I think the Euclidian sequencer can be a great starter to get ideas going. Once you're happy with the sequence, just FUNC + EUC to switch off the euclidian sequencer and turn your sequence into 'real' trigs.
OHhh didn't know this ! We ned peeps like you in the Discord with precise info like this - i'm losing track of who's actually a member, if you're not - here's an invite: discord.gg/xj8J2xJuBP

@@LiamKillen Yeah, I'll do that. I know you're a drummer so you bring that perspective to electronic drums. Been digging into my digitone finally and I'm hooked. My DT2 will be here today so this video is money. Let's see some Digitakt Digitone videos as well. Congrats on the upcoming Rtym, that thing's a beast!

Sometimes when you’re realtime changing locks, the filter or envelope it sounds like if the #Digitakt sequencer slows down a bit. For example with the kick around 04:30 and the hats around 05:23 and 06:06. Maybe it’s the video, but it’s noticeable… strange 🤷🏼♂️

Great video and the way I like to compile grooves as well but not you your level of expertise. Have had most of the Elektron boxes and now just holding onto the A4 which I love. But ita a bit to large for my workspace so considering the buying a D2 - those filters and effects on the D2 and 16 tracks I’m seriously considering. Stereo sampling to for my ears the D2 sounds better IMHO. So I’d have a Perkins, D2 and AH+FX. That will fit on the desk. I wasn’t a fan of the OG Digitakt just to my ears but the D2 sounds better to me - tell me if I’m wrong.
Make sure to check this set out if you haven't seen it. Someone in the comments was surprised she was using a DJ mixer, so I linked them to your Model 1 video: ua-cam.com/video/Wddn8h5qazc/v-deo.html

the og digitakt sounding different, for me better for drums. the mk2 is better for synth sounds, but og dt will be in many years a gold tool ,like monomaschine (full mono) great for vinyl tunes
Yeah I think it'll still have its charm and character years down the line. Much like the Octa OG to MK2 - lots of users are still using the OG. Would love to discuss it over in the Discord lol: discord.gg/xj8J2xJuBP

I'm curious, how is the digitakt for chromatic sequencing compared to the SP-404?
It’s more precise on every front as a sequencer

Dead reference?
Possibly a non intentional dead reference 🤔
@@LiamKillen Gotcha - Drums > Space is the centerpiece of grateful dead shows, or a bathroom break depending on who you are and what you're one
