  • Making a case for running two aquarium heaters in your tank for twice the protection. Plus my "unusual" use case based on unique form factor of the aggressively styled Hygger HG106.

    Acclimating the heater before turning it on would seem to be commonsense, yet I never thought of that. I watch your channel to look into to your tanks and yet I learn so much Aswell. It looks cool, and I think at that price range for all it does, It's a real deal. Thank you.

    I got a little Hygger wave maker for my first reef tank and it's an amazing little piece of kit.
    They have pretty solid quality and performance for the cost.

      Hygger is definitely the textbook definition of "bang for the buck."

    I got a similar heater from Hygger. Quite happy with it so far and I've been running it for a couple of months already

      Glad to hear it. I was thinking after my video that heaters do not have a grey area. They either work or they don’t. Expecting the former!

      It is certainly a different looking heater than anything else on the market.

    I have 5 ft 120 gallon I've been using the same 300 watt eheim heater since 2014 that to me is unbelievable 10 years. I have 2 of them they aren't the nicest looking heater or easiest to adjust but you can't argue with 10 years of use .

    Great review Steffan. I have recently purchased other similar hygger of type(digital) really liking these type of heaters. Using now on some tanks , have been considering replacing the standard glass tube heaters

    Nice!👍🏾 Have a 1000 w hygger on my stock pond , running about 7months, solidly built. Favorite part is the digital display made me feel sophisticated 😅

      LOL. Let me ask you a question. Have you ever found anything caught inside the grates of the heater?

    • @4everaquatics152
      @4everaquatics152 2 місяці тому

      @@LushSaltyAquariums the 1000 watt doesn’t have the grates

      Actually further look, I think we just have different models, not wattage

    is that not the part with the SAE in it?

    • @LushSaltyAquariums
      @LushSaltyAquariums  3 місяці тому

      Yup. There’s an SAE in there. I wondered about creatures getting stuck in the heater but went ahead anyway. Fingers crossed that this does not happen.
