I was on my first ever motorbike tour last summer and I'd never ridden while listening to music before. The second morning of the tour I decided to put my Bluetooth earbuds is and set one of my larger playlists on shuffle and this song came on soon after we set off and the timing couldn't have been more perfect. Riding across the Hebrides islands (about as far North as we can go in the UK) on a very fresh morning while the low morning sun hit our visors was already breath-taking, but with this song playing at the same time it was a truly memorable moment that bought a tear to my eye.

@Betonoszlop -- dude I had no idea. I had only gotten into Borknagar through Winter Thrice, then Universal, and was hooked when I heard about the new album. But even though I had been a fan of Arcturus and Dimmu Borgir, I had no idea Vortex was in Borknagar (ok: again) as well. So this full dose of Arcturus extravaganza in Up North got me like "the fuck?". Awesome though. I guess on Winter Thrice, their keyboarder was more prevalent with his softer voice? I am only now beginning to distinguish between them.
@@MensHominis Dudo, Borknagar have 4 different singers- Vortex, Lazare, Garm , and Wintersorg. They only appear in certain eras/albums, as each mostly has another project or 2 to work on. The entire album is a masterpiece. I didn’t think their last release could be topped, but this album blows it out of the water. It’s great to see a band release their meisterwerk this late into their career.

"Fall, my favourite season. Death and rain and rain and rain" The pure power of singers voice and beauty of the lyrics made me cry. Like some songs of Quintessence did. After all these years... Thank you Borknagar, for being a part of my life.
This song reminds me of the work Vortex did on his solo album, but that’s a good thing. And as someone that lives “Up North” and get to enjoy all 4 seasons pass by, this song truly touches my soul.
