Hi all Wolf Lord Rho here!
Today we take a question that was asked during the Q&A... What do I think would happen if Malcador returned next, instead of another loyal Primarch?
General Lore Spoiler Warning as we will be discussing events from across the Warhammer 40,000 universe! So you have been warned!

@@eddiejohansson8040 dam.... 30 seconds for 3k for rho? You must be a piss poor excuse for a human. Maybe when he owes something you could lament?
Probably slap every inqusitor personally after he learned what they been doing last 10.000 years.
All right kids, I want everyone in a straight line, I shall teach ya a new technic one by one.
Maybe? Malcador is also one of the worst Dark Age warlords, who committed "great atrocities" during old night. He might not care, or even think the Inquisition is a little light on the trigger.
As evil and unecessary much of what the Inquisition does seems, most, if not indeed all, of it is absolutely necessary for the survival of the Imperium. Of course you can point to individual Inquisitors failing in their duties, and they should be reprimanded, but the Inquisition itself is absolutely vital to the Imperium..
He would play them like a piano.
It would be funny PSI pimp smack's and nose bleeds for everyone! Uncle Mal's here to line you kids out! Lol🤣
The ecclesiarch would literally shit themselves, hell if the high lords tried to kill Guillaman, then one can wonder what they would do if the Malcador the Hero returned
Yep, but you can also imagine what extents the loyalists and custodians would go to to protect Malcador.
@@frosty19901 if malcador returned, the custodes would probably execute the high lords before the order was even given. They'd know.
Spoiler:
Already did, loyalists remained.
@@Benthesniperof8 Agreed, Malcador was and still is the Emperor's bro for life
Makes you wonder if he could leverage his old position as Master of Assassins
His return might also include a stronger presence of the emperor, similar to when he was briefly possessed by him!
‘I am primarch of the Raven Guard, son of the Emperor,’ said Corax. ‘It is my right! Take me to the Emperor now, or I will find him myself.’
Dorn met his glare with a doubtful expression, his hand straying to the hilt of the chainsword at his hip in warning.
‘Enough! I will brook no dispute in my palace.’ Corax and Dorn looked at Malcador, who had spoken, though the voice was deep and resonant, unlike the whisper of the Sigillite. Malcador’s eyes shone with golden light, his face a mask of beatific happiness. His lips moved again, as though divorced from the rest of his body, and he held out a gnarled hand surrounded by a shimmering aura.
‘My Emperor?’ Dorn lowered to one knee and bowed his head. ‘I am sorry for causing conflict.’
‘Do you not share your brother’s shame?’ said the voice through Malcador’s flesh as the Sigillite’s golden eyes turned on the primarch of the Raven Guard.
‘My apologies, father,’ said Corax, dropping to one knee beside Dorn.
What book does this happen, sounds like an awesome scene.

Nice! good lore pull!
If big e was to pass instructions, Uncle would be the only one to be able to handle his unbridled power and be able to accurately pass it on. The chapter where papa smurf spoke to big e. He was hurt and stunned at how powerful he was and how he was treated as a tool. Uncle would be treated as a friend. A friend that could *actually help* him gtfo the throne....
He would hug guiliman, no jokes it fact he would hug him right away. Then help him lead the imperium, he most likely call out 40k emperor and knowing something not right. But first thing he would do is hug Guiliman, because he a good uncle.
That's definitely a hug Robby G could do with right now
Oh 100% if guilleman got god tier depression from the seeing the state of the imperium I can’t even imagine how malcador feels. Seeing guilleman, one of the most loyal, reasonable and adaptable primarchs trying his hardest to keep the imperium alive would give him hope, and no small amount of relief that he doesn’t have to do this shit alone. I imagine seeing malcador would make guilleman feel the same way. It’s a hug that’s half “I thought you were gone forever. I missed you” and half “thank fuck I don’t have to run this shit show of an empire alone anymore”
*Malcador Returns*
*he pauses and sighs*
*turns the throne on & off again*
*far far off in the darkest edges of the maelstrom... you hear a chaotic whimper*
"Was that so hard?!"
That’s some text to speech level memery
I'll return once Wolf Lord Rho gets 100k subscribes.
Big fan.
oh my lord... i will get the companions and the legio to subscribe right away
@wolflordrho needs a million, just like uncle baldy
I love the idea of Gulliman finding some outcast psyker on some unsuspecting world (similar to the whole “Old Ben Kenobi thing in A New Hope) and it turns out to be Malcador
Malcador after Guilliman sent out the ultramarines to find him: Well of course I know him. He’s me.
Now. One interaction that would be interesting. Malcador and Belisarius Cawl
Now that would be very interesting. Overall I think Malcador would see Belisarius' work as necessary, and perhaps even a level of respect would grow.
I totally see Uncle being all hard ass. Then when its at the break point, laughing and saying well done. “What else do expect to do next to build upon what you have done?? Let me tell you what i had In mind...”.
Oh yes! That would be a cool short story
Probably be some around around what Gulliman feels about the current state of technology. Impressed, yet at the same time sorely disappointed.
What makes you think I am not already working on his restoration?
I think this would be the worst fear for every Lord of Terra: I could already hear Papa Smurf "you can tell this to Malcador himself and he's not as forgiving as I am"...
God I love malcy
"I hope so, high lord, for your sake. The regent is not as forgiving as I am."
Malcador would be a final missing piece for the imperium. It's conscience.
It would be interesting to see Malcador and Celestine have words. Now that would be interesting.
Why?
@@Ally.Cat.252

And backed it up with making clear he held the life of Horus at his whim. A most badass moment.
It's spelled Horus, not Horace.
Head Librarian
thank you
I might just start referring to him as Horace now, I kinda like that 😂
@@RenegadeMaster137
*FUCKING HORACE!!!*
We need to also remember that Malcador was also the first Master of Assassins. He would also be able to bring the forces of the Scholastica Psychana to bear directly too. He would wield tremendous power as a politician, Psyker, and hangman.
Don't forget that, aside from being First Lord of Terra, he was also Grandmaster of Assassins. That would be quite interesting.
Now I’m imagining the high lords planning to assassinate him at some council meeting but Malcador has already gotten the entire assassin house to shoot the high lords who wanted them dead and then scaring the shit out of whoever remains.
He is playing chess with Leman in the webway. Joke aside, I think my wolf king is searching for Malcador s soul before chaos finds it and consumes it and Magnus knows and want to consume it for himself so he can be the greatest psyker in all the galaxy that ever existed in both immaterium and materium, but he needs Leman to guide him to it.
That is an interesting theory. But even if it is true, I don't think that Magnus is stupid enough to believe that Tzeench would not take it for himself
@@aleksandrzhilkin826 Exactly. Tzeench would not allow it, he would consume it for himself too. he would not allow one of his puppet to do it. But maybe Magnus is arrogant enough to engage himself on the pass to godhood. Magnus is no fool of course but I think he seeks that power deep down. that s his vengeance, not toward tzeench, but toward the emperor who sought godhood too. like "look what I achieved, father, while you re still rotting on your throne." It s my bullshit theory but I kinda like it.
As much as I'd love Malcador to return I think it would make his sacrifice for his friend, his Emperor and his Imperium less worthy. Having said that, if he was to make an appearance, perhaps as an embodiment of a 'shard' of the Emperor's soul, that would be awesone
True but i think he would still slap an inquisitor or gery knight like nothing
I’d love to see malcador return in the flesh but there’s only one way to do with without ruining his sacrifice, and that’s have the emperor revive him after gets off the throne.
Well no could be that the old ones felt their was a way to fix the shitty galaxy, at that was by letting the emperor do his thing so first they bring Malcador back so he can sort out the shitty galaxy, a man who is tormented by dying but driven by duty
Less worthy? What?
@@javiervalenzuela8284 Why wouldn't it make Malcadors sacrifice less worthy?
Mal gave his life essence his last bit to his lord. And now dwells with the Emporer. If the Emporer lives ..so does Mal. He will return.
Could a powerful enough Psyker possibly just.. rip Malcador's soul out of the Emperor? Boom the moment his soul is out, his perpetual..ness will revive his body and mind too.
Malcador: You're not too big to go over my knee, young man.
Where was this written? What short story or novel?
The Last Council by Laurie Goulding
It is a bad ass read. You get the feel** that Uncle could and would erase horus right now and if jaghatai and Alpharius intervened, he would end them too. It is truly an epik af moment. Just as the bitchslap from lorgar and getting up...dusting himself off and. Being all “now u done fucked up boi...”. The only thing greater was when he took the chair. He manned that shit like a boss.

"Hey dad! You'll never guess who I found under your golden recliner!" - Guiliman
He would die of a heart attack from hearing what happened to his friends Secular Imperium
My Primarch has enough trouble on his plate. The return of the Hero will ease his mind. But alas that is unlikely
I've never liked how people talk about Malcador's psyker abilities being below Magnus. I think Malcador was 2nd only to The Emperor. Yes The Golden Throne burned out Malcador and Magnus was intended to sit on the throne but there is a very simple reason for this. Malcador was a human, the 2nd most powerful psyker but still had a human body. The throne destroyed Malcador because of his human body not being able to withstand it for very long. Magnus is a Primarch created by The Emperor for the specific purpose of sitting the throne and Magnus has the nearly indestructible body of a Primarch. If The Emperor had ever been able to transfer Malcador into a Primarch body.... Magnus would have been obsolete immediately.
As cool as it would initially seem, bringing him back would be a bad idea, just as it is the case with Sanguinius. His sacrifice needs to be untainted by such options.
i painfully agree even though Malcador is so goddamn cool.
I agree but disagree. I would love to see some final message left behind by malcador though. Some final plan that may even outshine any the emperor left behind.
GW cares more about money though.
You forgot that the Emperor personally renamed him from Malcador the Sigilite to Malcador the Hero. If Malcador did return then in a way the Emperor would walk amongst man again or could aid in a way to restore the Emperor to his former glory.
Live a Sigilite, Die a hero, return a Legend.

He would come back and treat the people of the imperium like Jesus did when he picked up that whip and chair.
Like a lion tamer?
@@Liethen oh, he'll tame a lion aright.
I thought his soul has already been drained dry by the golden throne.
Maybe its still in there
Firstly, his soul would be apart of Big E’s. Technically, it would still be alive. Just without a body. Secondly, there are theories that Malcador is a perpetual. Basically, he can’t die and even if disintegrated, his atoms would reform elsewhere. At that point, it is a question of could his soul rejoin with his body.
I'm of a mind that if Malcador did return it would be quite a long time before he made his presence known to anyone besides the Emperor. What comes after would depend on what he encountered when reaching out to him. That being said, his general overview of the Imperium would probably go something like "Yep, we knew this was a possibility." XD
I can see it happening like this. The Lords of Terra are bickering and Malcador barges in. His mere presence alone forces the 12 to kneel in both fear and awe. Before them is the Regent of Terra, clad as told in the stories of ancient days, brown robe and holding the staff symbolizes his office. Malcador speaks with authority and rage. The Lords cower before him as they are rebuffed and broken. Turning to the Head of the Ecclisarcy, his eyes brimming with disdain similar to a father scolding a child he calls its mere existence the greatest failure of man. Upon that mere statement the Head of the Ecclesiarchy demands to know what does Malcador know!?
Malcador turned to challenge that slight. His eyes burned with white electricity as the room became cold and heavy. The man was forced to his knees with a weight that would break his back. Unable to look up, the man hears the booming voice of the one known as the Regent of Terra.
"You ask what do I know boy!? I saw the horrors and gore of Old Night as it ripped Terra apart. Unchecked hordes and mutants ran painting the landscape with the blood of countless lives in pursuit of vile pleasures. I saw the end to it at the Unification Wars where a dream was to built. A united humanity! A chance for progress and elevation of our species beyond what your feeble kind would deny! I saw the unification of the Assassins Guild! I helped broker the Treaty of Mars where and saw our dream take flight!! I saw the Emperor, my friend, looking with pride and hope as the first fleets left Terra!! I stood and advice all of his sons both Fallen and Loyal! I remember Horus as our greatest light and saw witness to him being the Warmaster! When his betrayal became know I saw the Emperor not as God but as broken father. Disturbed and hurt that his most beloved son who betray him as such! I led the Imperium throughout the Hersey! I oversaw countless missions with stakes higher than any mortal could understand!! I was at the birth of the Inquisition! I chose the founders of that group! I laid the foundations for the Grey Knights so that my friends last gift would stand for the species he failed!! I took my place on the Golden Throne and witness the hordes that wait beyond the vail of this reality!! I was ripped, pulled and broken into pieces by beings powerful to destroy our world with but a snap of a finger!! I have witnessed all of that and you ask what I know boy!?"
He's probably take over the Offcio Assassinorum and the Inquisition and work alongside Guilliman as he tries to remedy the Imperium's history, laws, religion and hell even the history of everything involving the Unification Wars, the Great Crusde and the Horus Heresy
Through some of his agents I would imagine he would try to get an exact idea of something resembling a reliable timeline of things
As for his reaction to things, he'd probably be reminded of pre unification war Terra just a little more structured under the Imperium but not like what the Emperor wanted and envisaged
Rho rho rho your boat, gently down the stream, through the blood through the skulls life is but a scream

Malcador is such a badass. He would be an immense help to Gulliman and exactly what the complacent, shitty bureaucracy needs as a kick in the posterior. But most of all, I would imagine Malcador waging a cold and then increasingly open war against the Ecclesiarchy.
Would be a fun read, Malcador subtly dismantling and undermining the power of Church and High lords, in the face of their plans to get rid of him
Yes but even Malcador would respect the bolter bitches.
@@planetoftheweek They would probably side with him as more of the ecclesiarchs' BS is revealed.
For the longest time, I was convinced that the Emperor was just a psychic construct of Mal's, as he knew he'd need a charismatic figurehead to run the Imperium...

just a thought..could malcy have won Horus instead of the Emperor?I mean...the only reason the Emperor is crippled is because he held back..but malcy was the pragmatic and superstrong..just a thought..
I always got the impression that only the Emperor was capable of beating the chaos enhanced Horus.
@@T-1001 you’re probably right, but if malcador had complete control over how to go about making sure Horus never got to Terra to begin with, he might be more on board with Russ trying to take Horus out. Malcador did think that Horus was too powerful for Russ to beat, but he knew about the emperors spear, so in my mind it was because Russ never actually wanted to KILL Horus. He would if he needed to(theoretically) but the mission Leman planned was to STOP Horus.
I can imagine malcador being like:
“Russ, find your brothers Corvus, and Vulkan and bring them back to terra. I will be equipping the three of you with the weapons and armor needed to take out Horus”
fast forward a little bit, and the three primarchs are all decked out in new, improved and VERY advanced armor forged by Vulkan in the emperors forge, guided by the emperor himself. The plan is to send Leman and his wolves, seemingly alone, to face Horus. His role is to fight Horus 1 on 1 and hopefully, clutch it up and take him out. Corvus is to stay in the shadows, unseen and undetected by any means necessary. His role is to be a trap triggered by either Horus gaining the upper hand and winning the fight or Leman being unable to kill his brother, taking the head of Horus from the Shadows. Russ may hesitate, Corvus has already shown he will not.
Vulkan will play a more passive role, given he is not the one to count on if you want to see Horus’ head role. He and a fleet of imperial ships will trail behind the wolves and will have 1 of 2 purposes, either extract Russ, Corvus and Horus’ body, or, should the worst happen and both primarchs fail, to let loose on Horus’ flagship with spicy dark age tech taken directly from the dungeons on terra.
One way or another, Horus will die. Malcador and emperor have already established they can bring a primarch back without their body(Ferrus, the emperor says he should do something about his death, implying he could reverse it despite Ferrus being not but a skull now) so Russ and Corvus will eventually be remade, and their sacrifice will he honored for eons
He’d furious with how divided it has become for sure. He wouldn’t have the same furious reaction dawn or Jaghatai might have. But it’d be a fury born of disappointment
It would be the first step on the return of The Emperor. As Malcador could bring knowledge from the pinnacle of Human history to restore The Emperor to walk amongst his people. Once again.
Uncle knows of all the high tech that is lost..he could repair the golden throne and get big e off that mfker...if not that, he has full knowledge of the unification era and that of what was before. He would be a full knowledge-walking stc.....
What IF Malcador returned:
In one way or another Malcador put in motion all the events that gave shape to this future.
Covertly, He gave the push for the adeptus mechanicus, that pretty much gave Mars the right to control technology on Terra.
He was sympathizer of the cult of the emperor, and that ended in the ecclesiarchy.
He pretty much set the inquisition on the path.
And He wanted humans to "rule" (He still preferred his friends), not the primarchs.
He placed the pieces on the board. the only thing that he did not foresee, was lack of leadership. All his works depended on the emperor remaining as a figure at the front of the empire.
First He would be devastated by what happened to his friend.
Then He would be sick of the state of the empire.
Then clean the house, and restore a semblance of order.
Then Plot again for the future.
- well in the case of the cult to the emperor, Malcador thru some indirect remarks, that He liked the idea of the emperor being worshiped as a God. Even insinuating that to the Emperor.
And let's face it, if He would not have wanted this to happen, (and probably foresaw this) He would have left very specific instructions for the newly formed Inquisition (or whatever the human liaisons he left for the Grey knights ) to watch out and prevent this. but he didn't.
-But make no mistake, Malcador was a warlord, and one that really believed the vision of the emperor. He did not gave his life on the throne so future generations would squander that. He gave it, so his friend had a shot at ending the conflict and continue his vision. and finding a mockery of the empire his friend built... first day back and you can bet half of the noble households on Terra would have one accident at least.
-As for Guilliman I think he would welcome his uncle with open arms, and seeing how his plans revolved around a figurehead. Guilliman would be perfect for some order.
-I think he would REALLY dislike Crawl. it has too many pieces on his side of the board. An you can bet there would be some frictions between them.
-He would/should be able to communicate with the emperor, and probably would have set plans in motion to heal him and remove him from the throne at last.
Hardly a sympathiser...
@@kelman727 well, He knew of them years before Horus reached the solar system, and did not prosecute them.
Amon kept trying to hunt and dissolve the imperial cult. and Malcador would not let him XD
He also gave the order not to actively prosecute the believers during the siege, to persevere the manpower. . .
but when he stepped in the golden throne... he didn't leave instructions to his men. Nor he lifted the veto to the custodes to prosecute them after the siege had ended.
Hardly their antagonist don't you think? XD
You really think that Mal would not help the Emperor immediately? I bet he would figure out how to help him regenerate and gtfo that throne eventually...even if it took another 10,000* years.
A little "force choke" for more than Gulliman. I find this abundance of faith disturbing.

@@kelman727 is it not possible that his soul is preserved within the golden throne? Maybe he's the only the Emperor has spoken to before guilliman returned

I like the idea that malkador is just a shaman who has been reincarnating for the past 50,000 years watching the emperors back so him reincarnating again is a possibility.
Malcador is the Loyalist Version of Lorgar.
Malcador, being a Perpetual, comes back to life: "Ahhhh. After 10 000 years I'm free! It's time to.conquer Earth!"
Oh no... he had fallen for the meme that is Raid: Shadow Legends sponsorship.
Malcador together with Guilliman and Cawl?
A lot would get turned around REAL fast. Malcador might even be able to fill in some gaps of Cawl's memory.
I think this would be far more interesting from a story telling perspective than any of the loyalist primarchs returning
Turns out Malcador and Emps have been playing card games in the depths of the palace the entire time.
What book was being referred to when Malcador shut down the 3 primarchs?
Its one of the Horus Heresy books, he bitch slaps Horus across the room, the Kharn and Alpharius are witnesses to the altercation!

me being a Grey Knight player, would absolutely love this. he would definitely take full control of terra and straighten things out. also, don't forget he'd be coming to a world where his Inquisition is already rooted in almost all affairs of the imperium making it easier for him to not only control terra, but probably the Imperium as a whole
He would also be very pissed about the shit the grey knights have done, nothing like what they were meant to be. For example that whole months of shame stuffs
@@clockworkpanda8not entirely. they do what he created them for, to fight against the demonic threat. malcador is a very calculating man. to him, sacrificing an entire world to halt a demonic corruption, would be like severing an arm to stop a disease.

I for one absolutely agree that I what to see malcador return to life and helping roboute guilliman also cleansing all the ciropshion on terra.

Lets not forget how Malacador was killing a non chaos Horus at ease until the Khan pleaded Malacador to stop.
I could see Malcador force choking the shit out of the High Lords and leaders of the Inquisition for bastardizing the Emperor's vision so badly
Wolf lord rho, major kill, boldemort and a border prince are the top tier loremarchs for me. Each has there own important role so not sure how to decide the best. I think heads would roll in both secret and in the open until Terra was stable once more
I think malcador would be disappointed in raid shadow Legends
The only witness to Malcador's death was Rogal Dorn, who is missing-premused-dead himself. Uncle Malcolm is totally alive.
Wolf Lord! Would a week long special about the loyal legionaries of the traitor legions be a possibility? Garviel Loken, Nathaniel Garro, Saul Tarvitz, Barabas Dantioch, Barthusa Narek, Fel Zharost, and so many other names of loyal sons that have great stories.
He would probably melt all the high lords and have the Black Templars and Sisters of Battle go on a joint crusade purging most of the Inquisition and Eccesiarchy if we are being honest. They're the ones fucking stuff up after all.
his essence has been drained by the Golden Throne if i'm not mistaken. He is far beyond any kind of resurrection at this point...
Congrats on getting sponsors!
His return could easily be as impactful as a hypothetical return of Dorn.
as a kid, I think 80% of arguments were 40k what-ifs
Malcador was a perpetual but gave his essence to heal the Emperor. If the Emperor is a chaos hod then he could bring back Malcador in the way a chaos God creates a daemon prince. Malcador as a creature of the immaterial could be done well & be terrifying.
You know, as much as I despite Malcador, I admit, he's exactly what Terra needs right now, what the Imperium needs at the head of its leadership. It would be satisfying to see him whip the leadership into shape.
Also, if Malcador is a Perpetual, coming back from disintegrating would be childs play.
His soul was practically destroyed that can permanently kill a perpetual
Honestly my favorite lore is always with big e and Malcador, I wish they’d do more lore on the early days or bring them back
If he returns it should be in a young powerful human psyker discovered by Kaldor Draigo. Who could feel the essence of Malcador's power inside the 18 year old man. He trained him with the Grey Knights in both combat and tactics. Which all seem to come natural to him. Then Kaldor 3 years later requested to bring the young man before the Emperor. After some delays his audience was accepted.
The young man standing in the throne room looked at the Emperor and placed his hand on the Golden Throne. He suddenly goes stiff and shook a bit as all of Malcador memories and power flooded back in aaaannnddd *"I'm Back Baby!"*
Imagine Malcador's face when he sees what the Administratum and Inquisition have been doing for 10k years. His beautiful bureaucracy sullied soooo badly..
Just the thought of Hope's right hand coming back....got me pumped!!
Once the Horus Heresy volumes are concluded, perhaps it will be time for another great and terrible conflict to arise in the galaxy. One that will demand the need of all loyal primarchs, that yet live, to return to the frey. And perhaps, even a certain Sigilite may return from beyond the veil to give himself to the cause once more.
This would literally be the best thing I can imagine for Warhammer 40K and definitely the best hope for the Imperium.
.
As for what would happen, well, the current High Lords haven't been around long enough to actually know Malcador. Unfortunately for them, with Guilliman certainly handing over recency of the Imperium to Malcador the High Lords would likely see this as their chance to retake power and try s okmwthing sneaky....
And we all know how that would turn out. Malcador would have them all utterly wiped out.
.
The Ecclisiarchy would be an interesting one and I feel like Malcador would likely manipulate them into being a tool for him to use while slowly influencing it to be less zealous and more reasonable - after all, the Emperor IS a God now and that would be something that Malcador would have to come to terms with. In fact, I think a lot of his actions regarding the Ecclisiarch beyond the aforementioned manipulation would very much depend on how his inevitable conversation with the Emperor went.
.
The Inquisition would probably be the thing he is most disgusted with considering it's a gross perversion of his original idea and he'd almost certainly spend a great amount of effort cleansing it out and whipping what remained back into the shape it was supposed to be - even if he had to kill off half of it to do so.
.
The Grey Knights I'm sure he would be mostly happy with (although the fact they were pandering to a corrupt Inquisition and going against Roboute in the process - as well as things like the months of shame having occurring probably wouldn't be something he would be too happy about).
.
I think he'd be pretty happy with the Assassin's Guilds as well since rhey hage been basocally fulfilling their designated role pretty well for thr last 10,000 years.
.
Outside of that, he would likely cleanse Terra of anything even remotely hinting of corruption, stabilise the surrounding systems and re-establish/reinforce a such administrations and political channels/systems as possible to better aid Guilliman and the military in general as they work to reunite and rebuild the Imperium and galaxy at large.
.
Overall, I would LOVE to see his return - even if they had to cheese it in via the Emperor's divine intervention - and would happily empty my pockets to buy any and all related material. Having said tha tg I really think that his return would have such a profound positive effect on the current situation for the Imperium that:
1) GW might not do it just for the fact that he would solve too many problems or;
2) They would mess up his beyond epic character and royally piss off practically the entire fan base by not doing Malcador justice.
Because it could be the BEST thing for the Imperium, then we know for certain it will not happen.
What if the sensei were actually a reforming Malcador that the Inquisition destroy because they don't want to lose their positions of power should he return?
No game has ever spent more money on UA-cam marketing than Raid: Shadow Legends.
The lords of Terra thought it was bad when Guilliman put them in their place, Malcador would clean their clocks like nothing else!
Malcador set the ways of the imperum if he returned he would change them accordingly almost as good as emperor himself could. Although i think he wouldnt be accepted as mucha s gulliman by the high council, but soon they would learn of his true power and wisdom
Fanfic idea what if malcador had accompanied russ and the rout to prospero much like he did with guilliman and the 13th to monarchia. He would be able to tell that Horus had altered the orders and maybe prevented the 1000 sons from being turned traitor
Malcador when see the Emperor:
look how they massacred my boy
I honestly feel like Malcador returning would be a massive turning point for the Imperium. Heck, I think the Imperium needs a "Malcador" right now more than another Primarch. Bobby G is a master statesmen but Malcador was a sage beyond compare. The Imperium needs intelligence and wisdom at the helm now more than another warlord to add to the army. Especially because Bobby and Cawl are trying to reintroduce innovation and analytical problem solving back to the Imperium again. I feel like Malcador would back and even advance that play effectively.
If he did come back that brings the question of the tabletop up. In that situation should he also be added to the game and if so which part of the Imperium. I kinda feel like he would be a Grand Marshal of the Inquisition, likely forcing the Inquisitors to line up behind him. You can put him at the head of Deathwatch or Grey Knights and they should make Inquisitorial troops units for him.... Sorry daydreaming a proper Inquisition tabletop army lol
The Big E would love to have his bro-for-life back
If GW reveal him as a perpetual then it is obviously possible. The key would then be how GW would tell such a story....this could be another saga.
From my perspective,
what happens to a powerful perpetual in between when they die and when they return?
We got introduce to the Big-E's wife who is the genetic mother to the Primarchs in the Sol Wars I think so this could be a way to flesh things out by involving existing perpetuals.
Maybe being a perpetual involves ancient Xenos technology or warp tech that these people found or where given access to and Malchdor's essence gets trapped somehow or something goes wrong due to the chaos gods....most likely Zynch -who puts the spanner in the works of the Big-E and Malcadors plans for him to be reborn.
The B-E then requests help from the band of existing perpetual to rescue Malcador from the warp/chaos.
Thus we are on a wild adventure that can open some exciting stories involving new characters where we as reader can explore the warp, Xenos plants and creatures both good and bad and indifferent as well as snippets of real space and time.
When the story zips back into real space and time it can reconnect with key points on the GW timeline that we know about or we do not know about so new stories and or timelines and events to come where GW can give us a sneak peek since the warp can take things anywhere and to anytime.
I think this would be amazing....at the end of a huge saga, the band of perpetual friends get Malcado back and his essence goes through the process that he and the Big-E planned and Malcadore gets reborn...not as he was but a new.
He will not be recognised and not be a powerful psychic. His powers will grow and he can become schooled in the ways and thus we get to see the journey of a powerful psychic.
So a new story begins and Malcador takes a new route to become regent by making his way up the greasy poll of power structures in Terra and on Mars and the Moon.
This is a different type of adventure to deal with power, politics, sceaming and plotting and back stabbing and murder or plots within plots and lust and desire and rampant sex and cultists until Malcador climbs up to the top to become regent and then exposes that he is indeed the Malcadore of old.
Why because he needs to understand the world again and he does so in the way he knows how to do it, old school styli, by testing himself to see if he is worthy of being the regent once again in this new imperium since a lot has changed but some things have not 😮😁
Sounds fun, but I would rather see Jaghatai. If you weigh the pros vs Khans, you might agree( plus an awesome new model)
If Imperium was capable to form a close alliance with Eldar, Tau and to some extent Orks. It would be a much more interesting discussion.
I would say the elder is the most likely, then the Farsight enclaves
