I actually have fond memories of using the sea turtle to “river hop” around the southern coastal areas of the island when I was really new. I actually did get a decent amount of coastland travel with him… until he got eaten by a Megalodon, though he lasted long enough for me to get to the shore. I did consider bringing a few into the Tek Cave to send into the lava with a pheromone dart but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I get attached to my tames.
I totally agree with you about the Crystal Wyvern. Properly trained and levelled into hp, stamina, weight and a bit into melee damage and these things turn into deadly aerial attackers, scouts (they fly faster than the normal Wyverns) and decent weight bearers. Swoop over a ground based foe, spray in its vicinity with the breath then circle around and repeat.
For the tropical variant they are the masters of fighting if there is an ocean or river nearby. Include flying low enough for the wings to trail into the water on every loop and you get a constant hydration buff for the entire fight. I don’t know if this is actually true but to me the Ember variant seems to dish out the best damage of the three with its breath attack. And the blood variant is just something else, draining from the opponent with its breath. Hp I think but I haven’t had the Blood version for long yet so I’m still testing it out.
🤣 A bit like Frappa and the Carno, I just have such a strong affection for the Crystal Wyvern and I don’t understand why every ASE player doesn’t have one!
I love cats in real life so perhaps it’s not a surprise that I have a pack of Sabertooths with me although I use them along with another tame I think are overlooked or underrated…
The Raptor. I personally think they make excellent caving tames. Not while riding them as their weight is too small for that, but as bodyguards. I had such a better time hunting for Artifacts when I rode on a Baryonyx or terror bird (for making jumps easier to do) I would be escorted by three or four well trained raptors that were incredibly efficient at wiping out whole swarms of enemies.
And finally an honourable mention of the dimetrodon. Since I allow flyers in caves, a well trained flock of these would serve in the place of raptors when I flew on an Argy.
Yeah I’m a bit of an oddball but there is method to my madness. Of course it might just be down to my newness and I haven’t gotten far enough yet to get the good stuff like Shadowmanes.
Great video, watching your turtle reminds me of Phlingers underdog series, watching someone chug along on a turtle with increased speed is hilarious, i keep going back to watch it
Kapro is over looked as well, I use them for easy Spino tame
what does the kapro do that makes spino taming easier?
@@dancook2375 Drains Spino stamina, making it unable to run, forcing it to slowly walk, allowing you to kite Spino easily

Ive watched ark videos for a long time and no one mentions the mosasaur. Theres not even a single video of someone showing off the massive damage it does. Its all just whete to find it and how to tame it but no one mentions that it hits like 3000s.
Love the frog when we need paste ill go the frog and my friend on a bary (or if you have one pyromane) and we go to swamp. Just the front section alone is enough to get LOADED!! And make me need to ofload on the argi outside😂 I take the bugs and he deals with the spiders, snakes and artropluera's it works very well❤
I just go alone with my frog and slaughter everything and collect loads of paste. A 150 frog with a lot of pts pumped into it is a lot more powerful that it seems.

Team dimorphodon. Everyone who thought they could go against my flock got humbled real quick. They were friendly fights and I let them prepare beforehand.

Can’t answer for him but for me I prefer the vast amount of maps in ASE. As a fairly new player who has beaten the Island Beta Overseer and migrated to Crystal Isles I want to see as many maps as possible.
That being said I’ll be upgrading to a PS5 soon so in all honesty I’m probably gonna get ASA and play both. If I don’t play the Centre on ASE I can have fun with it in ASE. Plus I’m kinda interested in the Shasta because I’m a mobile base obsessive.
And honestly the Island takes a very long time to get through so it’ll be fun on ASA while I’m further on in ASE. And when those maps become available for ASA I can play them with the benefit of experience.
Plus I want to take a pack of Pyromanes through the Tek Cave. 😉 Twenty Pyromanes to clear the cave without having to worry about the lava, then bring the battle team through in a conga line.

@@mikoto7693 not bad plannen out. Honestly I never had the dlc maps till they were on sale right before asa came out. So for me there wasn't a big loss. I still need to do the story case i only played ragnarok and island on ase. And even then never got around to bossfights and tek. So for.me it's just continue where I left of but on a a better visual pleasing version 🙃🙂 follow the story, breed good creatures, defeat the bosses, get the binoculars, and then explore the other maps so I can learn slowly but not get drowned in a sea of new creatures and stuff.😄 but for those whom are familiar with the dlc maps on ase I can understand why they would want as many maps as possible before crossing over.

I find the baryonyx to be overrated. Its dps is horrendously bad and it cant turn for shit. Shadowmane you can literally go invisible and just sneak past all the sharks in the caves l
These are only underrated of you play pve these are pvp staples for the most part
