- What a difference a day makes, after yesterday's lovely sunny day a complete contrast, with overcast, cold and windy conditions. At least the rain kept off until just after the Guard Change finished.
Sunday 26th January 2025, the first Sunday Guard Change of this year at Buckingham Palace.
Video consists of the following:
22 Signal Regiment (Old Guard) coming on duty at Buckingham Palace.
Nijmegen Company Grenadier Guards (New Guard) practising for the upcoming Guard Change.
Band of the Coldstream Guards marching up to St. James's Palace.
Band of The Coldstream Guards leading the Old Guard down to Buckingham Palace.
Band of The Welsh Guards leading the New Guard to Buckingham Palace.
Band of The Welsh Guards leading the Old Guard back to Wellington Barracks.
Band of the Coldstream Guards leading the New Guard up to St. James's Palace.

Thank you Delvin, must admit I don't recall hearing HRH The Princess Royal march before, but some nice marches played on the day.
@MrBaton74 You're most welcome Sir! I first heard HRH The Princess Royal march during a First Aid Nursing Yeomanry parade, in 2023 I believe! It's a wonderful but rare one! Thankfully it's the Slow march of the signals on Guard. So we get to hear it more!

Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed the video, it was good to see the guards again. Not sure if you saw or not as they may have overlapped but I also put up a video taken at Windsor the day before, the weather was much brighter that day. Don't often get to Windsor so was a great treat for me.

7:45 . Oh dear, 'that' bugler's back 😩. And as for the drill, it's crap, right across the British Army, including the Guards, who have gone downhill ever since they left Pirbright for Catterick.
Those drills are really terrible. I'm not looking forward to seeing the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards tomorrow; they're going to be just as bad as they were last time. 😒
Standards have really dropped. No "snap" to the drill anymore.
@@billchinook3292I certainly respect the army; however, I wanted to share my thoughts.
You will never know if they are going to be bad. Who cares about the drill. None is better than another. RAF regiments are even bad too. I don't agree with anyone with the army , Raf and Navy.
