Then I thought surely this year's showcase right? Microsoft has that day one gamepass deal and the game showed up on the Microsoft store a few months ago. Plus it got rated in Australia a few months ago. Our only hope is the Nintendo direct now.

Turn-based combat makes no game better, cmv. When you play a turn-based game, you are playing it in spite of the combat system, not because of the combat system. We aren’t playing on trash systems or outdated engines anymore. We don’t need to rely on crutches to make combat work. It’s like the devs were making a fun game, then decided it was too fun, so they made it turn-based.
@Battered_Fanny beast mode is such an underrated game mode. Be nice to see it make a return. Maybe add the ability to play as some of the leader locust as well for the last tier like RAAM, Skorge, Karn, Saark, and maybe even Queen Myrrah.

Would have made more sense if Kate was Marcus's daughter and not JD, but then 5 would equally have made no sense. IDK, just my thoughts. Edit: 4 and 5 not 5 and 6 lol
@TheLongDon nah thats a pretty valid view point, but it's just, 4 was good, I liked the swing back to dark atmosphere of the unknown for the swarm, and I also really like JD but you're right on the money about why tf Kate was the featured MC of gears 5, I get it her mom was a dependant of Myrrah, so that connected them and all but there was no build up of that real potential in 4, so it just felt like 5 started AS a plot twist of some kind rather than leading us up to that throughout then dropping it on us, or since it's open world giving us clues and such as we completed missions for that info

As a Playstation fan since...well, PS1, the last time I owned any sort of Microsoft console was the 360. I have felt no need with my Playstation consoles and PC to get anything Xbox related. However, this showcase was top tier. I signed up for Gamepass. This is a total win for Microsoft. The fact that damn near every major release they showed is coming day one to Gamepass is insane. I literally already have pre-downloaded Call of Duty Black Ops 6. I haven't played a Call of Duty game for like...10 years. But the campaign interests me and the new movement innovations in multiplayer has my interest piqued. Doom? Hell Yes. Fable? Yes please. Gears of War Prequel? OMG YES. Stalker 2? I mean, the amount of top tier games coming to gamepass that I won't have to actually pay full price for is insane.

I didn't mind 4, I liked his son as a protagonist, the story was a little weak but I feel like they're trying to set up a deeper narrative with the entire game for future titles. 5 just fell flat on its face, especially featuring Kate, a random ass girlfriend, as the main character. Would have made more sense if Kate was Marcus's daughter and not JD, but then 5 would equally have made no sense. IDK, just my thoughts.

@TheLongDon nah thats a pretty valid view point, but it's just, 4 was good, I liked the swing back to dark atmosphere of the unknown for the swarm, and I also really like JD but you're right on the money about why tf Kate was the featured MC of gears 5, I get it her mom was a dependant of Myrrah, so that connected them and all but there was no build up of that real potential in 4, so it just felt like 5 started AS a plot twist of some kind rather than leading us up to that throughout then dropping it on us, or since it's open world giving us clues and such as we completed missions for that info

As a Playstation fan since...well, PS1, the last time I owned any sort of Microsoft console was the 360. I have felt no need with my Playstation consoles and PC to get anything Xbox related.
However, this showcase was top tier. I signed up for Gamepass. This is a total win for Microsoft. The fact that damn near every major release they showed is coming day one to Gamepass is insane. I literally already have pre-downloaded Call of Duty Black Ops 6. I haven't played a Call of Duty game for like...10 years. But the campaign interests me and the new movement innovations in multiplayer has my interest piqued. Doom? Hell Yes. Fable? Yes please. Gears of War Prequel? OMG YES. Stalker 2?
