Don’t know how long you gave it but given what I’m seeing I’d recommend giving the coats a little bit longer to dry. Great vid tho appreciate the effort. I’m definitely gonna do this one day 👍
Thanks for the vid. I am about to do the same although will use a fine brush. Will probably not have to take the calipers off as I don't think I need to paint the inside. One think that i will do differently, the springs that you took off and painted, they can easily be bought for just a few pounds (think they should be changed very second set of pads). I have already bought them and painted them. I have decided to do the springs black and the calliper dark blue. This matches the M Sport colouring (I will not e adding the decals).
@@GeorgeAusters thanks George. I hand painted some in the past but they were spares and I managed to do them under more controlled conditions in the garage and allowed them to dry for a long time. I'll wait for some nice spring weather and cross my fingers!
I wouldn't spray with pressure washer directly the pistons of the calipers, the rubber seals aren't designed to keep pressured water out of the caliper, and we know that water causes the inside of the caliper corrode and then start to leak. Just my thought, otherwise you did everything I would have done if I were to paint them myself.
yamahar6london yes it would clash most definetly with this car, graphite looks good on a black or even a white car. I was just pointing that these wheels in particular look good with graphite but yeah it wouldn’t look good on this E60
Proper job G. They’ll also smell nice for a few days. Plus they’ll be black soon enough again so that’s a good enough finish they look a lot better👊🏼
Cheers mate. Yeah they do the job just fine. I can touch them up while they're on now if I need to!
Something i want to do to mine when its a bit warmer and lighter for longer. Nice vid though bud
Yeah it definitely helps when it’s warmer!
Addicted to your 520 videos. Do you have a link to the face mask you use? I am assuming it blocks out all the spray fumes? Thank you.

Around 20-30 mins between coats👍🏻
No VHT primer?

Good stuff man. I’ve hand painted them in the past and the finish has never been as good as spraying them.
Hope it goes well👍🏻

Just make sure you clean and prep them properly or the paint will just flake off
Nice job George - also love your alloys - I've got the old 5 spokes which need to go.. Do you happen to have the code for yours?
They’re Style 172 Spyders 👍🏻
Hi guys, if I want to take the caliper totally off I would have to flood the brake fluid right? Or is it safe to just reassemble?
Will need to bleed brakes after
So cool!!
👍🏻

Noted! Thanks
How many cans of caliper paint did you use??
3-4 paint and 1 lacquer
Now now you gotta get your wheels done in black 👍🏾😜
Dunno about Black 😉
Graphite grey on these wheels look cool, just sayin 😎
@@robbieshaft think the colour of his car clashes with graphite grey wheels

Good
Cheers!
