I think I've heard over a hundred performances of this same ballade, and yours is one of the bests I've seen in all of UA-cam. My brain was very confused the first time I heard it, because I'm so used to it being played in A=440Hz that hearing it at a lower tune is really odd. However, after a few times I got used to it, and it's really pleasant to hear. Truly majestic work, sending love from Italy
Thank you for your heartwarming comment😊This tuning is around A=415Hz, which is almost semi tone down. I felt it weird at first too and Chopin also might have been confused with 440Hz tuning as it was around 430Hz at his era.
SO WONDERFUL AS ALWAYS!!!!! Thank you for my absolutely favourite Chopin's Ballade No.1 in G Minor in an excellent rendition, I've added this great video to my public playlist called "My Favourite Classical Music" , Btw. I play this masterpiece, although this Coda is too difficult for me yet and I love an outstanding Polish pianist Zimerman, my countryman, again my best wishes from Poland to England, have a nice weekend. Joanna
Thank you for your comment, Joanna! I hope you will play well. Coda is difficult for me as well or I guess for all people. But I feel the middle part is much harder to be honest. Good luck 8-) Actually, Zimerman is absolutely my favourite and special pianist for me. The first time I saw him perform was in 2009 in Nagano, which is my hometown, and it was incredible. I've been going to all his recital in Japan after that. I'm so glad that we can share about the greatest pianist :)
Nice, the sound of the piano is so oddly and hauntingly beautiful plus your excellent playing! Well done sir. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
There's something magical about hearing pieces in a vintage/old piano... also a bonus if they're slightly out of tune! Great video!
Thank you for your comment!

I'm glad you like it!
I'll play sometimes on this piano :)

the mistake you made on 9:10 is truly a magic stunning performance
this is awesome!

This is so cool. Love this pc❤
Thank you😊

Actually sounds kinda like an Erard (not like a pleyel :P). Would fit perfectly for a Koczalski interpretation
Thank you for your comment :)
I didn't know both of Erard and Koczalski.
These are interesting, I'm gonna check them out.

fucking magnificent
👍🌚
Vintage ones are better in general when compared tier to tier though
A vintage piano which hasn’t been tuned for years ?
Painful. sorry !
It's baroque tuning. A415
tune that shit man
It’s a vintage piano, baroque tuning
