Great video! I just replaced my screen (glass, digitizer and LCD) and I'm now getting the dreaded "Warning Camera failed" error message for some reason. Pretty sure I didn't snap anything or rip any flex cables. I can force the front one to work through Dex, but no luck on the phone itself. Any ideas where to get these rear camera parts?
@@DIYGeardo Yes, I did. I now have two sets of rear cameras, and I have tried every combination of the 6 to try to weed out a defective one. In every case, it comes up with "camera failed". I have even formatted the cache partition every time I've replaced a camera, and no luck. Do you know if there is some sort of DRM or tamper-protection on this phone? Is it possible that it no longer works because the camera's serial numbers don't match the screen?
I had ubreakifix look at it and they repaired it for me, showing me the cameras were working, but I didn't want to pay their $300 for this repair, so they "unfixed" it and gave it back no charge...I'm wondering if they did something to reset the board in order to recognize their new cameras?
I did changed only wide lens and its not working. Camera app wont start up. It shows an error. I hope that it is only bad quality camera replacement form china, not a software block to another replacement parts like APPLE did 😢
I replaced my main camera but it only says camera failed, i swapped back to the original and everything works fine, i bought original samsung camera, i bought from a legit store, but it says camera failed, what to do ?:)
@@johnyp2967 no, i went to a shop to fix it with a camera they had (original) Same issue again, i think its connected to the motherbord/mainbord(or whatever its called)
@@johnyp2967 i think its connected to the motherboad, i tried to polish the camera myself and now i just took the main camera out and threw it. Little did i know that because of 1 camera missing the app doest work.🤣
Warning - DO NOT USE A HEAT GUN!!!! I did this and the photos are now blurry. Is see that this happes to many people. Please take down this video and remake it but without the heat gun. Unfortunately I had not read the comments before following instructions in this video.

Emm that is strange..did you check the connections?

The part they don't tell you is that the phones software won't allow you to use the cameras if you do this.

you should go to safe mode and try the camera is working. Maybe something wrong with an app. Reset to original settings after back up can helps too.
