.

Can’t wait to see Sangheili vs Helioskril fan art in the future!
We are so lucky that our rich halo universe has such wonderful terminals for expanded lore accessible in game, wish infinite had more instead of lazy audiologs and a paragraph for hvt
Anyway thanks for the great video and narration
8:31 o my god......my favorite story of halo!
Tragic but epic
Awesome overview of the history of the Arbiter’s. The position of Arbiter has always been a interest to me really, since I find the to be more in part of a warrior culture. Politics isn’t nor ever has been a simple role to partake. As there are many sophistications as becoming a leader of the Sangheili, in a age where the feudal system isn’t entirely the best system currently as oppose to having a more modern form of government. Especially when it comes with dealing with the humans since tbh Sangheili being open to trade with the humans and opening up channels for them is highly beneficial for both species. Except prove to be difficult to accomplish as I understand they still have bad blood with the humans due to the Covenant war and that of Oni since Arbiter is very well aware of Oni’s meddling.
Missed these Elite stories
I love the video as a whole but dislike the section of Ripa 'Moramee, I think it's a bit harsh to call him a disgrace to all sangheili when his only flaw was his extreme arrogance. Other than that he was a incredible warrior and strategist which are positive traits. Don't think I need to go into detail as to why.
True, but seeing as the whole thing is that Ripa was a savage and dishonorable Sangheili and seeing as Nakai is all about honor, it would make sense why he would view Ripa in a negative way
@@covenantcanon7970 A negative way yes (As does Zaro) but I don't know i still think disgrace to all sangheili is harsh all things considered. Not trying to change the way you think btw just saying what I think.
Fair enough lol
Actually I did some research: ‘Moramee’s appointment as Arbiter was controversial within the Covenant as many didn’t care for Ripa’s tactics
@@covenantcanon7970 Never heard of that before.
343 are really missing opportunity's with elites. there's is so much they could do with them
One thing about the profits that infuriated me is they took the Sangheili title of Arbiter and made it a shameful status when it was once a mark of Honor and you can learn more about that just from playing Halo 2 when we first learn about the Arbiter in Halo 2 and he's kneeling down in the mausoleum of the Arbiters he says I am not worthy to even be in their presence it's cuz to him the Arbiters are not a shameful title of arbiter isn't shameful to him it was the highest honor and he brought it back to being the highest honor if you think about it the prophets destroyed the honor of the Arbiter title and they got what they deserved for it
I really like your style of presentation, it's straight-up in-universe style for extra immersion
How come there wasn't any Flood infected Arbiters in Halo 3 ?
I know right crazy
@@Nolongerhereanymore Not only that- but originally there were grunts and hunters fighting alongside the elites but they disappeared by the time of Halo 3.
It would cause confusion or something
But if you had mod tools for the mcc PC version you could probably add grunts and hunters as allies
But you may have to add a color to them to identify friend from foe
@@Nolongerhereanymore With all due respect my friend but that's just A stupid reason for removing the grunts and hunters from the side of the elites. If you get confuse that's on you is what the writers and company should have told the people.
@@Nolongerhereanymore they could’ve provided different armor colored for the Unggoy and Lekgolo like they did in ODST, and Halo 5 for the Sangheili
I'm hopeful we'll get an Arbiter DLC, to see the banished vs the swords of sangheilios would be awesome.
my question is how did something that was once a position of honor and something so treasured in Covenant's history
become a position of shame
Thel ‘Vadam my favorite character
I like the immersion you did for this video
I am a monument of all your sins
Kill or release me parasite but do not waste my time with talk.
Now that humans are said to have their own Banished clans like the Order of Harmony, will you remake the "Killers and Mercenaries of the Banished" video?
Eventually, probably
Ooh! This is so good!
Was there any lesser prophets on board the forerunner ship Truth escaped in Halo 2 ?
Lesser? No, but a Prelate was; Dhas Bhasvod
