As an taxi driver here in norway, I have my eyes on electrik vehicles as we have to operate with them. My top to check out are Peugeot 5008e with 4wd(to come), vw id7 tourer, and the same price for now skoda enyaq, and the top for me xpeng g9.
Currently weighing up next family car between an ID.7 GTX Tourer with every option ticked or a base spec (smaller battery) A6 Avant e-tron or Q6 e-tron. Erring towards the wagons, and while the GTX has way more features and functionality, the looks and the slightly higher charging speed are luring me towards the A6! Any thoughts?
Wow, that e5008 would sell like hot cakes in Norway with AWD! I think it’s a good list you’ve put together. Love the ID.7 GTX, the seating position, the headlights.. It even has stalks! 😄 With a little more ground clearance and ruggedness, I think it would have challenged the Model Y in certain markets.
You are a good reviewer. Your observations are mostly appropriate. So the ID.7 is indeed a very good car for the money!
Can you tell what differences does enyaq l&k and vw id7 tourer gtx have and which on is better for family
Software questions on P3 and E-5008 aside, I certainly agree with ID7 and Macan being top5. I’d perhaps also swap A6 e-tron for Taycan… but, yeah, good and improving EVs, which is of course what we’ve been waiting for!
Please explain to me how a VW has a better infotainment system than Tesla? Before buying our second car, I test-drove the ID.7 Pro S because I wasn’t interested in an ugly station wagon. My choices were between the EQE 350+, ID.7 Pro S, and the Model 3 LR. After driving all three, I narrowed it down to Mercedes and Tesla. The reason I chose Tesla was due to Mercedes’ insanely overpriced annual service fee of 12,000 SEK, which I still can’t wrap my head around! (Lots of plastic for a hefty price as well.)
As for the ID.7, even fully equipped, it fell flat just 1 km into the test drive-mainly because of its terrible infotainment system and cameras that look worse than a Minecraft game still in its alpha stage. Just useless gimmicks with an expensive price tag. Sure, it has a bigger battery, but it still has the same range as a Tesla while costing more per kilometer.
Sometimes, I wonder why reviewers don’t take all these details into account.
watch my reivews of the ID.7 and watch my review on the Model 3 and Y. There I explain it in-depth
Comparing a Model 3 to an ID7 is ridiculous. The model 3 is way smaller, not suitable for families at all. The Model 3 also feels like it’s built by drunks in a backyard jumping around a bonfire and singing drunken songs, using the cheapest materials they can find. The build quality is simply not there with Teslas (believe me, I’ve had two Teslas myself). Also the service network and customer service is horrendous and the longevity of the vehicles outside of the warranty is non-existing. Steer way clear of Tesla, any other EV is a better choice.
@@rbkfan200 I second your opinion on the model 3, had the performance for 1.5 years, put 32k miles on it. The seats are comfortable, I liked the ability to perheat the car with the app but outside of being able to floor it in a straight line, the car felt over priced and I expected better handling and driving dynamics. Looking into buying a used Taycan 4S in the future once prices drop within my budget. Would love to get a Macan 4S or Turbo EV but at 100k plus its way out of my budget.
Tesla's infotainment is good, but putting everything in one screen when you could also have a display behind the steering wheel and an augmented reality HUD like you get in the ID.7 would make it a lot better. The current v5.0 infotainment in the ID.7 has nothing to do with the buggy infotainment VW introduced on the first ID.3.s en 4's.
@Kris I got you liked so much Polestar 3 and it is indeed very nice car but I think you underrated Lotus Eletre.
I was considering Polestar 3 but eventually went for Eletre. Much more fun to drive and own and 2024 has LIDARS compare to Polestar 3
I’m loving my ID.7 Tourer. It’s just so much better than my previous EV6 LR.
The ID.7 , is the seat position higher than a regular car? I now have a BMW 320e which is very low to get in...
@@dirkclaessens1152 In comparison to an ICE sedan or station, the seating position is al little higher. And because the seats are electrical adjustable you can't lower them as much as you could with manual adjustable seats. But for an EV, it's really good. I personally hate the typical SUV busdriver-position.
@@NunOYoBiznezz Thanks for your reply!!...The SUV busdriver-position is not needed but my BMW 320e with sport suspension is really low to get in and out (I'm getting old LOL)
There’s a car you’re not going to kick out of the garage, the Taycan Cross Tourismo Turbo S 😂. I get so many complaints about the acceleration of my Taycan 4S, I would be doomed in a Turbo S.
Just for your information because you are comparing the id7 GTX to a Model Y. Here in Switzerlend the ID7 GTX is nearly double the price of an MY. 83'000 CHF or nearly 90'000 Euros which is completly insane and the reason nobody is buying this car here.
just specced a Model Y LR and it came to 66k CHF and the ID.7 Tourer GTX came to 84K CHF. So not exactly double the price. You could easily get a 5k CHF discount at VW dealer closing the gap. So in reality the price difference is around 13k CHF. Yes, still big difference, but IMO worth every Swiss franc!
@ Just speced it too LR AWD + Enhanced Autopilot = 58k, its completly impossibke to spec a MY to 75k even if you take the Performance so i dont know what you are talking about.
@@KrisRifa Hoping the Juniper is a great car. The new M3 Hiland is very good out on the highway. Can't beat the leases.
@@BillB33525I wouldn’t wait for the Juniper. 1) Elon just went completely mad. 2) It has no stalks.
@@DeeNow He has done this before. He specs Tesla's with FSD in Europe and opt for the most expensive paint color so the price of the car skyrockes, and then try and argue the car is so expensive. Firstly he should only ad enhanced autopilot. Secondly, adding the expensive color proves his price arguments are thin as ice. This is why I unsubscribed, because even tough I would purchase something else than a Tesla myself, i think it’s bad journalism to paint a wrong picture about the price of the car just because he doesn’t like Tesla. They are brilliant cars.
Volkswagen ❤
So cool I am the first to see and comment 🤣
First!
Well, Telsa MYLR is 449k nok starting price vs 600k for the GTX touring 4WD, so around 25% more expensive is what makes it a deal breaker IMO.
The fully specced ID.7 GTX Tourer I tested in September was 610k NOK on the road including winter wheels vs 589k NOK for a MYLR with all options except 7 seats and full autopilot. So about 3,5% more before getting a discount at the VW dealer. So no, you're wrong.
@@KrisRifa Those are the prices in Denmark, and ID7 is not selling here at all, way too expensive, for a super boring car, no thanks
Following you since years but man... how you can compare a 80K euro car with a 45K one... Seems not a "organic" review, tbh
Someone has money to spare
This now is a VAG channel sad to see it
Maybe your positive VW review will help save the VW Company?😂
