    My older brother lent me your book and along with the push from wife to get my license, probably helped save my life in 2020. Thanks for talking freely on the topic of mental health. Always enjoy your vlogs. Cheers.

      Thanks for that. Happy to have you onboard as part of the motorcycle (and UA-cam) community. I think riding has saved my life a few times. 😎

    Thanks for your candor! I as well go through those struggles as a solo adv guy. Get yourself a spot or Inreach its great having that as yet another safety device while soloing and your loved ones will appreciate it as well. A great saying I came across..... YOU are responsible for your own safety!

    another great video Jeremy. I marvel at the contrast between exposing your vulnerability in your honesty toward mental health issues while tackling remote riding challenges on a solo trip. Truly inspiring

      Thanks. I feel a bit overly vulnerable sometimes, but that’s my own doing. I’m already looking forward to the next ride, though. 😎

    Thanks for sharing Jeremy. It’s a hard thing to do and you did it with a lot of sensitivity. I appreciate your spontaneity and your openness. Would love to see the rest of the trip!!! 🙂 Take care and enjoy.

      It’s a big step to ask for help. And there’s a financial cost to it as well. I get why some can’t realistically reach out.

    It has been a crappy past couple of years & for most of us (myself included) our mental health has taken a battering. Getting out onto the back roads on my little bike has definately been a sanity saver. Beaut part of the world where you live.

    • @JeremyKroeker
      @JeremyKroeker  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback. Yes, it is a wonderful part of the world. It takes a bit of effort to get out to the places I love to camp, but the effort is fun, too. 😎

    Love the video. Sense of dread…check, intrusive worry…check. Thanks for sharing it makes the mental health talk more normal/normalized. On Monday/Tuesday I transited through Dutch/Atlas/Hartley/Quinn etc. I don’t know about you but once I’m on the road most of the worry evaporates. Motorcycle Therapy indeed!

    Hey Jeremy, I bought your book years ago at a bike show, from you personally in fact. I was of course too star-struck to say more than "thanks" lol. What a weiner. It was great BTW (can recommend, people). I have a certain amount of riding anxiety also - stemming from a crash that coincidentally broke my collar bone lol (which didn't seem to be all THAT bad), but here you say you're in therapy and struggling - and yet you're in the mountains riding, and my beautiful little new bike has yet to leave the pavement. It's barely been ridden to be honest. Maybe my anxiety is worse than I thought. Dang.
    I always appreciate your viewpoint, and I took a lot of food for thought from your writing. Yes, I would like to see more from your trip if you have the footage and the time. Cheers from next door, provincially speaking.

    • @JeremyKroeker
      @JeremyKroeker  Рік тому

      Thanks for the thoughtful message and kind words. Anxiety is a bummer. You’ll get your motorcycle out more (and possibly even off pavement) when the time is right, I’m sure. Until then, I hope you find joy in even the shortest rides. 😎

    Great video Jeremy!
    Really do enjoy your stuff.
    Surely you were referencing me when you spoke of a big, burly, tattooed badass 🤣
    All joking aside: I think it’s great that you open up about mental health. The more we all talk about it the more other people will open up about it.
    I appreciate you sharing, thank you!
    PS: I worry about you and your lack of gear…be careful my friend.

    Ok, You've been one of my favs for some time now. Enough that I often eagarly await your next video. You've gone up a couple of notches all because of your admissions in this video. Hang in there. Mental issues don't have to be related to motorcycles for motorcyclists to have them. Good post, best of luck and best of travels, road and mental.

      @JeremyKroeker we are close enough (Victoria) we may one day meet, maybe at HU Canwest. Had to cancel this year because of a re-separated rib. Would love to chat about life, the universe and everything.

    Hi Jeremy.
    Your pleasant narator voice kept me company on my commute from Edmonton to Calgary this past Friday and then i partially on the return back to Edmonton yesterday.
    Yes i cheated and listened to the UA-cam of your Motorcycle Therapy book.
    But, kind sir, i don't want to rip you off that way.
    I hope someday to meet you, and after purchasing some of your hard copies, hopefully, have you sign them. I already have a friend in mind that i think will appreciate your style. Christmas is coming....
    In Motorcycle Therapy , You've convinced me that i have a 0% desire to go ride through South America.
    Im perfectly content exploring Canada and the NW of the US. But you made me lol several times as well..
    Please post if you ever do an event or a book singing in Canmore/Calgary or even Fernie/Radium or something like that.
    Thanks for the mention regarding mental heath.
    You nailed it.
    I saw a therapist for a few sessions almost 30 years ago.
    It did wonders..
    Cheers.
    PG.

      I hope to be at all the motorcycle shows in Western Canada again, if they run. Maybe I’ll see you there. (My books are also available on my website, MotorcycleTherapy.com, or on Amazon, or at your local bookstore if you ask them to order them in.)

    OMG at 12:12.! My Heart skipped a Beat, I thought for sure you were going end-up tumbling into the deepest part of the gravel trench.!!
    I gotta keep watching to see what happens next. Have you ever thought about making a video and then post two versions of it.? One being a longer version of say under 30mins and the other version around under 15 mins.? The reason I ask, is bcz this video is almost over and I would have liked to watch and listen to more of it. I like when you have a verbal Topic but split that topic up with humor & cleaver jokes and beautiful scenery. I LOVE that when other watch you MotoVlogs they see Alberta and B.C. are so beautiful and you can get away all by yourself and think about life.

    • @JeremyKroeker
      @JeremyKroeker  Рік тому

      Yes, I have thought about doing two versions of a video. That’s good feedback. Fitting in the time to do all the editing, that’s the challenge.

    Oh man.
    You have my empathy.
    I have been challenged by cancer, murder attempt and a million other stuff. = 7 years of therapy.
    All settled now.
    There IS actually a way through the tunnel.
    But may I advise as little medicine as you can handle. Best non at all.
    Medicine will turn off "the light at the end of the tunnel".
    And then...............................buy a Ducati.
