  • Andrew Sharpe upgraded the GPS receiver units on his fleet of John Deere tractors with Emlid GNSS receivers. In this video, an Emlid Reach RS2+ GNSS receiver is used to replace a Trimble 132 receiver on a Topcon x20 control unit. The RS2+ was a perfect fit under the old antenna protector cover from the older Trimble units.
As the spray controller was based on older GPS hardware, the RS2+ was configured to output the location data in an older data format via Reachview 3.
Using an Emlid Reach cable, the RS2+ was wired via a junction box into the existing spray control system. Power from the tractor was supplied back up the same cable to enable the Emlid Reach to power up when voltage was detected and charge while the tractor ignition was switched on.

      Hi Oscar,
We recommend a triple magnet base as these have a much stronger holding capacity.
In Australia, these are available on the Map Gear site: www.mapgear.com.au/product/triple-magnetic-mount-1/
Which country are you based in?
