The death sound isn't always a sign of your Wii U being dead, it can also mean the game froze. I had it happen once when there was the Nabbit glitch on SSB4, I was Mega Lucario, and I tried doing the bug, and I got the exact same noise, only my game frozs so I had to shut off the console and turn it back on.
I was on my gamepad a few minutes and the screen just turned orange and fuzzy things were all over it. That’s because I forced the console to turn off.

"The Sound of Death" is not that hard to get. You just have to play online for hours and it will appear more than once (even if nothing bad happens to the console)
@@diogoalves7910 the appearances of that sound are quite random. That sorta crash sound happens a lot due to how the Gamecube/Wii/WiiU all halt the CPU during a really bad crash. The crash handler doesn't bother to clear out the DSP (audio processor) data buffer, so it just repeats a small part of the audio over and over until you cut the power. Since the buffer is very small, it creates a high pitched, harsh noise.

If you were ever interested in doing a 3DS all errors, I have some minor tips for it. My New 3DS XL, old 2DS, and New 2DS XL all experience problems with reading all of my game cartridges (yes, I do realize that means the game carts are to blame. Unrelated note- still haven't found a fix, no amount of cleaning the carts ever works). Anyway, there's a couple things that could happen. 1. The game icon appears in the menu, but the graphic that's supposed to be displayed on the top screen is not shown. Selecting the icon will result in the message "The game card could not be read," or something along those lines. 2. The game will be read enough to appear in the menu properly and can be selected, but just after the 3DS logo ends, it displays "The game card could not be read." 3. Either the same as 2, or it could happen in the middle of a game if I happen to bump the area where the cartridge is. It displays "An error has occurred." There are no number codes associated with this error. I'd also just like to share an extra story of when #3 happened while Kirby: Triple Deluxe was auto-saving, resulting in every save file being erased. Ouch. Hope this helps! Just reply to this comment if you have any questions, I wouldn't mind doing a bit more messing around with my consoles to get more specific info if needed.

oh crap i've gotten the "sound of death" multiple times while playing minecraft! but only from playing minecraft, and its extremely random when it happens, usually after an error happens in the actual game. (like someone's voice getting glitched out and repeating the last second of it on a loop and doing anything gives the sound of death error.) edit: its minecraft's fault. it crashes on switch for no reason as well. :/
in Tumble I crashed cuz I got a snowball throwing at me and but it didn't happen ever again and I also got crack cuz somebody made a crash machine and crafts me
You forgot the green light of death. Sometimes happens when you are playing in Wii mode and you turn off the console. Can be fixed by simply turning the console back on and off again.
I remember a year after I got my WiiU, I was fixing to play Splatoon (which I had gotten for my 30th birthday in 2015). When I went to put the disc in, I waited for the game to be ready to played. As the seconds and even minutes passed by, my WiiU wouldn't read the desk, let alone eject it. I informed my mom of the situation, and we called Nintendo Customer service. I was devastated upon learning that my WiiU needed repairs. Not sure what caused it, but prior to the mishap, I was playing some Wii games on the thing, and no problems had occurred.
I Remember Some Errors That I Got, And One Was So Confusing 1) One Time I Tried To Play NSMBU, But I Got The Disk Could Not Be Read Error. I Tried Cleaning The Disk But It Would Just Give Me The Same Error Over And Over Again. 2) I Was Playing Minecraft Bc I Had Nothing To Do. I Killed The Enderdragon And After That, The Game Crashed.

2. The game will be read enough to appear in the menu properly and can be selected, but just after the 3DS logo ends, it displays "The game card could not be read."
Ouch.

I had the Death Sound on my GameCube. I have a video for those who wanna see proof.
@@TheMoon_Follow I don't trust that link at all
I was Able to get My WII U to Crash with the Luigi and Ness Glitch on smash Bros
I never saw that on GCN, only Wii and Wii U, but finally i see a GCN with that
The sound of death can be done when the console is overloaded. For example it can happen during wind waker hd when you charge up too much for a super swim
thats weirdly specific. did that happen to you?
@@melvinlovesyou_ no but I saw it in a video
also in minecraft wii u edition if you manage to cram alot of minecarts with tnt into one block and make them explore theres a pretty good chance it crashes the game
i used to do that alot
Recently have had this happen a lot with the randomizer. Had this dream that this would be patched when it would be released.

At 1:56 I saw that video i know how he fix his Wii U. He took out a battery out the game pad or the console itself then turn it off then on again and it worked like this comment if this help you please like
Edit: if you don’t know where the battery is it’s in the side of the Wii U
Edit 2: I liked my comment because no one will
The “the game card could not be read” it also happens when it’s no internet
3:49 You actually forgot an Error...
"There is a problem with the system memory."
Happens When Ram/CPU Crashes.
Difficulty: Medium
I get this one a lot
My Wii U is partially bricked because of this, I can’t get into most apps, including system settings and no Nintendo games will load.
@@woodie07 I yeah this exact same thing happened to me, I had to get a new wiiU
@@redgh Oh...
I remember when I first got The Sound of Death, my brother and I would run out of the room we were in due because of our scared ness. We still do that now XD
Same...
I get so damn scared of that, i dont turn it on for like 1 day
about the sound of death, here's a way to cause it:
1. open the homebrew launcher via the channel
2. open loadiine gx2
3. run any game with mii maker mode
3DS errors?
press power button for 11 seconds ._.
The NGAMECUBE Ending Is *G O O D* In Kill Screen
As a Wii U owner from 2013-2017 i've had almost all these errors.
God Damm where's your wii U now
Got my Wii U since it came out and only got error codes
@@chinita.925 oh
I have gotten the hold the power button for 4 seconds before but it was because of a bad disk.
3:17 this happens to me everytime but my wii u is still alive
i think i have a God Wii U
Same
Me too When I played Splatoon With Cheats
Same bro
Same When i played nfs 2012 haha nostalgic
It’s when your game crashes, not when the console dies. The video is wrong.
3:34 Nintento's?
All I have to do is spawn into a world with all blocks replaced with TNT in Minecraft, then light it up and then
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR
0:36 I have this error very often!
Aw dang it
Same with nsmbu deluze
3:07 happened when i was playing pokken tournament, and after, It never boot again ;-;

i always had the “disc could not be read” message when trying to play nintendo land :(
It was probobly scratched
my wii u came with Nintendo land and Splatoon. I thought all wii us came with it.
Exact same but mine wasnt scratched, corrupted or pirated
@@sillycat103 same it always rejects mine and tells me it to turn it off even though nothing is wrong with it

Also the error you get after bricking your console by resetting with CBHC installed
How do I know? It just happened to me. :(
yeah it happened to me too
The consoles itself is even bricking without CBHC, and is only one way to revive: using an raspberry pi chip
@@alejoyugar It's actually much much better than it was previously compared to the time when I posted this comment
Before now you had to go through a really complicated process with opening the console and micro-soldering which felt impossible and wasn't explained now but it's much simpler now
If you unplug the USB at a certain stage during startup you will also get that loud sound error

Watch 'till the end... Classic
You forgot an error, which is that in very rare cases, an error code saying “An error occurred while reading the disc” will appear after trying to open the game.
3:17 Ah yes, I remember getting that all the time.
Same. I used to run out of the room because it really hurt my ears- It hurts still, but not as much
Me 2 but it happens one every year I think
oh crap i've gotten the "sound of death" multiple times while playing minecraft! but only from playing minecraft, and its extremely random when it happens, usually after an error happens in the actual game. (like someone's voice getting glitched out and repeating the last second of it on a loop and doing anything gives the sound of death error.)
edit: its minecraft's fault. it crashes on switch for no reason as well. :/
it hates minecraft.
Same my switch just crashes sometimes in minecraft, and minecraft only
It happened while playing super Mario maker.
in Tumble I crashed cuz I got a snowball throwing at me and but it didn't happen ever again and I also got crack cuz somebody made a crash machine and crafts me
@@Chasencolinful I crashed on auto level

You forgot the green light of death. Sometimes happens when you are playing in Wii mode and you turn off the console. Can be fixed by simply turning the console back on and off again.
wdym
what happens if you turn it on again
New error...

1:10 happened to me a lot of times
I remember a year after I got my WiiU, I was fixing to play Splatoon (which I had gotten for my 30th birthday in 2015). When I went to put the disc in, I waited for the game to be ready to played. As the seconds and even minutes passed by, my WiiU wouldn't read the desk, let alone eject it. I informed my mom of the situation, and we called Nintendo Customer service. I was devastated upon learning that my WiiU needed repairs. Not sure what caused it, but prior to the mishap, I was playing some Wii games on the thing, and no problems had occurred.
1:15 I've gotten that one a handful of times

I Remember Some Errors That I Got, And One Was So Confusing
1) One Time I Tried To Play NSMBU, But I Got The Disk Could Not Be Read Error. I Tried Cleaning The Disk But It Would Just Give Me The Same Error Over And Over Again.
2) I Was Playing Minecraft Bc I Had Nothing To Do. I Killed The Enderdragon And After That, The Game Crashed.
3:16 dang it, Todd from mariokarts overclocked the Wii u's gpu.
