Thank you Ali. I love the way you're aware of people working in places where they can't afford or access some more specialised art materials. Thanks again.

Hey Ali - I also used a pestle & mortar to grind up the smaller pieces of graphite after I couldn’t hold them on the sandpaper. I probably will get a dedicated one as I’m not sure my kitchen one is very happy right now!! 🙀🙀 Worked like a charm though!
Finally a youtuber who has proper tutorials for their art. 😍
what do you mean
I like how you teach DIY art products. I never made them but I still like watching them.
Hello Ali!I am learning so much from your tutorials !Art school is great for getting a foundation but what artists learn from other artists is so much more valuable!!This was yet another great tip! I have so many old pencils and I got to thinking and I tried this with some of my old water color pencils that were broken or to short and I put it in little make up containers it made really amazing water color powder! Thanks for the tip and inspiration!
Its a pleasure 😊💕
Can you do my portrait pleasee... just a photo you can send me. please
Thanks
I am so glad I found your channel! I'm new to graphite & charcoal drawing so, your wonderful videos have taught me so much! You are an amazing artist!! Thank you so much!

I want to appreciate that you are teaching your techniques for free. 😊 such a great gesture. And great video as well.
As a Pakistani Artist myself your channel is so helpful. I wish I had find it earlier. Lots of love.💕💕💕
Thank you so much for this video!
U dont know how much u helped me
And how much u made my house messy 😂
😂😂
Oh hey army👋😂
Jimin jungcock
Only army thinks like that 😂👍🏻💜
I use a mechanical clutch pencil, the type with the sharpener on the back end. Every time I sharpen my lead I tap the sharpener into a bowl.
Since I use powdered graphite only occasionally this method gives me enough for my needs.
That's Great!
Thanks for sharing your technique with us 😊
Brilliant! Thank you for sharing your amazing skills!
You are truly an inspiration to me. Love your amazing works and your tutorial videos are so helpful!!!!
5:17 became a satisifying sound
You are one of the best artist I've ever seen... I've learnt many things from you and I'm learning many...
I just discovered your channel and I'm hooked! You are so talented! I'd cut my sandpaper smaller to fit & shave it down inside the container to not waste as much.
Thank you very much for the info. I never thought of using powder before.
Very nice 👌 charcoal power 👍 well done
Love from an Indian ❤️ bro because your art is excellent and keep it up and I have learned a lot from you❤️
usually i just take my mechanical pencil and use a tiny crack on my school desk and go back and forth making powder.
Same
I actually used to do this when I was a child but I would randomly just use the light on pencils cause a graphite powder was pretty helpful and very attractive
I already used this technique in my art but powder bnane m help hui thank u, 😊 nice video
Thank you so much sir.. keep uploading.. u r awesome.. love from INDIA.. 😍😍

Hey, how do u make charcoal powder? The only way I know is using Derwent sprinkler
YES THE THIRD TEQNUQiQE was easy and was what I was looking for
Enjoying alot,, and thanks for giving these ideas 👍
Your tips and techniques are beyond my level, Ali, but I'm subbing just to support your beautiful art and to keep watching your work.
I never knew about graphite powder!! Now i want to make some! I really enjoyed the video. No complaints from me other than it was a bit long but its worth it to watch your videos ^^
I bet the first ever graphite pencil used by Pakistani kids probably from 90s to 2000-08 were the Goldfish pencils.
I feel so nostalgic and happy seeing you using it.
Nowadays there are many new pencil companies but for me Goldfish pencils and colors were best
Yes sir you are a real inspireing person for people like me
3d drawing tutorial we needed
Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank You so much for this info.
Could you please make a video on how to draw highlights on face? Highlights as in the effect of a highlighter on a girl's cheek. If you don't know what a highlighter is, it's a part of makeup that puts on shine when you apply it anywhere on your face. Thank you.
Great video! Following along with your drawing tutorials from the U.S. Another method that would give the results you tried with a hammer is to use a mortar & pestle (used in cooking & science) or any solid surface & a heavy smooth stone.
5:15 Why is this so satisfying!
I know right? Satisfying is definitely the best word to describe it haha
I sharpen like this as well it’s so satisfying chopping wood off
Yeah, I know!
Really Nice Video Brother.
All r good methods.
Lov the Sand paper idea the most.
God Bless you!! Cheers!!

Super video. Do you always use hb pencils to make graphite? Or do you use all kinds of pencils for that, such as 2b, 4b etc.
loads of love from india.... u r absolutely an amazing artist man!!!
I love drawing 👍
thank you . you're a very good artist. hopefully my drawings will get better.
Thanks & best wishes 💕😊
I like the second type of homemade graphite powder, becase unlike in the sandpaper there graphiye powder left on it, but again this video was life changing, awesome
Incredibly helpful, thanks.
im from india bro and i can only share love with you
your videos really have quality
Thank you for the tip !
Fantastic tutorial and just to say there’s nothing backward about Pakistan as it has fine artist and tutors like you. Interestingly enough I’ve struggled to get graphite powder of different ranges here in the uk even on uk amazon. Rather I’m having to travel to art shops far from where I live. The grass grows but isn’t always green. Thank you again for imparting your wisdom
Indeed! I really appreciate it! Means alot! thankyou
Thank's for these excellent tips .
You are having such a beautiful art , you are an great artist .
Thanks for that method, using for shading work.
what a coincidence I also use sand paper technique for making graphite powder😁❤
Wow
My new favourite channel on UA-cam
I am from India I like sketching
Along the lines of the hammer method. A mortar and pestle would work really well and make a fine powder than the hammer as well as keep it contained.
I had the same thought. A small, nonporous mortar and pestle could probably do it more efficiently timewise, just using a pile of broken lead refills.
Very amazing idea.awesome i love its so perfect
Great ! Now I just have to get sand papper , as it is the fastest way :) . Before I do this, I ll just have to try graphite shavings I collected in hope of making this even easyer ...hahaha .... I do have some doubts about shavings as they are in the shape of small needles, but I just have to try it !! :)
great u really inspire me ...love from INDIA
i liked ur videos, i live also in an area where there is no extra art tools, do you know how to transform natural charcol to a charcol that you can draw with ? and on what paper ? because it doesnt stick on normal papers..
Good information. Beautiful drawings!
Nice video. Thanks you for solving my problem to search for graphite powder here in Pakistan.

Love from Nigeria (Africa)
Thanks a bunch, really informative video!
Thanks sir ... I learned lots of things from your channel ... Its really helpful for me ... Love from india
Other methods include mortar and pestle if you have one (this is a more controlled version of the hammer method), and saving the dust when sharpening a woodless pencil. If you can get your hands on woodless graphite sticks you can shave or crush those. The latter are commonly included in the inexpensive Chinese-made drawing kits all over eBay, Wish, and Amazon. Indeed, I bought such a case myself and substituted the cheap pencils with a set of FC 9000s. In any case I agree with Ali that graphite powder is a great timesaver in graphite art.
Lots of love from India bro. Very nice process!
Thank you sir... It is really helpful..
I sharpen my woodcase graphite pencils just as Ali does, and keep a little rectangular snap-top container on my art table. Every time I sharpen, I save the excess graphite. It's a mix of all different hardnesses, but it seems to work. As Ali does, I usually only use it for large areas, not where detail is important, so it's worth taking a moment each sharpening, vs doing a ton of pencils at once, unless you really need a large quantity at one time.
You are crazy talented ❤️
I can't believe I've never thought of this. My friend you have saved me a lot of money now. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing ideas 🧡
Hello Ali do you have a vice versa of this, like turning the powder into a solid one ?
