I used to feel the exact same way about having me time. Everyone always needed me and I always went but once I started drinking, I couldn’t do it every time then. You just explained something extremely important to me. Thank you!❤

Thank you for your story, I almost died from an alcoholic seizure in September 2016

I’m sorry you went through that. Those things are extremely scary and life threatening. I’m glad you’re here.❤

A very good friend was recently diagnosed with decompensated Cirrhosis. She is survivor of a really awful domestic abuse relationship. She never sought counseling to deal with the aftermath, instead drank. She was miserable. It was after awhile of noticing subtle changes in her physical appearance, that one day the shit hit the fan. She came to my house for a game day with others, she was panicked, could barely walk, her legs and feet were like sausages and her belly was huge. She fell twice.
She was still working , at age 68, in a job where she was on her feet everyday. Looking back, I would call her at night and she repeated herself, slurred words , made no sense, and talked too much.
Cirrhosis came on quickly it seemed.. She ended up in the hospital for a week or so, got her ascites drained , etc, then in a nursing home for 2 weeks.
Its awful. Very recently ,living with her sister.I haven’t seen her in over a month. I am a social Drinker, maybe 1 or 2 glasses of wine total in a weekend, one drink a night, with lots of ice. Thats not even every weekend.
    Scared off of it now

So, good. Thank you for sharing your story. I had high level liver enzymes told to me in 2019, which ignited my sober curious roller coaster to present day. I am day 23 no alcohol. I appreciate these stories so much and Landslide is my favorite song too xo

Mine was elevated also, about 20 points, not sure if that is significant but my doctor told me to stop taking Advil so often.....will check it in 1 month
