My mom died last year around Mother’s Day. Growing up, I remember listening to Duran Duran’s wedding album and hearing this song all the time. I loved it then, and I still love it today. Today would be my mom’s birthday. She absolutely loved your music, Adam. There wasn’t a song she disliked of yours! This made me cry this morning because it’s like it’s a present from her. It reminds me of the good times and it is also something I could picture her loving so much. I appreciate this remake. It may take a while for me to not cry when I hear it because I’m forever going to think about my mom when I hear it, but I will cherish this for years to come!

Keep listening to it and think of mum. If you cry, you cry. Its the love that you had for her coming through. I lost my Dad only 8 weeks ago, funeral was 2 weeks ago. I thought exactly the same. I ADORE Adam and for him to cover this song by my favourite band is just like a present from heaven. I think our special people connected and sent it down for us. Its a belief I hold very very dear. His American Idol journey gave a reason to keep going at a very bleak point in my life. When his voice soars he takes my soul with him.
Being a Duranie for decades, I've never been thrilled when another singer tries to cover their songs... but this arrangement and Adam's vocals are insanely spectacular. I've loved and respected Adam and his talent since his run on Idol. Imo, there's nobody else whose vocal abilities come close to equalling the acrobatics of Freddie Mercury's, so that Brian and Roger can continue playing live shows full of crackling energy. Adam aces this amazing cover by giving it the care it deserves and, of course, displaying his killer pipes from start to finish. How fortunate are we to be alive at the same time as Adam? I am pre-ordering his album!
Marc Martel (queen tribute band from queen extravaganza) has freddie's voice but no stage presence. Adam Lambert is a brilliant singer and oozes charisma! Combine the 2 and freddie would be reborn!

I wasn't too sure when I saw the shirt a couple of days ago. I love DD very much, but I am a fan of Adam's too since Idol. I'm glad I watched this because he's made the song his own and it's beautiful, more like a love song.

I'm not usually a fan of covers, but Adam is one of the few artists that can not only pull it off, but improve it. His voice seems to enter your ears, travel through your spine and radiate through your fingertips. We are all blessed to be able to hear such a heavenly sound.

"Ordinary World" is a song that I hold near and dear to my heart. I get very defensive whenever someone attempts to cover it. I say attempt because they step up to the plate and they strike out. This is the first cover that I have ever heard that actually moved me. The arrangement is superb and Adam's vocal delivery is one of his best. Way to go dude! You stepped up to the plate and you knocked it out of the damn park!
You sound just like me. I''m the same about any Duran Duran song. It is like it is precious! To cover a song by them it would need to be something bloody special and along comes my favourite solo artist ( by a long shot) He has done me ( and many other Durannies) very very proud. I am sure that he must wonder what the fans of such classic songs will think. Well this die hard Durannie is MOST HAPPY :-)

Adam conveys such emotion through his amazing voice. I am losing my husband slowly through dementia and heart disease. This song and his performance of Believe at the Kennedy Center gives me chills and comfort at the same time. An amazing artist who really speaks to his audience

I fell in love with Ordinary World the first time I heard it and it quickly became my favorite Duran Duran song. When my husband (we were married for almost 30 years) died unexpectedly three years ago, this song became the theme song for my life.
I have always said that if an artist is going to cover any song, much less a beloved and signature one, then the artist better make it his/her own and not just do a remake of the original. My goodness, has Adam done just that with this lovely performance. The orchestration is both haunting and soothing at the same time. Adam's vocals make you close your eyes and simply enjoy the ride that he takes you on.

I also wanted to add that this song took on a new meaning for me recently. My lovely Dad passed away 8 weeks ago. It's only 2 weeks since his funeral. I would listen to the original song and it was about Dad. For Adam, my other HUGE favourite artist to cover it so beautifully it honestly feels like a personal gift has been sent from somewhere far away. I know not everyone will get what I mean. But believe me it's all good. I cannot thank you enough Adam for bringing this into our lives again with such tenderness. So so special.

I have never felt what I feel, your performance was 100%, God is all encompassing Love in so many ways. I read is much about you after idols, it's not been easy for you. Know this, I feel your pain not because I want to. I am very outspoken and it has cost me my marriage and security. This song at 60 has made me realise, I need to seek the ordinary life and work out how to go on. When I watch you sing, and I listen, there is something inside of you, I can identify. Gorgeous! This man could make singing the telephone directory powerful, rich and interesting. The most talented vocalist alive today. I wish he would release "A Change is Gonna Come". When he sang that in the final of "American Idol", I knew immediately that I would follow what he does for the rest of my life. Talent like his is a once-in-a- generation thing.

Lord have mercy, this man's voice his lower register is sexy, sultry and smooth as silk with looks that will drive you insane.
