Well, as a Turkish expat man, I found Anastasia 's well-observed analyses rather realistic. All cultures have pros and cons, so is Turkish culture.. Regarding "I love you" wording, surely there are true expressions, however, it is usually easier to say in an foreign language without' meaning it'.. I don't know where it originates.. Yes also, it is true that people live at ease there, although they live in very hard conditions..
‘There’s a place for everyone…’ love this quote you said, sums up my heart! I’m curious to go find it out there in the world, it’s not the UK where I’m from that’s for sure 😁✈️
This Belarusian/Turkish couple were in relationships with other people when they first met and started dating. That’s a huge red flag. On one hand, I understand that it’s natural to “trade up” for better love matches. On the other hand, this hypergamous, monkey-branching behavior is ruining modern day relationships. The rarest relationship to find today (which used to be the norm) is where two people commit for the long haul, weather the ups and downs, and don’t have unrealistic expectations of a permanent honeymoon phase. It will be interesting to interview this woman ten or twenty years from now and see if she’s still with the same guy. I personally wouldn’t want my girlfriend working and living abroad without me. I’d worry about her safety and situations exactly like this one. And as a condition of her work, I definitely would not want her living together with other men! This interview started off with numerous red flags for me. I’ve spent time in Turkey. I don’t see how non-Muslim women would voluntarily adopt that culture unless they had mental health issues. I say that honestly with no disrespect intended.
Like the video said, many Turkish man cheat a lot, Eastern European(or Slavic) women are seen as the most beautiful women ever(they have white skin, blonde/red hair and colorful eyes--aka the beauty standarts of women in Turkey), they sadly are fetishized a lot too(like how European/American man fethisize Southeast and Far-Eastern Asian women: submissive, hyper-sexual and exotic). So i'm not surprised that the man had a girlfriend before. Dating/marrying a Slavic women would bring a "status" to men, dating a Turkish woman would not. "I don’t see how non-Muslim women would voluntarily adopt that culture unless they had mental health issues. I say that honestly with no disrespect intended." For something said that with no disrespect intended, that sounds so rude and disrespectful lol but don't worry, the behaviour of Turkish man changes a lot from a Turkish woman to foreign women. They try to bring the best worlds to them(traditional and modern) and do everything for them but to Turkish women they either want them to pick one or bring the worst of both worlds!
Both of them were in relationships. Your misogyny is peaking through 😊 would you wanna be with a woman who's in love with another man? It's not fair to stay in such relationship. They broke up with their previous partners and stayed with each other. Which is a brave and mature decision. As in for cultural differences, I kinda agree that Turkish culture is very traditional but he was raised abroad and lived in different countries, he's probably cosmopolitan and worldly
So she had a boyfriend and met a British man of Turkish decent (born and raised in the UK) and had the hots for him, while he also had a girlfriend. This took place in Kazakhstan. How is she an expert of euro women travelling to turkey for love? She didn't do either.
The most of those marriages fail because of the end of the day girls from eastern europe that convert or dont stay in their culture are mostly not very conservative, they say that to hide their past to get better chances an portrey themselves as very loyal. In comparison to western eurpeans they are, but compared to turkey they arent. In turkey the most men like she said are real conservative and very family oriented. Eastern european arent so much like that. People always forget that socialsim and communisim have broken up a lot of conservative cultures and those values. The quote of single motherhood was very high and it still is. Eastern Europeans divorce way quicker than Turks. An other big reason why so many eastern european girls go out of their culture, is the result of socialsm and communism. Mostly they come from homes with a single mother, who told to them how bad eastern european man are because they drink and so on….. Its often the same narrative. Eastern european girl would divorce way quicker than a turkish or arab girl. Because culturally this is way more normal than in turkey.
It's tiring after a while to not be able to act with your usual body languages =stop to smile otherwise its taken for an invitation for sex. Little by little you become another person, looking down to the street not holding head up submitted kind of style. On top of that looking deeply in to someone's eyes can also be interpreted you shame someone or telling them something is wrong.
Hm. Seems presumptuous to say "forever" unless you are more committed than "you" were before. I use the word "you" to represent anyone person in general but here we all know who i'm referring to. Yes. I say presumptuous Why? Because "it's not over til it's over" and evidentally two hearts are still beating.

As a Turkish man, I don’t think foreign women are easy. But Turkish women are too difficult in comparison to foreign women, that they make foreign women look easy 😊I understand that there are culture related issues that may hold the Turkish girls back when / if they want to meet Turkish guys. Or that, some Turkish guys can be overly jealous, aggressive or possessive. Interestingly, Turkish girls make rules for Turkish guys, but break their own rules when they meet foreign men.
