My question is why he doesn’t just run at full speed all the time? Like I get it’s a TV show and there NEEDS to be conflict. But the only villains that really make sense are other speedsters, otherwise it just makes Barry look like a dumbass.

I've did the math and for the nuke one it took barry 0.8 seconds in real time for him to stop it

Love how in the beginning they say that he needs the suit otherwise his clothes would just burn, yet he keeps running around in his normal clothes
It's a speed force aura around him preventing him from catching fire
Maybe he could run with normal clothes for a set time, until the clothes gain enough heat to burn
At season 1, he was not fast enough to generate lightning, after he generates lightning he can wear normal clothes because of the speed force aura.
Dceu flash can generate lightning yet he still gets his clothes burnt

You can say what you will about season 4, but it had some of the shows best moments
For the nuke one, its crazy to think that barry did all that in a matter of seconds

Flashtime is so cool, though the world must constantly feel like it's moving in slow motion when you can do that.
Why can't barry do this for season 7 to 9
