I think I accidentally put the new thermostat in upside down. That little nub that's sticking out is at the bottom. Do you think this could cause problems? Also do you know what it's for? Thanks again for your work
You should always put the thermostat right way round for various reasons. I would take it out n put it right when round.

No you can not. It has to be high temperature silicone compatible to go on engine block.
All i needed was the thumb nail... I love UA-cam... I was done in 3 minutes flat.
It's easy .I just flush the whole antifreeze and put new terminal stat timing belt and water pump and I have 2 big back operations I work on all my car's since I was a kid. I don't trust micanics..
