It’s a tough choice, i’m playing blue rn, being nearly immortal is awesome, but the feeling of using charged stinger and unleashing it on the boss face is really something
I gotta say it's been fun playing blue because there's a mini game of managing my shields it's not too stressful but it can be optimized when decision making
Ngl tanking feels good since they are so many DPS players and once you reach T3 you need to find some descent tank or support to maximize your damage Cause when i saw some high level tier in KR they always one to find a GIGA CHAD Blue Lancer
Yesss im with you, in my experience i have low survivability with red gunlance on T1 and T2, but once i've got T3, supercharge lv3 and 312 skill points everything went smoothly and on time 😁😁
That was me with deathblade. t1 & t2 very low survavability, okay damage, long cds. Then t3 hit and its a whole different game. I see why alot of KR players say the game doesn't begin till T3 cause alot of classes really don't get going until t3 like e.g. shadowhunter demon form, t1-t2 transform maybe once a min. t3. damn near permament demon form.
@@crazedmonk8u Daaaaamn you are so right! The amount of systems and upgrades you get in T3 are really a game changer and make the game so much more in dpeth its so true.
I love playing blueGL esp in a team environment of guardian raids and such. On solo travel/dungeons i have essentially RedGL build but i still maintain the combat readiness ability going primarily because my gears and such all lean towards specialization stats and such. Kinda hard to break out of it when your gear is also influencing your build and i dont have other gears to consider.
So because builds are quite expensive most people tend to focus their build towards guardian raids and abyssal dungeons. There are like some min/max things you can do for chaos dungeon and tower but i personally wouldnt recommend it as the price per what it offers is not worth imo. It will be tough doing a red build with spec but it can be done!
Thanks for the video! Just what I wanted to hear haha. I just made a GL a few days ago (still at t1). Always love to have a tanky character in all mmos I play. And my big brain, I didn't even realize the blue/red skills primarily correspond with their appropriate class engravings haha.
as a mid t2 blue gunlancer i feel practically immortal. my dps is trash GRANTED i use both combat readiness and Heavy armor to make myself way more beefy then needed. This is just my personal style of play, but god dam i feel like a immortal defensive god, and in the gurgian raids that big ass shield you get and give to allies makes the raid 10x easier. All you have to do is sit in face and just go ham, while the other do the damage. ALSO make sure uou land your counter hits your team will thank you
VERY TRUE!!! Blue gunlancer is very invincible. Another awesome thing is that in T3 once you get a better build going your damage increases quite a bit from what ive noticed. And totally agreed counters SOOO IMPORTANT
It's a very informative video! The edits are really2 good too! I've tried to build a hybrid build, and it's not good at all. It's lacking in everything. It's not tanky and doesn't deal that much of damage. So yeah, I agree that we need to choose only one build. Keep up the good works dude!
Thanks for the kind words homie I really appreciate you! In terms of hybrid yeah, its really tough because they are such opposing builds. the cloesest thing I could come up with was blue build with surge cannon traded out for one of the abilities because the base scaling on it is still pretty good
@@RichardPR19 Yeah ive seen that too in some korean builds! I think the optimal setup for it is when we get higher engraving accessories tho because if we get a +5 combat readiness accessory then it makes it so easy to run purple

i love playing bluelancer but i swapped shield charge with surge cannon for more weakpoint and stagger dmg, also i never got comfy with the shield charge ability. But now you say combat readinesss only buffs the blue skills, i was under the impression 20% on normal skills means both types
Even players from KR say that Blue Gunlancer is the meta build, so how is the red king when the meta build is the blue? Also, in end game in KR, not only the blue helps a lot more with the shields but also deal more dmg because the bosses are smaller so since the blue doesn't care about hitting the head of the boss, or don't need to dodge every single attack, the blue build doesn't lose uptime and doesn't give a shit about being in front of the boss to deal more dmg, it's pretty hard to beat a build when it doesn't really have any downside while the other build does. I mean don't get me wrong, red build is really good, but claiming that it's better when in fact is a lot weaker it's wrong.
You have have both builds! I would recommend starting with blue. The part that is going to get expensive is the engravings, accessories and rune differences but it can definitely be done to have both
I was trying to see if I could make one but they all seem so weak when I do. So for now id say pick one or the other. If i figure out how to split 50/50 ill let you know. But another thing is you can still do blue build with surge cannon it still works
Red is fine at T3! If you feel like your dying too much you can swap to blue. The investment really isnt that bad if you ask me. But ur at the point where its going to get better and better!
Hey i rly wonder how the scaling on GL is. I played every content to 1340 with my friend Party. We are all dedicated mmorpg players, but Holy the gl, he plays blue, zero dmg compared to zerk and sorc. Everyone is talking about the scaling in t3 but isnt every class getting new Stats? So weak stays weak? I mean i dont want to be rude, i plan to create a gl myself, but man this difference in dmg is huge. The only other Argument i read is, a dead dps is no dps but at a certain lvl you Just dont die to Basic mechanics so this is just no good Argument. Only thing i see is the i dont have to dodge mechanics and can keep hitting the Boss Argument. But i am not sure if this holds true with good positioning of normal dps classes. Dont get me wrong gl brings a lot of utility so its fine when he does a little bit less damage, but for now i got the feeling its like a second support with near No dmg and there is no utility that would be worth this...i hope you can change my mind. I know i might be a bit tryhard but is there a Website to check the mathematical dmg output or some kind of sim'ed fights like there is in wow? In the end i guess its "all balanced around the endgame" i hope this is true. Either way i researched on loawa for korean statistics, seems everyone is playing red for endgame. I guess where in high dodging, playing mechanic endgame fights the attack windows seem to be short, so i think thats why bursty red is the go to for this fights? Else its blue?
how much specialization does he have? blue gunlancer has crap base damage but gets up to +280% damage increase from specialization so even a small difference in specialization can result in a huge damage difference
Red gunlancer is way more satisfying to play, but alot harder. You NEED to be landing frontal attacks, manage your shields, time your counters etc alot more precise in order not to go trough your HP potions all the time. Also in later content windows for frontal attacks are small. I would suggest blue to new players, for a long time. Untill you know the game, know the fights, know your class.
Both builds are really good, but the blue one is a powerhouse, you're tanky, you can deal even more dmg that most of the team because of uptime and the fact that you don't give a fuck about hitting the head or the back of the boss, and let's be honest even if the effects from charge stinger and surge cannon are amazing, using lightning to deal dmg isn't that bad at all. Oh yeah and that sweet X saved me so many fights that would end on a wipe that i just think it's too much, it's op in another level, mostly because most of the wipe mechanics in this game are just pure high dmg, and that skill can suck so much dmg that is not even fair. So yeah, being almost immortal while dealing the same or even more dmg that a normal dps it's just something i can't refuse to play lol
Isnt stabilized Status better than grudge for blue build? Almost the same dmg increase, you dont have an incoming dmg drawback and you will rarely ever be below 80% hp as blue gunlancer, at least from what i experienced in t1 and t2 so far
So the damage difference between stabilize status and grudge is 16% vs 20% so you are missing out on 4% damage. Just like you said, you rarley take damage as blue gunlancer which is the same reason people take grudge over stabilize because the 20% damage intake is not really a problem on blue gunlancer as you still live the whole time
