I have been here since 88, and they are still behind Bucharest subway, never mind way behind and laughable when compared to the biggest London, Paris and New York.
Makes sense for those cities as they are more dense, whereas Canadians on the whole like having personal space, and would rather not live in tiny apartments. That said, just be happy you have a decent public transit service that can serve its users (consisting mostly of poor people and virtue signaling leftists)..we only fund it so that we can get from point a to point b faster in our cars without old jalopies and priuses adding to the traffic. 😂
A time when government funding was still a thing and they didn't have to take from the fare box to pay for it, and when drugs weren't creating problems
Amazing, I had the episodes on VHS back in 1990, I recall seeing it on TV Ontario in the early 1990's. Very well done documentary, great find!
This is incredible thanks for sharing!
It's sad what toronto has become
When Toronto was Great!
Before Toronto 'Jumped the Shark.'

This is fascinating but have to admit I've also been looking at all the fashion from 1988. 😂
If only people knew what was to come 35 years later! What a nightmare!
"please laugh at my jokes" lol!
a more civilized time
A time when government funding was still a thing and they didn't have to take from the fare box to pay for it, and when drugs weren't creating problems
I've used the TTC thousands of times as a child in the mid 70's and then into early adulthood through the '90's. Today I would go nowhere near it.
WOW not one homeless person in this video and the passengers who actually pay their fares. What a shame that the system has gone down the toilet.
I wish I could go back in time wad buy some real estate in one of these areas lol
