Am a Nigerian also a student schooling in cotonou actually the exchangers didn't cheated you presently 1000 naria is equals 380 cfa😅😅😅 make e no shock you when you go to Ghana
Very sad, it is harder to travel within Africa than America, Asia, Europe……. How can we unite as one nation if we can’t fix simple things like free trade and movement within the continent??!!!?!!
You’re so right 😞 i’m born and raised in France but my roots are from Benin and i try to visit each year my family there! I was there in march and for the first time i was lucky enough to make the trip to Lagos (from cotonou) and what a adventure it was (both positive and negative) 😱 thanks god i choose the « cross country » company and with them you’re not directly harassed by all theses corrupt officers at the checkpoints but you see the corruption and that’s disgusting 😡 if you travel by yourself (car, public bus etc…) you gon’a lose all of your money or worst 🤦🏿 another point is the lack of road (both in number and quality) in many of our sub-saharan country : Cotonou - Lagos it’s only 118km … in the western world you do it in less than 2hours but here you do it in 3hours at best but it most of the time it’s 4/5hours because of the traffic or boarder situation 😏 we need to eradicate corruption, we need much more well paved roads, more transports (train/boat etc…) the list goes on !
