I was diagnosed with MS 20 years ago and stopped walking 2 years ago but to watch one of my fave things I did just makes me well up with happy tears. The Djs were fire ^5 to them. The roller rinks closed down because during the 1980's era, Cocaine and Gang Banging and makingbmoney or smoking and strung out, replaced this activity and sentva lot of our people of color in the inner cities to either prison or gangs or addicts. Including celebrities too. That was a very ugly era. 😢
I’m in my 40s and picked it up in April. Go try it out during regular hours. If you think it may be for you, get some decent skates (Riedell boost or something similar) and keep going. Your own decent skates will make a world of difference.

I grew up in the 70’s in Michigan. I skated every Saturday (all 3 sessions). I loved it. I was good, I thought. I not sure the right way to say it but black people sure rock at the rink. I’m turn 58 this week and this looks like a blast!
