Should they be thrown away? Giving mass produced vintage figurines a makeover SELL OR PITCH?

- After scoring a box full of these vintage figurines for pennies on the dollar, I gave them each a new look using only spray paint or craft paint.
In all, I used mostly spray paint and some craft paint. All can be found at your local home store or Walmart where I buy my paints. I even used some stone paint I found deep in my paint cabinet.
This idea came after knowing that if these items did not sell they may find themselves in the dumpster. Shoot, they still may find themselves in the dumpster but I did try my best to give them a shot at another life. Overall, I think each one looks better than it did, even if I don't LOVE them all ;)

Normally I paint tiny red bite marks on the vampires with a bit of fake blood dripping, but I forgot to do that in this video.

Hi Kathy! I just stumbled onto your channel. Glad I did! I love what you do here with these figurines. Have you seen Sharon of Cozy Junk Studios? I think you’d like her. She too gets figurines and gives them new life. And lots of other stuff. I’ve learned painting techniques from her that have been so good. Anyway, my favorites, bc I can’t just pick one are the stone couple, the blue and white lady, the black and white couple. And of course, the children with the apples. They’re a tad creepy. OMG!! I had no idea it'd gone up that much. I think I paid around 10ish bucks for this back then. I better use it sparingly LOL!

I was thinking about what I might do to "upcycle" these when inspiration hit. I think I would take a small hammer or something and gently break the figurines off the vases, then glue them and all the other figurines to the frame of a mirror. I'd cluster them heavily onto the frame and then paint them all one color. I think that would make a serious conversation piece! Or maybe glue them all to the sides of a vase and paint them one color, something along those lines.
Now that is an idea!!
I did consider using some clay and adding things, but I never thought about gently breaking them. Brilliant!
