Hi there,
You can find the electronic control boards on our website, PartSelect [dot] com. If you'd like me to direct you to the part appropriate for your model, feel free to leave your model number and I'd be happy to do the search for you. Thanks!
Why would these boards need replacing (in the first place) ?
It would be helpful to show how you test these to see if they're functional so I know if I actually need to purchase a new one. Is there a video on that?
My w/pool is S20B R8820-A/G, the freezer is 2 -- signs and flashing beeping triangle, what is it i need to fix it please, thank you
recently replaced main circuit board for my kfis25xvms2. from water dispenser panel is now displaying PE0...000. how to reprogram. Thank you.
Steve is a great instructor ! He keeps it simple with the instructions & doesn't add unnecessary talk. Sometimes people get into explaining information that isn't necessary & the focus on the task is lost. The instructor here is a great teacher!
Thank you so much
Are you kidding! That was so easy! I have a Kitchenaid Model KSRP25FNSS00. The fridge works (cold) for several days and then not warm. Supposedly I need to replace the control board. Also, the icemaker does not work or per the local repairman - "signal not going to the board to dispense water" all in all it will cost over $700 to fix.
Any advise and would you have the parts I need? DIY'er here.

I have the exact model from your video, Kitchen Aid KSSC36QMS and my ice maker stopped working. The ice dispenser also doesn't work and makes no noise at all. The water dispenser does work. The light does turn on when I hit the ice dispenser lever. What could be causing the problem?
hi i change the other board the one on the back for a giofsaxvy06 whirlpool gold part #w10312695 but i have to program it can u tell me how ty
Can you please help me- I have a Whirl Pool Gold (Model # GS6NBEXRL02) side by side that the ice/water dispenser panel on the front of the freezer door has no power and is not making ice. Everything else on the unit is working perfectly. Would you know which control board I should replace? Thank you!
+Sonia Malott You would need to consult the electrical schematic diagram for your model to help
determine the cause. We do not have access to the diagram for your model.
Great Video Just ordered my parts. Now on to another problem Do you have a video on how to take out the ice maker unit for this same model?
Hi there,
To program the unit, you need to open the refrigerator door and observe the model tag. There'll be a four-digit code that says "code" that you'll need to replace the 0's with. Pressing the upper right keypad and lower right keypad will increase or decrease the numbers, and the upper left keypad will allow you to move to the next digit. Press and hold the lower left keypad to save the number - it should flash. Finally, hold the water button for three seconds to exit.
Hope that helps!
Great video!! Hope you can help me. I have whirlpool model GI5FSAXVY02, my water and ice dispenser panel when I attempt to get either just blinks and shuts off. Would I also need to replace the electronic control board as well. Or is there a different part needed
***** I have sent your question to Steve and will let you know as soon as he has an answer for you.
Looking for MAIN board. NOT ice maker laser circuit. That video shows ice maker issues, Not Main Board.
Hi Ken. Do you have the model number of your refrigerator? If so, I can see if I can track down a video showing how to replace it, and can probably point you toward the right replacement part for your fridge!
@@partselect whirlpool gd5rhaxnb00
@@partselect Any interchangeability? I have a good GE Profile Side by Side from 2001ish. Maybe the board is generic?
I have a Whirlpool Gold model number GS6SHEXNS00 upon being plugged in and left for several hours, it does not cool the refrigerator or the freezer. Would love some help on what I need to do. Thank you
Check to see if the evaporator and condenser fans, and the compressor are running. If none are running, look at the control board. If the fans are running but not the compressor, then check the relay, start device or overload.
Thank you. I have looked at it however at that time I believe it was out of stock. Will check back again soon.
Please help me I don't know how to find the board or where to buy it
HELP Steve! while replacing my water filter, water starting gushing out. I watched your video on replacing the housing for the filter. Before that though, I had a neighbor mess with it and he tore apart the hose that's in the front. He tells me I need the coupling? I don't know what that part is called, but he says before I replace the housing, I will need to replace the coupling on the hose (in front), or it will leak. My question is, what is that "coupling" called? and can it be replaced?
Hi Rosemary,
There is a coupling behind the kick plate that connects the tubing from the inlet water valve at the rear of the refrigerator to the dispenser tubing inside the freezer door. This coupling is used to allow removal of the complete freezer door without having to remove the water line from the valve. The most common type of coupling used is the quick release style that uses a collet that can be depressed to allow the tubing to be removed. Please supply us with your model number so that we can help you with a part number.
I like the homely feel of your video tutorial. Something very warming (ha!) about them.
can you please help me my ice maker never stop making ice and tray overflowing ice, every times i open the freezer door, thanks!!!!!
fabian carrazan What model number do you have?
Is that the problem when the refrigerator stops cooling
The freezer and ice maker works good
And it is a whirlpool ?!
Hi Jeff, what is your model number?
When replacing the control board, I broke the flapper housing on the left side of the freezer. Do you know where I can find a replacement part?
Hi David,
What is the model number on your refrigerator? Once I have that I can locate the part you will need.
***** Thanks for your reply. I believe I found the part PS329980. Thanks again for your help.
Glad to hear you found it! Good luck with your repair!
Thanks for the great video's
Where do to buy the board
I have a Whirlpool model #GSF26C5EXB02. Ice maker suddenly stopped making ice. I have no lights when I depress the sensor so I'm assuming that's where the problem lies. There are no screws on the ice maker controls. Can you tell me how to remove the sensors? Thanks much. I always enjoy your videos.
Did you ever figure this out? My fridge doesn't have screws where I think the ice maker control board / emitter is but I don't want to pry it open if that is not how to do it. Thanks!
