- Watch this video if you are awaiting delivery of your first Emlid Reach RS2!
Below are chapter links if you want to skip ahead. There are a heap of handy tips along with the steps you'll need to follow in order to get your receiver ready to start work.
The 5 essential steps are:
1) Power on the charged receiver - it will create a Wi-FI network called "Reach:XX:XX"
2) Connect to that Wi-Fi network with a phone or tablet running the Reachview3 App
3) Provide the receiver with credentials for a local Wi-Fi network connected to the Internet. This will allow the receiver to download the latest firmware.
4) Reconnect to the RS2 receiver from your device via the same local Wi-Fi network.
5) Name the receiver and complete the setup process including any firmware updates.

Hello just want to know which Post Processing software is used to remove the error .Your Recommendation Please
Hi thanks for your interest. Could you be more specific? Which error would you like to remove?
Excuse me ,
Why is the prices are so expensive comparing with the emlid website prices , can you please clarify that ,,,
does it have a connector for receiver to USB to serial to connect the gnss to hydrographic equipment like an echo sounder
Thanks for your question. Both the Reach RS2 and RS2+ have RS-232 and USB-C ports which can be configured to enable Position Streaming to third-party devices. You can read about this on more detail here: docs.emlid.com/reachrs2/reference/specifications/specs/#ports-overview
You may also find a community discussion about echosounder communication with the RS2 here: community.emlid.com/t/echosounder-communication-with-rs2/26741
Let us know if that helps.
@@MangoesmappingAU yes I did read about it and it is commendable... But the cable should come with it in the pack . I shouldn't be made to buy the cable at a separate cost
@@nsikakobongeyakz4032 Thank you for your interest. The RS2+ units come with a USB-C cable and the serial cable is an optional extra for specific use cases. Let us know how we can get in touch so we can help you with your projects.
