I have been changing my VW diesel's oil at 7500 mile intervals with no problems (confirmed with oil analysis through Blackstone Labs). I just changed to Red Line oil after using all the 'free' oil that I got from VW with the $500 gift card that was part of the diesel-gate scandal settlement.
Right on. I typically drive my car between 3k to 6250k consistently and bash on it reason why I am getting an oil cooler and change so often being a gdi gas vehicle the oil thins from blow by... Thankyou for commenting!
@@CodyDoesIt a lot of the mileage on my diesel was from three trips to Fairbanks from Oregon. 6500 mile round trip, so I started each one with fresh oil and changed it shortly after returning. Hey, it's a diesel and looks dirty two seconds after each oil change
You got that right! I work for Chrysler and I see it. Highway mileage is different as well as well as beating on your car on the hwy talking 120mph or more. Your car should require a heavy duty oil as well over gdi gas engines. I enjoy talking with like minded people ty!
@@CodyDoesIt yeah I about shit myself the other day my oil temp said 270 and I did my research and with BMWs newer engines the water pump is electronic so it let's the engine get that hot on purpose by not letting it get any coolant for emissions not so good for oil life though... dont know how they can get away with recommending 15 thousand mile oil change intervals
I worked for BMW 6 years ago as a vallet and drove allot of there models. Great engine a just not the maintenance you'd expect for such a complex and expensive cars.
You’ve caught a quart of oil in your catch can ? If so you really do beat on this thing lol and Yae that hose is probably collapsing on its selfe. I can t believe how many people don’t run oil catch cans
Catless after market muffler and cold air intake stock tune. Not quite sure on turbo capability and reliability. I can tell you shark racing a Korean aftermarket company does have a turbo kit.
Id love to flash my ecu and have it optimized it does run well when driven a while above 3k consistently and still averages 27 mpg on hard throttle mostly lol.
