Date night tonight and I couldn’t decide between Profumo or Prada Lhomme Intense. Chose Prada, but will wear Profumo tomorrow. Absolutely beautiful scent.
Just tried a bunch of colognes at Ulta. This one is magnificent. Definitely the best one I smelled at Ulta. Looks like I'll be shelling out about $100 to get it. BTW, you are so spot on 👍
Thank you for this review. You nailed it in my opinion. Since Profumo came out, it has become one of my most favorite designer scents next to Prada L'homme and D&G Pour Homme. A few months ago I bought Profondo and I enjoy it a lot also, but not as much as Profumo. Profumo is indeed a Swiss army knive amongst the scents.
What I like about it is when I use the original Gio in the morning and I find I'm going out that night, it layers perfectly over the original. Lots of notice with this stuff.
I've got 3 bottle of Profumo 2021 batch (75ml with magnetic cap). It performs great for me. 2h strong projection, 8h of 1feet projection. Compliments from colleagues, family, and fiancé.
Great review! This is one I wasn’t super crazy about when I first got it, but now am a big fan of it. Like you said it is a true signature scent worthy fragrance
I just received my bottle of acqua di gio profumo yesterday and have not sprayed it yet. I will say my bottle has the magnetic cap and I purchased from their website. Not sure what the talk is about the cap being different. Now the cap on profondo which I have also..clicks in place. Either way excellent review and amazing scent!!
The Profumo click cap is terrible. The worst cap in my collection. I can't pick it up by the cap at all, if I tilt it even slightly the bottle falls. You'd think Armani would do a better job with it.

I have a 2021 bottle and it has the magnetic cap..! I find that it projects for around an hour, and then fades down into a skin scent, but it lasts 24 hrs as a skin scent....
It reminds me of the original when my father wore it back in the 90's. Has been horribly reformulated since. Luckily Profumo was created to take it's place. It's so perfect and gorgeous. Absolutely just the perfect men's elegant masculine masterpiece. Right up there with Aventus and Terre D'Hermes. My husband has a January 2015 bottle that last forever, but has also purchased a more recent bottle that still has great performance.
I got a bottle of this middle of last year, and finally broke it out last month. Was super impressed with how good it was, and definitely my favourite that I've smelled in the line. I got my hands on an unopened bottle of Essenza last month, so I'm looking forward to breaking open next time I have a day out, lol.

The new bottle is still beast, it comes with a magnetic cap too, the difference is just the Printing it's not shiny anymore and the "Profumo" logo is a bit bigger.

I’m going to be completely honest here. I’m 41 and have never owned or sprayed Acqua Di Gio on my skin. Not a hate thing, just an “everyone that I knew wore it” type thing and I always tried to be different. That being said Mania was my favorite Armani fragrance. I just got a tester sent to me today for the original Acqua Di Gio and plan to wear it tomorrow. Profumo is something that I will be trying next
Man lately i have tried to sample fragrances off of ebay and have not gotten what i thought i was getting. Recently tried Burberry Touch for Men from there and literally knew it was not the right fragrance. Smelled like bad women perfume for a 80 year old lady. Wasted so much money on that route i am not going there anymore. I want to try this and probably will just go to Ulta and give it a squirt. Problem is i like to test drive it for a few days not just an afternoon.
I only have a 2.5oz of this one. I wish I would have found this one before it got discontinued so i could have gotten a big bottle. I'm not going to pay the ridiculous prices out there now. Parfum doesn't really have that same incensey note that makes this one truly unique.
The perfect "Classy Grown Ass Man" fragrance. You'll never be out of place, wearing this and it smells amazing. Blue De Chanel is my #1, and this would be my 1A.
Now that there's talk of discontinuing this one, I just picked up a bottle. It does still have a magnetic top. Also, the lettering isn't reflective, now it's metallic grey, but the juice is what counts. Granted, I never owned the earlier batches, mine is a 2021 batch, and I get about 7-8 hours. So, I'm happy. I'm glad I waited. I like it, but not love. I own it for historical purposes.
Bro i just got one and while it does have a magnetic cap, the lettering for me is plain white greyish. The scent is very good though, do you think its original? though i bought it from a reputable local store
@@6431arshad yeah, that sounds no different than my bottle. My batch code is from 06/21.. which is awesome, because my birthday is June 21st. I'm waiting until we get some warmer weather before I make my full impression. So far, there's a dewey/mildewy note I'm not overly in love with, but perhaps in the heat, the air around me will blend better and give a better representation of what it should smell like in the warmer situations it was intended for. But so far, overall, I'd easily say 8.5. If it smells as good as I hope it does in the Spring, it'll probably be a 9. Guess we'll see.

I was in Los Angeles last month and stopped to a gas station and the clerk had a bottle of Profumo in his hand I asked him what are you doing with that he said I’m trying to sell it I bought the 6.8 ounce bottle from him for 50 bucks and I got to say it is an amazing scent I never smelt it before but now it’s in my rotation every week.
Unfortunately, Profumo does not seem to last on my skin. I have the old magnetic bottle, so I don't know if it's the batch, the dry weather, or my skin chemistry, but I swear this disappears after two hours even after high heat. The scent has also started to give me a headache recently and I'm not sure why, or what changed for me. At this point, I reach for Profondo or Absolu long before this one. Great thoughts though - always appreciate your vids
Scent itself is 10/10 one of the best out there for fresh fragrances. Performance is terrible I have a batch 03/2021 it projects in the first hour and then it becomes a skin scent for the next few hours and that's that. Huge disappointment, such a great smell and no projection ... No wonder they discontinued it.
Profumo my favorite by far of this line. Anytime. Anywhere. Perfect. Edt my second favorite cause of price & profundo is sour to me. I like chrome extreme better. Profumo my favorite freshie with backbone.
I actually got mine magnetic when I graduated a month ago!!! Wow! I didn't know they aren't magnetic anymore! I thought they weren't magnetic for anything less then 125 ml
@@TLTGReviews I think they might still be magnetic. I got mine a month ago from a Bloomingdale's so it might just be magnetic caps are for full size and up. Both my 2021 batch 75ml bottles have magnetic caps. No idea why people are saying they have clip on tops, as far as I'm aware it's just the small 40ml bottles that aren't magnetic
Very nice fragrance. I only got a small bottle and I don't really wear it all that much, but when I do I'm like "Yeah... That's good" 👍 One thing I will say though is that (since you speak about the cap) it has the worst cap in my collection. I have the click one and it just doesn't stay in place at all. Plus the bottle doesn't have the reflective bottom, it's just black glass like the rest of the bottle.
Actually I've just noticed mine has white text on instead of reflective too, and just a sticker on the bottom with the batch code etc. Maybe this is just because it's the small 40ml bottle? It's from a reputable department store here in the UK (John Lewis) so it's definitely genuine.
I just recently purchased mine from macys and it has the silver bottom, mag cap, but no silver lettering. I’m happy it has 2/3 which made this bottle unique.
i’ve tried smelling this on multiple occasions and at multiple department stores and they all perform the same for me :(. i’m really trying to love it. my gf loves the smell of it but i can’t smell it as good as other people can. is it not a strong smell? i almost get a CK one smell from it. soft and light but it sounds like a strong scent. i really do wanna buy this but can’t smell what others do :(
Ross have you try profondo light i got a sample from when i purchase this bottle. Light is good i think the performance it is good. My opinion is i think is little better the this frangace
I was only able to get a 50 ml of this one as a gift last Christmas. I wear it sparingly as it is hard to find and expensive. It’s a very, very good fragrance and lasts on my skin forever it seems. I have a 2021 batch. It projects well in the first hour or so, but I wouldn’t call it a beast. It does last more than eight hours on my skin. I chose it for the incense and patchouli dry down. The OG didn’t move me.

I am going to Egypt soon on vacation.. and I would like to wear a scent during the hotter months or even very hot summer days… I want a scent that feels fresh and not harsh, manly but not over the top… not soapy not like laundry not artificial, not sweet, not for clubbing…. just fresh feeling fragrance for the day in spring summer and during the day, when you go out for a coffee, lunch, … Does Acqua di Gio Profumo work for that?
If you’re still in the market… yes. This is literally the definition of what you’re looking for. It’s just an extremely fresh versatile scent. Can’t beat it. Took me a bit to appreciate it, but I’m glad because my 125 oz is mostly full. This may be my signature. Just fresh.

Got this a few months ago and love it. A bit newer in the fragrance game, but have a random question. I am hesitant to overpower and apply too much, but I simply do not get long projection from anything I have EDT or EDP. I've tried other hacks to increase longevity, but no go. My wife does not think I'm applying enough. I'd like to know what application method you use, say, for this particular scent. Placement and amount. Thx
Your bottle is 38RDxxx. So December 2018. The last good old formula. The rest with S, T and U letters are considerably weaker and smell different. More aquatic and less... to none incense.
I have a bottle with U (2021) and it’s a beast. Last minimum 8 hours. When I spray on clothes in the morning, I can still smell it the following day. My bottle was manufactured in May and I have a magnetic Cap 🧢
@@sfhsdc Some reported newer bottles dont have a magnetic cap. I have hever seen this in any verison of profumo. The latest Ive seen were from July 2021 and seem they are a bit stronger than the 2020 and 2019. Still not as strong and same to 2018 and prior.

Yep. My husband does the same only uses Perry Ellis 360 Red in place of original ADG.

I enjoy the Special Blend iteration slightly better (2017). Was surprised to see it’s discontinued and pricey as all get up now a days

That one is the best. I ended up getting the blue bottle. Only because I couldn't find a 6.7 oz bottle.

Performance is terrible I have a batch 03/2021 it projects in the first hour and then it becomes a skin scent for the next few hours and that's that. Huge disappointment, such a great smell and no projection ... No wonder they discontinued it.
I have 11/2021 non magnetic cap and Its as good as „old” batches 🤷♂️
I have a 2021 batch as well and it projects for 4-6 hours and lasts more than 12 on my skin.

I actually got mine magnetic when I graduated a month ago!!! Wow! I didn't know they aren't magnetic anymore! I thought they weren't magnetic for anything less then 125 ml
I'm not positive about the change in cap. I had heard they changed it, but in the comments here, people are saying they are still magnetic
@@TLTGReviews I think they might still be magnetic. I got mine a month ago from a Bloomingdale's so it might just be magnetic caps are for full size and up. I can also tell you with certainty the newest batches are still good! Just as good as yours 👍 keep up the great work, I love your content. It keeps me going through the day
@@nonnone7060 yeah I think it must be certain sized bottles. I have the small 40ml (1.35oz) bottle and it's a click cap. A very bad one! Also no reflective writing and no reflective bottom.

I just purchased a 2.5ml bottle (2021) and it still has the magnetic cap just not the lettering. Which is kind of a bummer.
I just got a new bottle in from the Giorgio Armani website and it's a magnetic cap. I can't imagine they would be selling old stock.

Very nice fragrance. I only got a small bottle and I don't really wear it all that much, but when I do I'm like "Yeah... That's good" 👍
One thing I will say though is that (since you speak about the cap) it has the worst cap in my collection. I have the click one and it just doesn't stay in place at all. Plus the bottle doesn't have the reflective bottom, it's just black glass like the rest of the bottle.
Actually I've just noticed mine has white text on instead of reflective too, and just a sticker on the bottom with the batch code etc. Maybe this is just because it's the small 40ml bottle? It's from a reputable department store here in the UK (John Lewis) so it's definitely genuine.
I just recently purchased mine from macys and it has the silver bottom, mag cap, but no silver lettering. I’m happy it has 2/3 which made this bottle unique.

i’ve tried smelling this on multiple occasions and at multiple department stores and they all perform the same for me :(. i’m really trying to love it. my gf loves the smell of it but i can’t smell it as good as other people can. is it not a strong smell? i almost get a CK one smell from it. soft and light but it sounds like a strong scent. i really do wanna buy this but can’t smell what others do :(

Ross have you try profondo light i got a sample from when i purchase this bottle. Light is good i think the performance it is good. My opinion is i think is little better the this frangace

More green then blue to me. I have a 125 ml, magnetic cap as well. Good but rather wear in the fall/winter due to how heavy/dark it is.
That's what I've always thought too. This is absolutely a Green fragrance. Profundo would be Blue.

I was only able to get a 50 ml of this one as a gift last Christmas.
I wear it sparingly as it is hard to find and expensive. It’s a very, very good fragrance and lasts on my skin forever it seems.
I have a 2021 batch. It projects well in the first hour or so, but I wouldn’t call it a beast. It does last more than eight hours on my skin.
I chose it for the incense and patchouli dry down. The OG didn’t move me.

If you’re still in the market… yes. This is literally the definition of what you’re looking for. It’s just an extremely fresh versatile scent. Can’t beat it. Took me a bit to appreciate it, but I’m glad because my 125 oz is mostly full. This may be my signature. Just fresh.

Got this a few months ago and love it. A bit newer in the fragrance game, but have a random question. I am hesitant to overpower and apply too much, but I simply do not get long projection from anything I have EDT or EDP. I've tried other hacks to increase longevity, but no go. My wife does not think I'm applying enough.

Your bottle is 38RDxxx. So December 2018. The last good old formula. The rest with S, T and U letters are considerably weaker and smell different. More aquatic and less... to none incense.
I have a bottle with U (2021) and it’s a beast. Last minimum 8 hours. When I spray on clothes in the morning, I can still smell it the following day. My bottle was manufactured in May and I have a magnetic Cap 🧢
@@sfhsdc Some reported newer bottles dont have a magnetic cap. I have hever seen this in any verison of profumo. The latest Ive seen were from July 2021 and seem they are a bit stronger than the 2020 and 2019. Still not as strong and same to 2018 and prior.
