Yes there are many people who dislikes the way Durga puja is celebrated in Bengal. But let me tell you that Durga is treated as daughter here who comes every year to visit her fathers home(considered as Earth ) along with her son and daughters Laxmi saraswati, ganesh and kartick. In Bengal you will never find that Durga Ma is worshipped alone..In puja organised at home the idol is worshipped in 'Ek Chala 'which means that family stays together.Best foods are offered to her during these days just like when your daughter comes home after so many days..father and mother arranges for the best...So this is time of prayer, worship feasting and celebration as our daughter has come home from Heaven..Love from Bengal
Kolkata is a city which has seen age old traditions living in harmony with modern innovations. A city so unique, it is a living character with emotions flowing freely...in true sense, THE CITY OF JOY. Thank you Ethereal for making this video montage. What I like the most about this video is its simplicity in depiction of people just enjoying themselves during Durga Pujo with the beautiful narration in the bg. Love Kolkata...LOVE ETHEREAL!!!

I am a bengali and enjoy durga puja every year in kolkata. I admit that durga puja means a totaly different thing to bengalis but this video takes you to a totally different view of durga puja. I don't know why but I literally started crying when the durga visharjan happend. This proves that the goddess, being a mother to the three worlds, is like a daughter to all the bengali families, who, when comes from her husband's house, brings joy and happiness and when goes, leaves a mark of sorrow on us… plz durga, come fast, we are waiting for you.

We dnt give a "F" who ever hates our way of worshiping goddess durga! We are the best! Our culture is the best...... JOY BANGLA!
Thanks Ishan :)
I'm non bengali ( punjabi🚩) From the state of "UTTAR PRADESH" actually its my fav. festival ever , In my home we celebrate durga puja with great enthusiasm; but I am not bengali can any one become my frnd and teach me bengali culture and make me bengali😅😅. Durga pooja is one of my favourite festival I just love to celebrate it ❤❤❤❤ generally Mai Jharkhand se Hu but kyuki Jharkhand or Bengal jude hue hai na sirf Bengal but Jharkhand Ka bhi Durga pooja bohot khoobsurat hota and even Mera ghr pr saari ladies Bengali culture or tradition follow krti hai MERI Nani Bengali hai or MERI dadi Bihari so I have a great combination of these two tradition😊😊❤❤❤❤❤😍😍😍🌸🌸🌸🌸😁😁😁😁
Offf vai... Osadharon shots gulo naoa hoyeche... Just awsome... Video ta 20 mins holeo aktana dekhe jetam...music tao matches fully. Kindly more videos for 2019 Durga puja.
Witnessed all these pandals this Puja!!! These pandals mostly belongs to South Kolkata like Jodhpur park, Mudiali, 95 Pally etc etc.....! Absolutely Fantastic!
That red one which started the video was in dumdum park..
Actually that was Mudiali Club.
@@EtherealColours ues you are right but i spotted dumdum park tarun sangha in 1:45 . Though i admit most of the pujas are from south Kolkata.
If they even show few good pujas the video will be an hour long, there r 200_300 big pujas and it keeps increasing every year
People who witness them knows the magic and 5 days is not even enough to cover most of them 🙄
I am a bengali and enjoy durga puja every year in kolkata.
I'm really missing this great Durga festival from Texas, USA ,although Durga festival is celebrated all over the world but Kolkata carries a different importance of Hindu community's biggest festival Durga worship. My body of flesh and blood is in Texas but but soul is in Kolkata. Miss you all.
Ethereal adorable work dude, keep showing us the positivity and go ahead
I think Kolkata is by far the greatest and most the beautiful city on earth . I think can ditch any other city in the world for Kolkata .
I have realized the value of it after I have stayed outside for one year! nothing can beat the emotional attachment of Kolkata
So true! It's a city full of emotions...
you are overrating it !!!
@@kaustabpaul4514 why u think so 🙄
Durga pujo is like a connection which connect every bengali
It's in our blood

Thank u for this video... This is beautiful 💖💖💖💖
Waiting for Durga Puja, one of the biggest festival of India😍😍😍.
This year, we will rock.
Not one of the it's the biggest
@@anikbiswas478 na bhai. It's no way the biggest. It's only limited to eastern parts i.e Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand,Assam, Tripura, Some parts of UP and North East. Rest all North India celebrates Navratri, keeps Fasting and burn ravan. And South India has totally different traditions.
By the end ,I had tears in my eyes.Veryy touching video creation and choice of music.
I am from Kolkata and am proud of culture, art and traditions of Bengal ! One ☝️ cannot find in any other place artisans who create such charismatic puja pandals !
As a bengali i have never seen the durga puja scenes with these kind of Angles and perceptions, this video transcends me into a completely different world of self Renaissance that i have never experienced regarding pujo. Loved your work man ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I dont know your name. I have been following your videos for quite sometime now. The way you have captured the Durga Puja in Kolkata no one has done it ever (atleast I have not seen anything like this). I must tell you, that you are India's one of the best. Keep it up.
Thanks. What's in the name? What's important is that you loved the film. :)
Sucha wonderfully created film...I'm spell bound.🤩
Captures and delivers the true essence of the grand festival from Bengal
exceptional filmography bro... these are the days we begali wait for & relive for
A durga pujo video without a *DHAK* is *Incomplete*
What's the meaning of "dhak" in bangla?
@@yogimogaveera4044 umm...it's basically the sound of the drum being played in a fantastic rhythm
I Am From Gujarat But I Just Love Bengali Culture And Durga Pujo 💜

Best video I've seen in months... Made me shed my tears... Love from kota... Amar sonar bangla... Ami tomay valobashi...
The feeling of not being in Kolkata during Durga Puja for the first time is bitting me from inside with every passing day. The entire journey of 5 days during puja has aptly been put in a frame in the 5 minutes of your video. I really did not expect a guy from North India to connect with Durga Puja and it's essence this strong. It reminded me of my home, my family, my friends, my city and the festivity of Durga Puja. Really loved your work and the presentation. Wish you all the luck for your future projects. Keep going.

Hi I m archie nd I m a transgender nd i stay at Chandigarh far from home and family who stays at Kolkata... I cnt go nd celebrate which i used to . It breaks my heart watching this video... I can still feel the smile of mom and dad ,laughter of Friend and families, gossip of aunties about their sarees shopping, Food , music, dance..i miss the vision of smoke of dhup nd smell of aarti that used to happen every evening... I miss the drum beats ....i miss, getting ready nd late nd running to take anjali (prayers) with my sister ...the days goes on ...nd the last day come ...i cried everyyear watching maa druga eyes in the refection on mirror inside water, feels even she is sad to leave ...i miss the dance in the road and trucks, which cannot ever be fulfilled other Then being in home nd celebrating the puja...now it feel incomplete.
By far this is the best documentary on Durga Puja I have ever seen till date. The copyright of this video should be taken by #West_Bengal Govt for promoting West Bengal tourism.. kudos to the effort..

The scene of "Kumari Puja" made me emotional.By far, this is the best documentary on Durga Puja I've watched. I'm a bengali and I can tell one thing, "Durga Puja" is not just a festival or a Puja for us, it's much much more, much nearer to our heart. Its a feeling of our daughter/mother coming back to our home, the joy and emotion attached to it is immeasurable.
Breathtaking work once again, hope west bengal tourism finds and recognizes this.
