The green of the plants pop against the beautiful white walls and wood textures in your home. I propagate and combine varieties too. I started with one Monstera and have propagated it into a jungle in my sunroom/home office. I love working from home surrounded by my plant babies, candles, pillows, and textures. Love this video and your sense of humor!
I have three varieties of Jade in my 100+ plant collection and I love them. I also have lots of different Pothos varieties. My plants make me very happy. Currently all of my plants are happy. One of my favorites A. Silver Dragon has given me seven new leaves in my care. I am glad that my M. Thai Constellation is a slower grower and is still a very young plant. It just put out its girst fenestrated leaf 😊.
Sarah, the jade plant is a stunning bonsai! Its windswept growth is much sought after by bonsai owners! Keep it in a small. container with trimmed roots and add an ornamental rock and enjoy that beauty. I’m looking forward to Part 2 of this series!
Thank you for this info! Excited to add more plants (I have one😊) Had to add, you have so many gorgeous plants Sarah!! What a fun video, too…your personality is awesome!💕
In my home the rule is survival of the fittest when it comes to plants. I’ll try them and if they can survive my minimal level of care then they get to stay! My most tolerant of neglect plant seems to be an angel wing begonia. I can’t seem to kill it or stop it from growing! I was glad to hear your thoughts on your fiddle leaf fig also. I avoided one for quite a long time because I had heard how finicky they were but finally gave in 3 years ago and mine is doing amazingly well!
I retired and filled my old desk with houseplants. Some are doing better than others, so may need to switch some out if my repotted plants don’t recover well. I have low light situation, but now have a plant light to supplement. Subscribed!
Houseplants are a HOT topic now and I cannot get enough of houseplants, books, magazine, videos, blogs etc. I am going to try a Hoya now.-your is gorgeous ! also REALLY like your wide planter choices, I have never seen them that wide before. I am a HUGE Michigan plant mom as well and my condo is fiiled with plants. I started out again with houseplants during COVID. I can make suggestion about a couple of GREAT (black) plant "grow light" floor lamps that I use in Michigan. I have tow of them. This style of grow light would look wonderful in your home as well.
Thanks for doing this video. It's exactly what I wanted to see - the name of your plants and info about them. I have mostly succulents - mainly allevera. I can't help myself, I too love starting new plants from most of my older plants. I have geranium plants in the garage in the winter where they are left unattended and dormant til spring then they go on the deck where they bloom twice as much as the few new ones I pick up at the store at the beginning of the season..
@@GraceInMySpace Right now we have single digit temps and ice & sleet covering the ground. Our garage is well insulated and has never gotten below freezing. We live in Oklahoma and have four seasons with mostly mild winters compared to Michigan. .I use to pull the geraniums up & hang them by the roots in the garage then plant them in the spring. Now I just leave them in the pots then snip off what's brown. There is one bright red bloom and no green hardly left but they are still alive.
Peace Lilly! Mine would like a little more light but it’s so forgiving if I mess up the watering. It droops and tells me it’s unhappy, I change course- and it gets happy in a day or two 👍
I had a lovely pothos that almost died. I think the location was too drafty but I don't really know. There's 2 small leaves left that are hanging in there, lol! BTW I do have a green thumb. Looking forward to your next video
I also had no love for snakeplants until I met 'Moonshine' sanseveria (snakeplant)...it is absolutely gorgeous but it super easy to care for, just like the others I have a 'Marble Queen' pathos that is a beautiful variety but a dream to take care of...I do really well with any plant that can survive some benign neglect 😆
I’ve always pronounced pathos just like you. I have several and have rooted cuttings and gifted them to many people. Also have a cactus, spider plant and several aloe and peace plants.
You are now my plant hero 😂 my great victory is my first pothos propagation last week. I’m excited to hear more about your staghorn because mine is looking a little sad. I repotted him and that was most likely a wrong choice 😢
@@GraceInMySpace it was just a high quality general potting soil. I use the same one for all my plants. Should I use something different? I know sometimes they’re mounted, but I’m not sure I can tackle that.
I like plants but I have the worst house for plants. My house faces the north and I have no windows where I can place plants. I don’t even have a kitchen window, only have a French door. It’s a 70s house so it’s very hard to have plants. You have some beautiful plants.
I rescued a bonsai, no idea what kind as the identity card was missing from Lowes clearance. Brought that baby right back to life and it's name is Midge. I'm having issues with pots for my birds nest Fern because I just plopped it in a bowl that doesn't have drainage. I've also killed a cactus.
I inherited a rubber tree plant from my late grandmother. She was green from head to toe. I didn't inherit that. I have the gift of killing cacti so I figure a rubber tree plant had no chance. This poor plant has been sitting in a moody, dim house and plucked and beaten and chewed on by my kids and dog and it still puts out new leaves like it doesn't have trust issues. I've learned a lot from this plant.

Oh I love that! Monsteras are so easy to propagate 🙌🏻
Beautiful home, beautiful plants.....and you have a great personality! Your made for the screen !
So nice of you! Thank you!

The Jade plant is beautiful. I love how it has grown off to the side, it’s interesting to the eye. 👏🏼👏🏼
I love it!

Haha I love that! Great motto to live by for plants!
I Love live plants!🌱 Thanks for the tips!👌🏻 Now I know what to go buy.👏🏻
You are so welcome!
Fun video and what gorgeous plants you have! Very enjoyable to watch. Many thanks. Take care! 👌🪴🥰
Thanks so much! 😊

I’m glad the video was helpful!
love this video, thanks for making it! Looking forward to part two😀
Yay! Thank you!
I think spider plants are easy and also good for sharing!
Yes! A great option!
That is surprisingly a plant that I struggle to grow. Who knew.
Great info and looking forward to seeing part two. Love plants and only have a few presently.
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
YES!!!! I was hoping for this video 😊
Hope you enjoyed it!

Yes please share! Grow lights are definitely needed in Michigan ☁️
Literally laughed the whole video! Definitely subscribed
Glad to have you here!

Wow! I’m so curious, how severe are your winters? I wonder if I could do that 😁

Sometimes that happens! Rip pothos 😉
Yay! Thank you for the video.

Haha benign neglect 😆 I love it! Marble Queen is one of my faves!

Sounds so lovely!
You have the best personality! Beautiful home and plants!
Wow, thank you!🤗
Thank you for part 1… I think I might have green thumb potential…look forward to part 2
Surely you do!! You’ve got this!
Thanks you very much appreciated it
You're welcome!
You are now my plant hero 😂 my great victory is my first pothos propagation last week. I’m excited to hear more about your staghorn because mine is looking a little sad. I repotted him and that was most likely a wrong choice 😢
Yay for propagation!! What kind of soil did you use for your staghorn?
@@GraceInMySpace it was just a high quality general potting soil. I use the same one for all my plants. Should I use something different? I know sometimes they’re mounted, but I’m not sure I can tackle that.
You have beautiful plants!…I live in the desert and the only indoor plants I have are pothos 😢I’ve killed three that didn’t like it here!
Try a snake plant! Or succulents would likely do well.

Snake plant, pothos and ZZ would do fine with north light! But that’s hard when it’s a door that you need access too. ❤️
Ok, so I am with you on the pronunciation of pothos as “pah-thos”. And I just heard Hilton Carter agree with us, so… 🤷🏼♀️😉
Haha we must be right!
💚
Pothos is so easy to propagate though! I know!!
Yes! The easiest!
I got my first ZZ in 2020 and I just rescued one from Lowe’s clearance. It’s my favorite plant. I cannot handle succulents. I can kill a cactus 😬
Haha I’ve struggled with succulents too. I think it’s too humid and cold in my region.
We call it "paw" thos too😂
Glad I’m not alone!😁
I find that African Violets also thrive on neglect.
They are so pretty!
I inherited a rubber tree plant from my late grandmother. She was green from head to toe. I didn't inherit that. I have the gift of killing cacti so I figure a rubber tree plant had no chance.

Like it doesn’t have any trust issues. 😆😆🫶🏻 That made me laugh.
I pray my rubber tree doesn't judge me for my lack of attention when it arrives tmrw.
