    A wonderfully simple method of getting good detail, particularly into sketches of animals. This demo is also very entertaining ... you are an artist AND an actor. Many thanks for sharing this great technique.

      True I’m a child 5th grade and if I draw the same braid then I would impress my teacher also animal drawings will be wayyyyyyyyyy more realistic instead of lethal Chris technique on how to draw fur this is more easy just need an empty pen or some pencil shaped object

    Omg! You're amazing! I was stressing out this morning about how to make my white hairs in an upcoming portrait and I was thinking white charcoal, white ink, addition and reduction methods of shading... jumped up to go try this out on a piece of Bristol and it looks amazing with minimal effort 😱 you're the MVP!

    I was taught this method and know it as sgrafito, very useful and effective! I use a metal embossing tool with different sized rounded ends so it moves across the paper easily

    All of the examples in this video were really useful. I knew about them but I’d completely forgotten to use them when I probably could have.
    I’m pretty sure I’ll remember to use it for signing my drawings. I like that one especially.

    Empty "liquid ink" pens like Pilot V Ball are good as the ink is water based, so if you leave the empty pen in the sun or on a radiator for a few days, it will dry out completely. There is no risk then of remnant rogue ink marking the paper like happens with oil based ball pens . If you make a small pin hole in the barrel before you place, it on the radiator or whatever, it will help allow moisture to escape more easily and speed drying. I have a few in different ball sizes and I discard their caps once prepared as a stylus, so I know which ones they are.

    I use Nail Art supplies for that, they are normally used to make little tips on the nail, different sizes in a package. Works very good.

    Yo man, this trick is supa kuul, and you can even use the flashlight of your phone in a tilted manner to see the highlights, thats what i did when i tried this technique.!
