- If you're looking at the screen all day, in the sun / rain etc... The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 might be just the gear you need. We use this Android tablet paired with our Emlid Reach RS2 GNSS receivers.
This is a great unit, incredibly rugged and can survive a dip in a tailings dam - we've tried it!
Make sure you have a plan B for powering your tablet if you're aiming for a solid 12 hour stint in the field.
Along with a whole bunch of other stuff, we also run Emlid Studio and Carlson layout on our unit. What gear are you using with your GNSS survey setup? - Наука та технологія
Have you considered purchasing additional Tab Active 3 batteries and a multi charging station? One of the coolest things about the Tab Active 3 in my view is the ability to easily pop the back off and swap out batteries...
We have, but you really have to watch out for that tiny gasket seal. We are often working in wet and dust environments - any grit in there and you could potentially let moisture in.
We got 20hrs with our base doing static data collection for a control.
Thanks for the video senior.
Please have you been able to text the 16 hours battery life with emlid reach RS2 ?
Yes in fact when just static logging (collecting RINEX) at 1 Hz (with BT and mobile data off), I’ve observed even longer operating times from the RS2. Remember to always use quality USB cables and a powerful USB power adapter to ensure effective charging of your receiver.
Do you have an alternate antennae that you could recommend to boost the RS2 Lo-Ra signal? or any other economical alternative?
This kit will do the trick. ua-cam.com/video/cCrR1llV4cw/v-deo.html
We only supply to Australia and New Zealand. Let us know where you are located in case there are suppliers closer to you.
Does it support GS pro for DJI drone mapping?
We only use GS Pro with an iPad - I don't believe DJI have released an Android version of this yet.
