Take me out tonight
Take me anywhere, I don't care
I don't care, I don't care
And in the darkened underpass
I thought, "Oh God, my chance has come at last"
But then a strange fear gripped me
And I just couldn't ask
Take me out tonight
Oh, take me anywhere, I don't care
I don't care, I don't care
Driving in your car
I never, never want to go home
Because I haven't got one, la-di-dum
Oh, I haven't got one...
everybody talks how good the double-decker bus part is. But honestly, I never see anybody mention the flute part. The way it sounds is just so soothing for some reason. Underrated part of the song.
It was guitar originally
And they did it live live
@@c.a.d.w.a5573 they did the flute live???
@@d1_s175 no they did the flute part on guitar live
Which sounds pretty cool
The flute part is heavenly beautiful I can tell , I always listen to this song just to get to this part
I might be wrong, but I think Johnny Marr made these arrangements. If that's true, it proves his genius beyond guitar
He probably did it. If not, he's still a genius! Hehe.
🤜🤛
At the moment I watch this daily. This is my favorite piece of music ever, especially the flute part. Thank you so much.
@GrenMatze Wow, thanks a lot! I'm glad you liked it.
I love everything about this song, but the flute/ strings part is really the best one.
Cheers!
wow, very accurate to the original song!! Awesome
Thanks a lot!

Take me out tonight
Where there's music and there's people
And they're young and alive
Driving in your car
I never, never want to go home
Because I haven't got one
Anymore
Take me out tonight
Because I want to see people
And I want to see life
Driving in your car
Oh, please don't drop me home
Because it's not my home, it's their home
And I'm welcome no more
And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure, the privilege is mine
Take me out tonight
Take me anywhere, I don't care
I don't care, I don't care
And in the darkened underpass
I thought, "Oh God, my chance has come at last"
But then a strange fear gripped me
And I just couldn't ask
Take me out tonight
Oh, take me anywhere, I don't care
I don't care, I don't care
Driving in your car
I never, never want to go home
Because I haven't got one, la-di-dum
Oh, I haven't got one
Oh, oh
And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure, the privilege is mine
Oh, there is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
Agr que vi que vc é brasileiro kkkkk

Po, muito obrigado!
Não vou parar, não. Enquanto eu tiver gás, vou tacarnos 80 na cara dessa molecada de hoje. Hehe.
Abs.
Hey can you please do the full chorus string part? Thanks! Amazing video!!
I think your missing a key note in there dude
That riff that goes 151555 33217 the second part of the riff I think has a higher dissonant note at the end.
That special note is “the light”
Possibly. It's tricky bcs of the delay efx applied to it.
so cool! Love it
Tks a lot!
I've been racking my brain trying to figure out the song in which I've heard the chords that kick in from 29 seconds in. It's something I've heard fairly recently and it's irritating the life out of me 😩🤣 the song which I can't figure out uses these chords slightly slower. Have spent the last hour googling who has sampled this song and no success. Any ideas? 😊
🤔🤔🤔.
No idea.
How do you play the strings on the chorus part?
This song brings me powerful feelings of nostalgia and of things I’ll never experience again, even if I lived for eternity. The ending is perfect. ❤🎶🎹🎵🎻
@hairandcia2028 Thank you very much! To me, as well. One of the top 5 songs of my life.
🤜🤛
How did you create these patches?
Hi, Brian. Those are factory presets. I used the keyboards' track sequencer to record the song.
This is wonderful. Can you share how you made or found the backing track? Thanks.
Thank you very much!
I created the backing track on Roland Fantom's sequencer. Drums, Bass, Acc Guitar and Strings; one on each channel.
Fantom had 16 recording channels, as well as Triton. The strings sound on Triton was recorded using a resource called RPPS, which allows you to dedicate a phrase to a specific key.
I just noticed that at 2:13 there's another string line that comes on the fourth beat, two eight notes: F# G#. And two bars later the same melody afterwards land on an E
2:13 on the original audio?
@@NostalKeys yes!
@svantesvard6966 Exactly! I've just heard it, and I had never noticed that. You have extremely good ears.
🤜🤛
pois é, fica um intervalo de segunda menor, entre G# e A, e depois um salto ascendente pra nota E
Wow, very good!
New subscriber here😊 super talented dude! Love your videos ❤
@mrsc2062 Awwwww...thank you very much!!
🤜🤛😘
Was the acoustic guitar on the Fantom or Triton?
Fantom.
May I inquire what your aroeggiator settings were?
@br2jyk I didn't use the Arpeggiator function. The one I used is called RPPR. The RPPR (Realtime Pattern Play/Recording) function on the Korg Triton allows users to assign a pattern and track to each key in Sequencer mode. This allows the user to play a pattern by pressing the assigned key.
That's what I did for the Strings sound while I play the Flute.
Perfect as usual !
Thanks a lot, my friend!
make 10 hours of this pleaseee hehehe
Haha... I feel you. This song should be endless.
Tks a lot!
😮 Amazing! Congratulations! 🎉
Thanks a lot!
That's so fucking cool!!!!!!!!!
Thank you very much!
is the only way to play this by having a recording of the base melody (which you introduce when you hit the play button around 1.10) and the overlay is then on top? So it's impossible to play this without a recording?
Tks for tour comments.
Well, I'm very limited, reason why I can't play both hands simultaneously. But for sure there are many keyboard players that can do it. I tried very hard, but I couldn't.
@@NostalKeys Thanks mate, it sounds great. Do you think that the smiths keybaord player is good enough to do both melodies both handed? I havent seen anyone else accompolish that on other YT tutorials of this record!!
@@FreedomFighterz215 Ahhh, he is. He's such a great keyboard player. He does amazing stuff live.
Really helpful tutorial, thanks
Thank you!
this video made me so happy, tysm
Wow... I'm glad you liked it. Thank you!!
